Lighthouse Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 None went our way today so we are still stuck in 12th. Need to beat Wolves on Saturday and keep plugging away. I'll take a few more weeks of Burnley and Norwich losing before I start getting too bullish about Europe. Form is temporary. It was temporary when we lost 5 out of 6 home games and it is now we're beating 3 out of the top 5 teams. If we beat Wolves and get above 30 points in January, I'll believe we're pretty much safe.

Matthew Le God Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 I'll take a few more weeks of Burnley and Norwich losing before I start getting too bullish about Europe. Norwich? 22 games played, 16 games left... Saints have 28 points, Norwich 14 points! They will struggle to get to our current points total, let alone surpass it!
whelk Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 Robertson should get a red for that. Tyler and Carragher “nothing for VAR to worry about”
davefoggy Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 Robertson should get a red for that. Tyler and Carragher “nothing for VAR to worry about” Looked a certain red to me, given the other decisions this season. Yet again Liverpool get all the luck
Heisenberg Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 Did VAR also ignore the handball in the build up to LiVARpools goal? I'm sure they gave it a quick cursory look
IOWSaintDaz Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 i wouldn't bet against us going up to Anfield and spoiling their season with a win undoubtely they have won the league this season but wouldn't it be great if we were the team,to smash the myth that they are invincible like Arsenal were back in the day, the with the way we are playing currently you can see us getting a result and also Ings has something to prove against them too and he can play the game this season too as he's not on loan
Lighthouse Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 Norwich? 22 games played, 16 games left... Saints have 28 points, Norwich 14 points! They will struggle to get to our current points total, let alone surpass it! I'll be honest, I hadn't even noticed they had so few points. Was thinking they were on about 18/19 but yeah, they're gone with 14. A draw in tomorrow's early game and City giving Villa an absolute rogering would round the weekend off nicely.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 Did VAR also ignore the handball in the build up to LiVARpools goal? I'm sure they gave it a quick cursory look It hit Alli's hand so no need
DuncanRG Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Best away day I've been to in years, maybe one of the best ever. It's incredible to concede and feel confident we'll get back into it. Quick shout-out to the Leicester fans who didn't sing once for about 10 minutes at the end of the first half. Lovely to shut them up.
Give it to Ron Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Watford at Bournemouth the home natives restless when passing about at back want them to lump forward which bigger team love it . Watford 1 up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
adrian lord Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Like to see Bournemouth go down, not keen on their attitude as a club. Them and West Ham too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shroppie Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 How low had we sunk that we actually lost to Bournemouth? Compared with our performance yesterday the gulf is enormous. As much as the 0-9, the home loss to this dross needs rectifying. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI like the way they have coped so far with PL, no stupid spending. I also like Eddie Howe. But a contingent of their fan base irritates me immensely: ideas well above the reality of their situation. I think this will be a season too far for them and they'll go down. Then lose Howe and vanish without trace. Also would love to see West Ham go down to see their entitlement fans and worshipers in the media have a meltdown. And to get that awful stadium off the rota. Sadly I think Norwich are getting close to nailed-on for one place. A pity. It's a good weekend away. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk Edited 12 January, 2020 by Shroppie
Badger Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Think we want a draw there from our perspective. Don't really want Watford staying up.
igsey Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Callum Wilson surely needs to find a move soon, weren't Chelsea supposed to be interested? In a few months he's gone from England's #2 to fighting a relegation battle.
stknowle Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Bournemouth look almost as bad as pre-revival us.

Norwich a decent modest outfit with no arrogant pretensions, they’ll go down, but they are a yoyo club par excellence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shroppie Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Bournemouth look almost as bad as pre-revival us.Was just thinking that. Once they're behind, they don't look to have any confidence that they can get back into it. Just like we were three months ago. Shows how much we've advanced: yesterday, playing away, we were behind to a top team who thrashed us recently, but fought back convincingly. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
markr27 Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 0-2 Watford now.... Bournemouth and Howe continue to sleepwalk into a relegation battle.
Lighthouse Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 (edited) Wow, what defending there. Bompey are really in trouble at the moment. Edited 12 January, 2020 by Lighthouse
igsey Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 0-2 to Watford, unthinkable a few months ago. Bournemouth are awful and nailed on to go down unless they shake things up soon.
RedWillie Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 But, but..I thought they ruled the south coast !!
Give it to Ron Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 7 defenders stood and watched Deeney they look like us earlier in season. Massive gaps between the lines attack to midfield and defence so open on counter attacks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
markr27 Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 The tater has just said only two home wins all season for Bournemouth.... and we thought we had problems!
bender Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Can't wait to play them on the penultimate game. Send the gobsh1tes down.
Lighthouse Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 The tater has just said only two home wins all season for Bournemouth.... and we thought we had problems! TBF we’ve only got three.
markr27 Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 TBF we’ve only got three. Yea, but I didn't think they'd be as poor let alone worse!
IOWSaintDaz Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Looks like it could be Bompey's time to go down this season, to be fair they have punched above their weight since they came up in 2015, with the capacity of there ground shy of 12,000 they must be worried given the wage bill they must have
Micky Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Bournemouth look awful all over the park, have they had a shot this game..? Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk

GarrettIvo Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Bompey barely fired a shot, metaphorically and literally. They could be in serious trouble. Can definitely see Norwich taking them next week too.
Micky Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 God they're bad... Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
The Cat Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 They have Norwich, Brighton, Villa and Burnley in 4 of their next 5 league games. If they don't get much from that they'll be down before we play them.
saint77 Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Female summarizer is doing my head in! No disrespect to the female race but all the female summarisers are awful I have to turn the sound down

Maggie May Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 One of the worst teams in the league by far. Eddie’s on a knife edge. Still true.
beatlesaint Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 But, but..I thought they ruled the south coast !! They don’t even rule Dorset at the moment to be fair

beatlesaint Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Do they still have players to come back from injury? Think they had something like nine out? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk they listed their current injuries and only two, maybe three, are starting eleven regulars.
kyle04 Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Their injuries have hit them hard. We've been fortunate in that respect, if we had half a dozen of the current 1st team out we would struggle if the Huddersfield game was anything to go by. But one shot on target all game at home does not bode well for them, and a resurgent Watford would not be the opposition you'd chose at the moment if I were them. Still they're only 3 points away from "safety" so not down yet.
SuperSAINT Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Didn’t realise Villa had Drinkwater? Only just signed him on loan.
whelk Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 City looking like going to absolutely hammer Villa.
OttawaSaint Posted 12 January, 2020 Posted 12 January, 2020 Didn’t realise Villa had Drinkwater? They’ll wish they hadn’t now. Dawdling on the ball and City are 2-0. Terrible defending all round, Aguero had 3 on him and still came out with the ball.
