Katalinic Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Yoshida please In two words you have summed up our decline
LGTL Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 No doubt Stephens will be crying on social media again at a few nasty messages towards him.
Wes Tender Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 I wonder whether Plymouth might want Stephens back again. Please give Yoshida a chance
Charlie Wayman Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Please get Stephens and Ward Drose on the next train out of Waterloo. Bertie and Yosh on you moron!
striker Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Our defence looks completely unorganized. Ralph should recognize we just don't have the players to go 3 in the back like he wants. Its about finding a scheme to win with what you have, not just putting in a formation regardless of the talent because you like it
St Marco Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Another dire first half for us. Had one or two decent bits of play but overall have been really poor. Their keeper could probably have taken the first half off.
DT Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 You got infracted for being a massively repetitive ****. They’d do well to give another few. Give it a rest, what is it you want? A medal for being the most negative **** on here? I could give him mine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wadesmith Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Massive wake up call for some. Ralph-Ball simply not working.
redkeith Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 He should have advised Stephens to cut the fcking mistakes out That's 4 out of the last 5 conceded that are down to Stephens' s errors. Needs a rest .
SuperSAINT Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Interesting formation: No striker or seemingly a defence.
Bad Wolf Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 I wonder whether Plymouth might want Stephens back again. Please give Yoshida a chance Oh he can do no wrong here. You try telling them he's cack or even average, they won't have it.
Ohio Saint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Come on Saints! All you need to do now is beat a far better team away from home 3-0 in 45 minutes.
austsaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Someone said we look dazed and confused - and we do. The poor defending is obvious; but the midfield has been totally overrun - is Ward-Prowse playing in mid-field? And we look to have only Armstrong and Redmond as attacking players - feeble and embarrassing so far.
Baird of the land Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 2nd game in a row where I just looked at the starting 11 and winced.
beatlesaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Interesting formation: No striker or seemingly a defence. Brilliant
Charlie Wayman Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Who are the media team going to roll out after this game? Romeu is my bet. Nah, it'll be Bednarek as he seems to be the only one who has an effing clue.
Draino76 Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 http://zoneland90.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_65.html looks like a 4k stream
SaintAndy14 Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Yoshida put in a MOTM performance away to Chelsea - interceptions and clearances by the dozen - and Arsenal were always going to pose similar threats the way they come forward. So why is Yoshida on the bench?!?! I wonder what they were doing in Tenerife as this is poor against a pretty average Arsenal side.
Wes Tender Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 There were times during the half that we put some real pressure on Arsenal's defence and then typically one of their players went down injured and the momentum went and we didn't get it back. No reason why we shouldn't get it back if we start the second half on the front foot and don't allow Arsenal to settle. The main problem though, is that we lack the bite up top. Get a goal back early in the half and get in Arsenal's faces and it might be a different story. Take off Stephens and go 4-4-2 perhaps, with a striker up top? What have we got to lose when two down?
Heisenberg Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Just chucked a few quid on Liverpool. Feels like one of those days / seasons
whelk Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Ralph needs to be asked the question about why the fck he has confidence in Stephens who makes mistakes in every game he plays. Used to be levelled against Yoshida that he was error prone. Nothing in comparison to this fella.
OttawaSaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Austin and Obafemi on for Armstrong and Stephens.
CWD Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 I thought we looked pretty good going forward for the first 20 minutes but the usual incompetence in defence meant they had two chances and found themselves 2 up. Since then it’s been pipe and slippers for Arsenal. Big half time talk needed and if we can grab the next goal we might have a chance.
BotleySaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Austin and Obafemi onSeriously? And Stephens survives?
SaltashSaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Someone said we look dazed and confused - and we do. The poor defending is obvious; but the midfield has been totally overrun - is Ward-Prowse playing in mid-field? And we look to have only Armstrong and Redmond as attacking players - feeble and embarrassing so far. This was always going to happen with the formation we are playing. Five at the back works if you have full backs who can bomb up and down at will, providing support in both midfield and attack. However, you also need a striker who can hold the ball up, and an attacking midfielder or two to make up a minimum of five attacking players. That allows the three defenders and two holding midfielders to defend. What we end up with is eight players at the back, all getting in each other's way, trying to defend zonally, without a clue of who to mark. Too many cooks and all that.
striker Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Stephens is off for Austin. Probably a back 4 then?
Saints foreva Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Hopefully that's the last we see of Jack Stephens.
BotleySaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Stephens is off for Austin. Probably a back 4 then?Ah glad Ralph seen sense on Stephens!
Katalinic Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Stephens is off for Austin. Probably a back 4 then? An excuse for a back 4 anyway.
Baird of the land Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Austin and Obafemi on for Armstrong and Stephens. Bringing on 2 strikers at ht. Be interested to see how self critical Ralph is post game
Tamesaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 There were times during the half that we put some real pressure on Arsenal's defence and then typically one of their players went down injured and the momentum went and we didn't get it back. Micky Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Anyone annoyed by all this is a Troll. #apparently #logicWhy do you never post so fervently or frequently when we win? Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
striker Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Looking better now.. Still want Bertrand out there tough
BotleySaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 We do look more assured in this formation during this first spell.
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Today is a must win game. Why have we not got a striker in the starting 11?
John Boy Saint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Anyone got a working stream? ripple.is seems to be working thus far
Heisenberg Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Why do you never post so fervently or frequently when we win? Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk Go check. I do. HTH
SaltashSaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 We do look more assured in this formation during this first spell. Any manager with an ounce of football intelligence should recognise this. Let's hope we stick with it on Wednesday night.
John Boy Saint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Ah inspector Taggart is playing for us again
BotleySaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Arsenal woken up now. Normal service resumes! Obafemi injured and struggling.
OttawaSaint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Looks like Obis hamstring has gone again. ****!
Edmonton Saint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Obafemi is going to be another injury liability. He will fit right in with our strikers.
John Boy Saint Posted 24 February, 2019 Posted 24 February, 2019 Bugger Obafemi broken again, what a shame
