Heisenberg Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Ted Bates statue has more movement than this team
DT Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Shock, a relegated threatened side playing a top 4 side is getting a spanking. [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What, 1-0? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
doddisalegend Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Spurs aren't even having to try we are making it very easy for them.
Jonnyboy Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Gabbiadini might as well not be on the pitch. Long would do a much better job isolated up top like this. Sent from my SM-J600FN using Tapatalk There's no point in Long, if a chance falls to him he completely fluffs it so why bother.
Heisenberg Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Armstrong..... both offside but dreadful finishing
5string Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Oh Armstrong! Ah, would've been offside anyway. What an effort from Hoj, though! Was that a save onto the post?
Sheaf Saint Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 That's unlucky. Brilliant effort from PEH. deserved better but looks like Lloris got the faintest of touches to it.
Heisenberg Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Fulham beating leicester. We are now bottom
Saint_clark Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 There's no point in Long, if a chance falls to him he completely fluffs it so why bother.Because he can hold it up and bring in other players who can score. What's the point in getting nowhere near the goal with the striker we have anyway? Sent from my SM-J600FN using Tapatalk
Sheaf Saint Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 And that was a lovely through-ball from JWP to Gabbi. We're not looking too bad on the attack - just a shame our comedy defending has gifted them a goal advantage already.
5string Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Gabbi through with a half-chance and he... tries to back heel it??
Cabbage_Face Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Bottom, what a rise this will be. [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jonnyboy Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 One things for sure, the new manager is going to have to bring in a few of his own signings in January or we are screwed. Long or no Long.
Sheaf Saint Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Why do we insist on leaving their forwards so much space in our box? It seems none of our defenders are familiar with the concept of getting tight to their opponents. It's such a basic thing, I find it astounding that none of them do it.
Saint_clark Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 We should look for a new number 1 in the summer if we stay up, whether that's Gunn or a new signing. McCarthy is poor if we're being honest. Sent from my SM-J600FN using Tapatalk
BotleySaint Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Our general play has been quite neat and tidy. A few threats on their goal. But defensively we look like conceding with their every attack.
Jonnyboy Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 JWP and Targett seem to be in charge of marking Kane, Dier and Toby at the corner?
Colinjb Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Wonder if Ralph fancies heading down for a half time chat.
Cabbage_Face Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Zonal marking really is the worst thing ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dr. Kucho Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 I think the holiday camp training days are over for the players, round the clock sessions to learn the basics and new playing system awaits for them.
Sheaf Saint Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Zonal marking really is the worst thing ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I find it astonishing that anybody still employs it at this level - or at any level in fact. It doesn't work and it's guaranteed to give away chances. Absolute madness that anybody would even consider using it.
Micky Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Zonal marking really is the worst thing ever. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYep, that good old coaching phrase 'space doesn't score goals' comes to mind. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
Saint_clark Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Great play by gabbi to hold it up, turn and lay it back to a spurs player instead of just passing it wide to Redmond in acres of space right in front of him. Sent from my SM-J600FN using Tapatalk

Victor Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Our general play has been quite neat and tidy. A few threats on their goal. But defensively we look like conceding with their every attack. I don't think 'quiet' is a particularly good characteristic for a footballer.

Saints foreva Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Feels like a early round league cup game.
Shroppie Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 HT 0-1. Could be worse. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Sheaf Saint Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Mark Hughes stands by it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Enough said.
Cabbage_Face Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Not a bad half, considering. Our attacking play is always half decent, just our defenders are utter clowns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5string Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Watching Rose, I can see why he's currently preferred over Bertrand for England - energetic, pushy. Bertie is a bit lethargic and lackadaisical. Hopefully Ralph can get some energy & desire back into him cos he's a really good player when he's up for it.
Baird of the land Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Not a bad performance against a very good team so far. Atrocious by yoshida for their goal. Midfield set up has generally worked. Though Cedric seems to think he is a right winger rather than a right back at times. Gabbi needs to be less wasteful when we do get him the ball.
Crab Lungs Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 HT punditry from Craig Forrest and Danny Dichio. Doesn't get any better than that.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 As it stands we’re bottom of the league. Not a bad performance. Davo tidy, Armstrong & PEH look lively, JWP ineffectual, Redmond & Gabbi wasteful. You can see why Yoshida has been left out early in season, for an experienced international, he’s been woeful lately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sheaf Saint Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 HT 0-1. Could be worse. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk Yep. It's not as though they are ripping us apart, but our marking is pretty dreadful. Nobody was watching Kane - you can't let a player like that just waltz into your 6-yard box like that and expect to get away with it. It's just basic stuff that can hopefully be coached out of them by RaHa. On the occasions we have attacked we haven't looked too bad. PEH's shot deserved better and not many keepers would have got the touch that Lloris did. Our overall play is far from awful, and certainly not worthy of being bottom of the league. It's our defensive naivety that costs us time and again.
Batman Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Could do with some world class coaching from Claude at Fulham
Shroppie Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Liverpool have no Salah, Firmino or Man.Burnley beating liverpool now too Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
The Saint Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 To be honest, I don't think we're doing too bad. We're playing one of the best teams in the PL and keeping the score reasonable. Battling away in midfield and flashes of confidence from the strikers. Only a brilliant save by their keeper stopped us scoring. It's not all doom and gloom but can't get away from the comical defending. Anything better than 3-0 and I'll be happy...
Badger Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Burnley beating liverpool now too F^ck it. Jack Cork as well. Come on Klopp, do us and your mate Ralph a favour.
Cabbage_Face Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 I fear that what has been done cannot be reversed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bad Wolf Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 I fear that what has been done cannot be reversed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk They're very unlikely to it disallowed now tbf.
Jonnyboy Posted 5 December, 2018 Posted 5 December, 2018 Burnley beating liverpool now too When I saw the 0-0 at half time I thought Burnley might finally wake up for the season and get a shock result. Hope not.
