S-Clarke Posted 16 April, 2019 Share Posted 16 April, 2019 No chance we'd be in with a shout on Timo. He will go to a top CL level club.
eelpie Posted 17 April, 2019 Share Posted 17 April, 2019 Well that is roughly £650k saved from the wage bill every year. It might be a case of Gao wanting more control following the dismal 2/3 years we have had since his takeover. Thanks for the service Ralph- presided over both the good and the bad of the last 6 years. I've never felt that Krueger added to SFC and only thought he was brought in because Kat wanted to be rid of the Don. Intriguing politics; especially as to what happens next. eelpie Posted 17 April, 2019 Share Posted 17 April, 2019 The company I work for are having their AGM this week.....the Chairman of the company is over and he already owns a team in the NBA. Cant tell you the amount of times I've thought about "doing a Cortese" and bringing SFC to his attention! He even has a couple of super yachts, so we could also do the "yacht spotted in Ocean village" stuff again! So sounds lkie he would be even more expensive than Krueger

Saint Albert Posted 19 April, 2019 Share Posted 19 April, 2019 There’s an article in my local newspaper, which features an interview with Krueger. It is mainly Krueger explaining why he won’t return to the Edmonton Oilers, but there are some comments on Southampton. After six years in my role now, I’m also looking at options in football somewhere else in the Premier League... I was committed to finishing that contract,” he said. “It was to hire specialists in all the different areas and I really got a blank slate there. I really enjoyed that process. It’s kind of like a job done now. I feel it’s time for me to move on. “To stay in the Premier League now, six years in a row for a club that works on a sort of self-sustaining budget and always has to live within our means was a challenge. It’s just the right time to move on to something else. “This Southampton job became such a baby of mine over six years that I’m still working hard to make the transition. The reason I had to make the move now is that the transfer window opens right when the season ends,” he said of the final days of play. “My brain has only, for 10 days or so, begun to open up to what the options are and where I’m going to go, but I haven’t made any concrete decisions. “I’m just starting to have some conversations but I couldn’t tell you where this is going to end right now. I’m definitely not going to be in a rush. It’s really important for me to find the right thing than the timing of it” https://edmontonjournal.com/sports/hockey/nhl/edmonton-oilers/jones-krueger-on-oilers-gm-job-thats-a-chapter-you-just-cant-reopen/wcm/0dcace95-6c81-4037-a90a-80a4280ed96e

VectisSaint Posted 19 April, 2019 Share Posted 19 April, 2019 Paul Allen recently launched the biggest aeroplane. Fact. His company may have done (Stratolaunch), but Paul Allen certainly didn't.

Portugalsaint Posted 21 April, 2019 Share Posted 21 April, 2019 Yes, but if soneone is offered head of recruitment at the three big clubs, could you stave that off by offering them the chairman position? Purely speculation of course. But maybe a possibility Mitchell looking to make decisions in the summer. A combined role along with promotion could bring him home.....let’s hope.
