Lighthouse Posted 21 December, 2018 Posted 21 December, 2018 The lads that played last saturday against Arsenal deserve to start after a result and performance like that. Also its forces those three, especially the two full backs who have been coasting due to lack of competition for a while now, to work harder and up their game in training to get back in the team. Just letting them waltz back into the starting 11 sends out the wrong signal. Nobody deserves to start, it's the team most likely to win, which IMO includes certainly Bertrand and Lemina, probably Cedric too. I see no reason why those three (when Bertrand is fit again) wouldn't try as hard as the others.
Charlie Wayman Posted 21 December, 2018 Posted 21 December, 2018 Nice to see after 6 years or so we have progressed from the bus to the train. Seats are a lot more expensive 'though. I guess you could say in summary that the bus has left the building and has arrived at the station? With the train leaving soon Ralph, where is the destination?

Guan 2.0 Posted 21 December, 2018 Posted 21 December, 2018 3-1 to saints I'm actually looking forward to watching saints on a Saturday afternoon. Bloody Hell. It's Been a long two years! (♪, ♩) I want to be, in that number.. (♪, ♩) 2-0 saints.
waylander Posted 21 December, 2018 Posted 21 December, 2018 I'm actually looking forward to watching saints on a Saturday afternoon. Bloody Hell. It's Been a long two years! Me too. There's a level of expectation that's built pretty quickly, hope it isn't disappointed.
sfc4prem Posted 21 December, 2018 Posted 21 December, 2018 Me too. There's a level of expectation that's built pretty quickly, hope it isn't disappointed. The expectation never really went away, it was replaced with an expectation of disappointment!
striker Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 I expect some changes since we have 2 matches in 6 days. Players like Cedric, Lemina, and Austin may start vs West Ham.

Saint_Tony Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Actually feeling positive about today and can see us getting the three points. Ralph Rabbithutch has already brought a great air of positivity to the club. 2-1 Saints. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
Yorkshire Saint Posted 22 December, 2018 Author Posted 22 December, 2018 Safe journey to those travelling today. Pig of a day to have to do this trip.
benjii Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Big match. Win and we can start looking up the table. Lose and you'd think we'll be in the relegation battle come end of January.
Dr. Kucho Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 I’ve been looking forward all week to this game after our epic win against Arsenal. But have just heard we have to go Christmas shopping this afternoon and will miss the match. Anyone know a good trick how to avoid going in town so I can stay home and watch the match?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Under normal circumstances this would be a Saints banana skin. Think we might grab this one...1-2.

Saint Garrett Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 On train to Huddersfield now. Any news on team? Redmond mainly? COYS!
Saint Garrett Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 I’m a big fan of Lemina. Just not sure that a midfield of Hojbjerg and Lemina offers enough protection, for me Romeu starts most weeks as we’re less likely to concede, even if Lemina is our “best” player it’s a difficult one for sure. Nice to now have options and players fighting for their places again.
Micky Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Me and the boy are going for a 2 nil away win. Right, we're off should there in a couple of hours. COYR. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Spitz Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Not quite staying at home and watching, but phone in coat pocket with earphones in and listening to radio solent Yep, works a treat, highly recommended for those times when there are those jobs that just have to be done....

spyinthesky Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Going to be a completely different game today as compared to Arsenal Expect Huddersfield to be similar to Cardiff and we will need to defend a lot of high balls Two relatively poor sides exerting a lot of huff and puff. Hope our exertions (and skill) are better than theirs. Must avoid another bottom feeding defeat today!!
mrfahaji Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 I'd say this will be down as a 'must win' game - for them. After Cardiff it looked like one for us too, but the Arsenal result means that the important thing is not to lose this one. That being said, if you're going to pick up 3 points away from home then this is certainly one of the better places to do it, so fingers crossed.
nta786 Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Unchanged. so a 3 at the back again then? yeah fair enough if true if it isn't broken don't change it or something along those lines...
nta786 Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 (edited) so same team it is... no Hoedt on bench- interesting- who is Ramsay? Lemina on bench too- could any inferences be made from that? probably not- best to keep a winning side also what does this mean for Elyounoussi- most had expectations for him but not in squad either. and finally no Gabbiadini- our squad really is massive and bloated. GarrettIvo Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Who is Ramsay? Under 18s RB???? Interesting.
simo Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Who is Ramsay? Right back I think , Came from Chelsea
Toadhall Saint Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 so same team it is... no Hoedt on bench- interesting- who is Ramsay? JoeShmoe Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Hoedt, JWP and Elyonoussi and prob gabbi will be out in Jan and good riddance Great to see Obafemi and Ramsay on bench
Bad Wolf Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Lemina on the bench is comforting. There aren't that many situations where I wouldn't bring him on with 20 minutes to go and change things.
mrfahaji Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Given that K Billy says Gabbi is likely going in January and he's not in the squad, perhaps we can infer the same about Hoedt and perhaps Elyounoussi. JWP might just not have made the cut - if you have Lemina on the bench why would you also have JWP? Cedric is interesting but could still be recovering from injury. Lemina's presence on the bench makes me think he is part of the plans but Hasenhuttl doesn't want to disrupt the side that beat Arsenal.
Dusic Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Cedric is OOC in just over a year so need to cash in soon... JWP doesnt suit pressing and Hoedt is just crap. Smart gaffer.
Baird of the land Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Interesting bench. Wonder if hoedt is on his way out. Very aggressive with 3 strikers.
GarrettIvo Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Interesting bench. Wonder if hoedt is on his way out. One can hope. You could ALMOST forgive him for being useless, except he so obviously seems to be an absolute **** as well. Oh well.
egg Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Kayne Ramsey makes the bench Decent prospect. I wonder if the policy is to give one bench spot to a different youngster on a game by game basis. Great motivation if so.
beatlesaint Posted 22 December, 2018 Posted 22 December, 2018 Interesting bench. Wonder if hoedt is on his way out. Very aggressive with 3 strikers. Goes with what Don Hutchinson said on Radio 5 Live - RH will pick as many attacking players as he can.
