Daft Kerplunk Posted 2 February, 2019 Posted 2 February, 2019 One for the stattos but what’s the English top-flight record for points lost from winning positions? I wonder if we are close to it.
Saints foreva Posted 2 February, 2019 Posted 2 February, 2019 I make that 17 points dropped from winning positions. I wonder how many we've gained from losing positions, 1 maybe against Palace? Shocking team.
Greenridge Posted 2 February, 2019 Posted 2 February, 2019 We can put that with our net spend trophies. Going to need a new cabinet at this rate.
Baird of the land Posted 2 February, 2019 Posted 2 February, 2019 Hopefully pre season fitness work next season will help us not lose energy late on.
Simon3737 Posted 2 February, 2019 Posted 2 February, 2019 Hopefully pre season fitness work next season will help us not lose energy late on. I think it’s definitely a fitness thing. I believe Ralph will keep us up, but I do worry that our players will be exhausted from the high intensity style by the last month of the season and our results will suffer - just like Pochettino’s first half season. I’m sure Ralph will get them back to Keoman standards of fitness after a pre-season.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 3 February, 2019 Posted 3 February, 2019 Its not just fitness we seem to sit back as soon as we score and invite pressure we kick long balls rather than play out with no outlet pases start to go astray and panic sets in We need the discipline to keep playing like it is 0-0 and finding players rather than kicks into touch. We should not be under this sort of pressure from the likes of Derby Brighton Burnley etc
Saint IQ Posted 3 February, 2019 Posted 3 February, 2019 I make that 17 points dropped from winning positions. I wonder how many we've gained from losing positions, 1 maybe against Palace? Shocking team. Yes it was 15 before yesterday. 5 with Ralph 12 with Hughes.
supersonic Posted 3 February, 2019 Posted 3 February, 2019 Let's not also forget the 2 goal leads we let slip against Derby in the FA Cup...
