trousers Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 Jimmy Nail's uncle used to be my mum and dad's neighbour. True, but somewhat dull, story.

For me it came down to a toss up between Jimmy and Geoff from Byker Grove. Thanks though. Edited 19 April, 2019 by CB Fry
Badger Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 He talks a good game about leaving but his family are in the north east & it suits him to be there. It's the only reason he's still there. I read he still has a home near Liverpool.
John Boy Saint Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 I read he still has a home near Liverpool. Think I read that he found it strange having kids with scouse accents. In a similar vein I had a mate who was properNewcastle Geordie, get him drunk and subtitles were needed, he was on the books at Marseilles as a nipper, spoke fluent French with a southern French accent, which a French friend found weird for someone so Geordie. Think I tenuously kept that on subject.................carry on
Avenue_Saint Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 We're clearly going to go 4-2-2-2. Vest being out means it's the perfect opportunity. I would play any formation as long as it accommodates the need to NOT play Jack “can’t read the game” Stephens.
Charlie Wayman Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 JWP running the line? He'd be good at that trotting up and down without interfering with play except for the times he has to stick his arm in the air to flag off-side (he's good at that too) but I never did understand what it was meant to convey to team mates. Perhaps, I've no bloody idea where this one is gong?
Saint Garrett Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 He's too good for a club in their position. He shoukd move and challenge himself. He’s the Spanish Allardyce.
Danny R Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 Does anyone remember the Jimmy Nail is God graffiti at riverside park? Was there for at least a decade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CB Fry Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 He’s the Spanish Allardyce. If Sam Allardyce had won the league and the Europa League and the Champions League.
SNSUN Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 Gunn, Valery, Bednarek, Yoshida, Bertrand, Romeu, Hojbjerg, JWP, Armstrong, Redmond, Ings. Subs: McCarthy, Stephens, Targett, Slattery, Sims, Austin, Long. If Vestergaard is out. Tempting as it is to start Long after his incredible recent scoring extravaganza, I hope we leave him as an impact sub. Lemina on the bench or too soon? This is a bit of a weird game really, as we're both still in a relegation battle, but barring a strange set of results, we're both safe. I have us down for losing this game, which is no great shakes, but we could just as easily turn up and win it, looking at our recent form. It's possible one goal either way will nick it. I can't see a goalfest.
sammysaint93 Posted 19 April, 2019 Posted 19 April, 2019 Disappointed with the amount of outbound players who supported the #Enough campaign today

So I'd imagine Long will start vs Watford & Ings will start vs Newcastle & Bournemouth.
Bad Wolf Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Got 2-2 written all over it IMO. Both teams are almost safe but not officially. I can see both teams wanting a point just to make sure, knowing that Cardiff are unlikely to get anything from their game against Liverpool.

Sheaf Saint Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Just off to get the train from Sheffield. What pubs are people heading to before the game?
Charlie Wayman Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Just off to get the train from Sheffield. What pubs are people heading to before the game? We're playing at Newcastle old cock, didn't anybody tell you before you left? Better get your skates on!
Grim Reaper Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 He is just off to get the train FROM Sheffield old cock ! Not TO Sheffield
broken spoke Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 So does Dave Merrington I think. Mr Le Tissier, lives on the outskirts of North Baddesley
trousers Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Just off to get the train from Sheffield. What pubs are people heading to before the game?I'm here with my son. Decent place, lots of space + outside area. Watching the City v Spurs game on big screen TV.
jamesfp1 Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Really don't know what to expect from this one. Both teams have turned things around of late. Who knows. 5-4 Saints.
VectisSaint Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Mr Le Tissier, lives on the outskirts of North Baddesley Mr Le Tissier is not a geordie as far as I know. Unless they moved the Channel Islands to Tyneside.
bpsaint Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Who's the ref today? Anthony Taylor, last reffed us against Fulham at home a few weeks ago
niceandfriendly Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 (edited) Where's Shearer live? Chandlers Ford? And Lawrie Mc? Shearer's place in Chandler's Ford has been up on the market now for over 2 years. They kept it even after he went to Blackburn and it was rented out to a Spanish family for at least 15 years but they've since moved back home. Edited 20 April, 2019 by niceandfriendly
Appy Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 No Valery. Looks like Stephens at RB. Vestergaard out too.
whelk Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 At this rate won’t have to do much to be up the MOTD line up. Dull day in PL
Saint Albert Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Looks like a back 4 today with Stephens at RB.
Toadhall Saint Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Looks like a back 4 today with Stephens at RB. 433 is my guess
Bad Wolf Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Or JWP at RWB and Stephens slotting into the middle?
Saint Albert Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Or JWP at RWB and Stephens slotting into the middle? That’s a possibility.
davefizzy14 Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Jack starts too hope he has a great game today. Nice to see Fraser back on the bench also
Pamplemousse Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Stephens at right back interesting. Draw I reckon.
Colinjb Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Forster? A treat for the Geordie lad perhaps. Interesting that he is ahead of McCarthy for this one.
beatlesaint Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 A treat for the Geordie lad perhaps. Interesting that he is ahead of McCarthy for this one. Didnt RH say McCarthy had a small injury problem during the week ?
Saint Albert Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 A treat for the Geordie lad perhaps. Interesting that he is ahead of McCarthy for this one. Hasenhüttl mentioned in his presser that McCarthy has an injury.
VectisSaint Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Forster? Big guy, goalkeeper allegedly, very expensive. Guess that would be him.
K,Billy's supersound Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Stephens at right back interesting. Draw I reckon. Draw at best now. Stephens is ****. Rondon to beast him
Saint Albert Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Valery’s out because of illness, according to Hasenhüttl.
manji Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Valery’s out because of illness, according to Hasenhüttl. Two youngsters rushed in Taxi as cover Kanye Ramsey and Alfie Jones.
Greenridge Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 Stephens at right back interesting. Draw I reckon. Our only other RB is out on loan
TWar Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 The way the team is written that's a 4222. They generally report left to right back to front on the saints twitter

davefizzy14 Posted 20 April, 2019 Posted 20 April, 2019 I reckon it could be 3-4-3 but wouldn't atall be surprised if its Ralph's favoured system of 4-2-2-2. COYR
