Nathan finally fulfillng his potential under Ralph?
When he's not stuck on the left hand touchline and instructed to turn/pass back all game he looks good, always has. Get him in the middle or out on the right and get him running at people.

Not comfortable while still only 1 up. Redmond might have done better there.

A few of the passes not quite coming off but the intent is there, players a moving off the ball so well and taking up very dangerous positions. If we get that passing going there will be some exquisite moves and goals.

Prime example of how the TV producers control how the atmosphere sounds there. Halfway through a line of "last christmas" the saints fans voices just disappear. Did every single fan stop singing at exactly the same moment?

We look completely different, Ralphie has mad a hug difference

He can have a hug from me whenever he wants. And I'm not mad

I still maintain that we don't have a particularly great squad of players, so for Hassenhutl to get this team playing like this so early is nothing short of miraculous.

Dare I say world class?

Happy days so far, but as others have said, clean sheet is vital.

Honestly thought we were gone, credit to the players for responding to the manager, so good to have a decent one again.

Great first half - Romeu and Hoj running things in midfield; Yoshida and Vest both commanding - Redmond very lively. Only two disappointments are Armstrong who isn't involved at all and Targett looks shaky at LB. I'd replace Armstrong with Lemina and play him advanced left side. The energy and some of the passing from Saints has been great to watch.

what a goal that is from Townsend

****ing hell what a strike that was.

Back to Saints.

Just goes to show you how **** our previous managers have been. If you try and win you might actually win. Nice to have a manager with some balls who isn't afraid to take chances and make decisions that actually give us chances to win games.

How managers get paid millions for being **** and getting sacked is just crazy.

Fitness and pace are key to Ralphie's style. With the constant pressing and attacking (from all positions), the players need to rotate back on defence very quickly when they lose possession. No more static players, passing back, style.

IMO the 2 wings are the weakest link. When we get Bertrand and Cedric back out there, with their pace, this lineup will really fly. Then Targett and Valery can supply quality depth on the bench (with Lemina/Romeu, Austin, Stephens, etc.).

Must say Romeu having v good game as central pivot; decent pairing with Hoj

I actually like Armstrong out there, but I agree on Targett. I can't wait to see Bertrand and Cedric out there

so much for the few that suggested that a new manager (even pep) would not make a difference!

I am pleasantly surprised that he's had the impact that he's had. Saying that, it couldn't get much worse really.

Valery has been superb again, difficult to see how Cedric walks back in

He doesn’t walk back in. Not with this manager, he’s going to need to work his tail off. Great isn’t it?
