cloggy saint Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Poor so far "Saints look very bright, moving the ball around nicely in midfield with Liverpool loanee Danny Ings looking a menace up top".
Cabbage_Face Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Lookman having a field day, shame we've missed that boat.
saintwbu Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Lookman having a field day, shame we've missed that boat. I’m not sure he’s touched the ball until that shot has he?
Edmonton Saint Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 We are playing quite well i think, plenty of intensity and zip about us. Good to have Hojbjerg and Ings back.
Cabbage_Face Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Ings is brilliant, why people give him stick is beyond me
skintsaint Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Ings is brilliant, why people give him stick is beyond me Think people only frustrated by his injury proneness..nothing to do with ability.
verlaine1979 Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Not doing badly, but it's noticeable that we don't have the technique or composure to keep possession and pressure around their box. If we don't create a chance from the first spring forward, then nothing happens. Everton haven't been great, but they've shown more ability to keep the ball in areas around our area, and have fashioned a couple of shooting chances on the edge of the box.
Cabbage_Face Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Think people only frustrated by his injury proneness..nothing to do with ability. Not sure that's his fault, really.
Cabbage_Face Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Hoj really is excellent. So so close. Redmond once again brilliant.
skintsaint Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Hoj is an excellent player Starting to show why Bayern had hopes for him.
Dark Munster Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Shame Targett going off. He was playing really well, some nice balls into the box. On comes Cedric. That's the end of good balls into the box.
St Marco Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 jwp getting a bit of stick there for passing backwards twice.
Cabbage_Face Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 We ain't gonna win this. We never get the luck,
Lighthouse Posted 19 January, 2019 Author Posted 19 January, 2019 We ain't gonna win this. We never get the luck, I’d say we were pretty lucky to even get that chance, with the rebound in the build up and then the tackle. Ings never looked like scoring it alone.
Useful Idiot Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 How was that challenge on Ings not a penalty? Gomes stands on his foot then his trailing leg knocks the ball after he makes contact.
skintsaint Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 If that was down the other end it would have nestled in the net..
adrian lord Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Sloppy losses of possession are going to cost us
Saints foreva Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Sloppy losses of possession are going to cost us Yep, we look like we have a big mistake in us. Ings looks to be limping.
Plastic Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 Saints by far the better side, very unlucky not to have scored at least once.
verlaine1979 Posted 19 January, 2019 Posted 19 January, 2019 JWP needs to learn how to play on the turn. He'll hit it backwards to a player he can see even if there's open space for him to turn into. It's a profound weakness for a central midfielder to lack awareness of the space around him. In other news, Bednarek continues to improve, doesn't he?
