nta786 Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Watford and Wolves both winning must be a slight help to us. Neither have anything to play for in the league really, and so are likely to focus on the Cup. Probably only of marginal benefit, but you can imagine their players wishing to avoid yellow/red cards at almost any price, players with very minor niggles being rested/subbed etc. I still think the FA Cup probably saved us last season - our run to the semis meant we ended up playing Swansea when they were in a death spiral rather than in the middle of a decent-ish patch of form. that isn't true. they are both fighting for 7th place, which is 90% likely to get you a Europa League spot. I can't speak for their fixture lists tbf, but I'd say it is very probable that City will take the FA Cup, meaning Watford/Wolves should really go for 7th as their likeliest route to Europe next season.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 lol @ VVD howler, klopp will be fuming if the result finishes like that, priceless what a great weekend of results
SaintBobby Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Liverpool 2-1 up after a stupid penalty. Kind of wanted Fulham to win this one, as they can't catch us anyway IMHO.
IOWSaintDaz Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 soft pen that but the dippers were always gonna get it
Saints foreva Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Brighton going to extra time after an howler from the Millwall keeper.
Lighthouse Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 soft pen that but the dippers were always gonna get it Soft? It was as blatant as you will see, he literally just grabbed Mané around the waist.
SaintAndy14 Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Brighton potentially about to somehow clutch a win from the jaws of defeat. This would give them a massive morale boost.

Difficult one to call really, win and it will be a boost to morale, but they might have one eye on the SF when we play them, or defeat today, could there be a backlash etc?
whelk Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Soft? It was as blatant as you will see, he literally just grabbed Mané around the waist. No he got a message from the cabal central control telling him to give it. It’s all planned

The more games they have the better imo. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
whelk Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Would be nice if Millwall keeper becomes hero saving some pens
mrfahaji Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 I don't have anything against them as a club really, but this Brighton team seem to have an incredible knack of getting goals in improbable circumstances. Have they ever actually played well? Ever?!
The Cat Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Way to **** all over Brighton fans celebrations by making the semi draw straight away and giving them Man City. Haha.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Brighton potentially about to somehow clutch a win from the jaws of defeat. This would give them a massive morale boost. It will also keep them interested in the cup and hopefully go a bit soft on the league as players make sure they are fit for wembley
Heisenberg Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Everton playing some really sexy football today. Blew Chelsea away 2nd half. Race for top 7 heating up now. 1 from 5. You'd fancy Wolves. But Leicester are now looking alive n kicking under Brendan.
Shandy_Top_89 Posted 17 March, 2019 Posted 17 March, 2019 Way to **** all over Brighton fans celebrations by making the semi draw straight away and giving them Man City. Haha. Are Man City on the verge of the easiest route to an FA Cup final of all time; Rotherham (h) Burnley (h) Newport (a) Swansea (a) Brighton (Wembley) Their League Cup run wasn’t the toughest either; Oxford Fulham Leicester Burton... They certainly don’t need any luck, but they seem to get it in spades.

Tamesaint Posted 18 March, 2019 Posted 18 March, 2019 Everton playing some really sexy football today. Blew Chelsea away 2nd half. . https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/mar/17/maurizio-sarri-chelsea-everton? Not quite what the Guardian thinks. It sounds as if you were lucky to still be in the match at half time.

But Leicester are now looking alive n kicking under Brendan. Chelsea eventually paid the price for their airy-fairy, give it to Hazard attitude in the first half. If they'd have scored when they had a fair few good chances Everton would probably not have ramped it up in the second half. Anyway Sarri needs sacking, his systems will never, ever bring success in the Premier League. Kanté is probably the world's best number 6 but Sarri insists on playing Jorghino there with Kanté in a number 8 role.
