jawillwill Posted 5 January, 2019 Posted 5 January, 2019 I have a light bulb like this: https://www.osram.com/ds/ecat/OSRAM%20DULUX%20D/com/en/GPS01_1027840/PP_EUROPE_Europe_eCat/ZMP_59030/ But can't for the life of me figure out how to remove it without feeling like I'm about to break the glass. What am I doing wrong? Would it be a pull? A twist? A bit of both? Is it possible for this type of bulb to become jammed? I know, I'm a thicko.
badgerx16 Posted 5 January, 2019 Posted 5 January, 2019 Should be a push fit, so hold by the base and gently ease it out. Avoid applying pressure to the glass.
Cabbage_Face Posted 5 January, 2019 Posted 5 January, 2019 Don’t apply pressure to glass, I had a trip up to A&E other month pushing a bulb in by the glass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

scally Posted 5 January, 2019 Posted 5 January, 2019 Use a small flat headed screwdriver between the base of the lamp and lampholder in the light fitting, turn the light off first though.
Cabbage_Face Posted 8 January, 2019 Posted 8 January, 2019 B15 or B22 cap? Bayonet. Mess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
benjii Posted 8 January, 2019 Posted 8 January, 2019 Actually, on a serious note, I have ceiling downlights in my kitchen. They are simple halogen bulbs. However, the bulb fitting is deeply recessed inside the wider light casing. I can't get a replacement in because I can't see what I'm doing to line up the connections or twist the fecker in place. I even got a little tool that sucks onto the bulb that you can use but I can't get that to work either. Should I just be pulling the whole light fitting out of the ceiling?
van Hanegem Posted 12 January, 2019 Posted 12 January, 2019 You’ll need five Belgians. One to hold the bulb and four to turn around the table he’s standing on.
