Cabbage_Face Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 I'd take a draw, plenty of more games this season for us to get rolling.
Saint_clark Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 What the hell is up with valery, he looks like he's stoned or something. Sent from my SM-J600FN using Tapatalk
Chez Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Redmond non existent. Not sure the formation is helping him personally.
BotleySaint Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Not impressed with us so far.About the same. Cardiff look faster and stronger. We are more error prone than usual it we've got a lot out there who haven't played much this season.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 And yet they look much better than us... They dont, both are terrrible, lost of work for Ralph in the coming days/weeks/months
Saints foreva Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Awful, awful performance in a must win match.
Cabbage_Face Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Is anyone actually suprised by this performance? One training session will not change us.
doddisalegend Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 So Ralph is going to ship out players not up to it in Jan? We are going to be left with Lemina, McCarthy and Gunn in Jan then...
OttawaSaint Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Targett and Vestegaard have been absolutely horrendous.
doddisalegend Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 They dont, both are terrrible, lost of work for Ralph in the coming days/weeks/months Cardiff could be 3 up with better finishing...
Cabbage_Face Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 I called it about Vestegaard. Still waiting for those infractions to be removed.
SaintZamboni Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Is anyone actually suprised by this performance? One training session will not change us. This. We’re not awful and at least there’s a glimmer of purpose and intent to play high and press.
trousers Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Cardiff could be 3 up with better finishing...We'd be mid table with better finishing...
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Is anyone actually suprised by this performance? One training session will not change us. Not at all, people just commenting on how they see it
Cabbage_Face Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 This. We’re not awful and at least there’s a glimmer of purpose and intent to play high and press. This. Under Hughes we would be 2 up after 10 mins and losing 4 v 2 by now.
doddisalegend Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Targett and Vestegaard have been absolutely horrendous. Our entire defence is horrendous no matter who we play they just play badly. Good save McCarthy.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 I called it about Vestegaard. Still waiting for those infractions to be removed. Well done you
Shance Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Target and Vestergaard have both been absolutely shocking.
Cabbage_Face Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Job done for me. Under Hughes we'd be 3 down. Just get to the final whistle without conceding and confidence will grow.
Chez Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Is anyone actually suprised by this performance? One training session will not change us. didn't expect to see any improvement. We pressed a little bit at the start, which was good, but the longer the half has gone the worse we have looked. The formation has not helped some players
MongoNeil Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 We'll have the wind behind us in the 2nd half. Don't underestimate how much of an effect the wind is having on passing etc.
Cabbage_Face Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Fair play Chaz having a word with Valery.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Amazing how much confidence Mark Hughes has evaporated from these players.
Manuel Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 People may criticise Cedric but he's better than Valery.
striker Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 I actually think we look much better moving forward. Lots of "purpose" and guys like Austin, Redmond, Hoj, and Armstrong making good runs. Once the ball crosses midfield things change though, its like we are hanging on by a thread in the back (or Cardiff just stinks).
SaltashSaint Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Don't underestimate the impact the wind is having on this game. With it behind us in the second half, I am quietly confident about coming away with a win. A few shots at goal may help though!
DT Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 I’d take a draw. We’ll see how good raha is with changing things at ht Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cabbage_Face Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 People may criticise Cedric but he's better than Valery. Valery is what he is, a youth player. This is a huge step up.
Supersubpuckett Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 austin having a word with valery as they walk off at HT let's hope ralph calms them down a bit for the second half, good intent but needs to be more controlled
skintsaint Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Pretty average half and lucky not to be behind. Hopefully some half time tinkering will improve things.
bpsaint Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Fair play Chaz having a word with Valery. Good to see that from Chaz there, he might be a bit of a ****, but he’s our ****, and his experience is good to have in the squad.
SaintAndy14 Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Think we need to get Stephens on at RB for Valery at HT - he's a foul away from a second yellow.
Chez Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 People may criticise Cedric but he's better than Valery. he's had a poor half. Looks half asleep.
austsaint Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 We'll have the wind behind us in the 2nd half. Don't underestimate how much of an effect the wind is having on passing etc. Must be making it difficult - Cardiff have shown pace and threat on both flanks though. Haven't seen much from Armstrong or Redmond yet - Romeu, Lemina and Hojbjerg all looking ok.
Dark Munster Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 I can't find words to describe how awful Vestergaard has been. Defensively Targett has been terrible too, but at least he's put in some good balls at the other end.
badgerx16 Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Fair play Chaz having a word with Valery. The risk with 4-2-2-2 is that the FBs are exposed, and it looks like Warnock is pressuring us wide on both sides.
Shanghai Saint Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Awful, awful performance in a must win match. Must win - Ha Ha - with more than 20 games to go in the season ... ??
Pamplemousse Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Targett is giving me Danny Fox vibes here
Useful Idiot Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 We look pretty poor to be honest. Not the manager's fault, just below average play when we have the ball and fragile defensively without it. Our back four all look like they have problems defensively and McCarthy keeping is us in this at the moment.
badgerx16 Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 People may criticise Cedric but he's better than Valery. Perhaps, but he wasn't available for this game.
saintsmike25 Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 Valery looks decent going forward, but a little to eager to make challenges and indecisive when a man runs at him. Targett/Jan both are clumsy on the ball. Targett needs to cross earlier. Lemina and Holjberg are our best players and doing some good work, along with Romeu. Redmond is a bit anoynmous, Austin has made some good runs but clearly off the pace, but may nick a goal as he is losing his marker. Second half i'd like to see Gabbi on for Austin, Stephens/Cedric on for Valery who looks like he will make another clumsy challenge and get sent off. Vestergard, has had some scary moments, he tends to lose his position quite easily and is being bullied by Paterson. Our central midfield is superior, but they are better in wide areas and generally going forward, we're guilty of overplaying when in good positions and then being countered. I'd take a draw as we're a bit off the pace compared to the Man Utd performance.
Sheaf Saint Posted 8 December, 2018 Posted 8 December, 2018 I'm at a loss to know what Stephens did to deserve to be dropped. He was our best defender for the last two games. This back four, against a better side than Cardiff, would have let in 3 or 4 by now. Vestergaard has been atrocious, Targett has made a handful of howlers and gifted them chances, and Valery will be very lucky not to get a second yellow the way he's going. Going forward, we don't seem to have any plan or shape when attacking. Not getting in behind at all, and our best chance fell to Lemina who really had to do better with the time and space he had. Ralph really has got his work cut out to get this lot playing like a team.
