skintsaint Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 “If Southampton fans are still watching, we commend you”... Sigh. First half about to start. Ahh another two halves to sit through....couldnt take it.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Players lazy?!? Rubbish! There are 5-6 players that just do not have Prem quality - it's not them being lazy - they're just not good enough. Hughes can't do much more - he picks from a squad that has been drained of quality and it's not just quality on match day - it's the quality in training listening and retaining the knowledge that the coaching team are trying to get across. What has Redmond contributed? What has Long contributed? What has JWP contributed? Ings is not exactly top quality, but at least he's got a footballing brain and knows how get into scoring positions. I didn't expect us to beat City - I even expected a thrashing - so it's not about this game. It's about the last THREE seasons of decline where we've sacked two managers and the recruitment of players has been shambolic. The blame should lie entirely at the feet of the Board. I would emphasise Les Reed, but I'm not sure he's still holding the reigns now.
John Boy Saint Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 My day has been cheered up by the advert on NBC Girl sat in the passenger seat of a car with a touch of HayFever - sneezes and blows the whipped cream topping off the top of her coffee - very funny.
BotleySaint Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Goal difference stands at -11 currently. I hope we can keep it at least below Cardiff's -15.
beatlesaint Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 JWP still stealing a living yeah but don’t forget his delivery from dead ball situations is second to none
Heisenberg Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 This is like Fifa on the Xbox. One team with 88 rating and rare player cards vs a full bronze mixed team 58 rated.
Cabbage_Face Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Leave JWP alone, he made one more key pass than Redmond. #priceless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saint Albert Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Decent chance for JWP and Ings. Good buildup.
Supersubpuckett Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 we have become the saints of the 90s - except they had a bit of character and identity

Lose all you want to City, but you only have to look at the decline in performance from Ings to see how horrendous our training is. His own dad is quoted as saying it's "like a holiday camp compared to Liverpool". Hughes needs to go, Reed, Kruegar and ****ing Gao aren't going anywhere so we'd might aswell forget about that.
BotleySaint Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Plucky second half performance followed by 3 more City goals saves Hughes' job.
LGTL Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 we have become the saints of the 90s - except they had a bit of character and identity and Matt Le Tissier.
saints-cris Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 People will say it’s not games like this that’ll define our season. Well, I’d argue that home games against the likes of Brighton, Burnley, Leicester and Newcastle probably will, and we haven’t won any of those either. We are a shambles.
Heisenberg Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I'm sure our "Henry" has really impressed Pep again. Why not get Moi on? He destroyed city last year
Saint Albert Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Decent attacking by Saints again leads to a corner... Bertrand takes it but it is poor and Emerson takes it easily.
DuncanRG Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Lose all you want to City, but you only have to look at the decline in performance from Ings to see how horrendous our training is. His own dad is quoted as saying it's "like a holiday camp compared to Liverpool". Where's this from?
dobbo Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Reading these comments I think some enjoy it more when we lose. Man City rip most teams apart why are we any different? Management ie Les etc not helped but when your team is dismantled of your best players to sit on Top 6 bench’s it’s hardly surprising.
Pamplemousse Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I wouldn't trust your judgement on who should be Manager, you've been one of Hughes's biggest defenders when it's been clear for a long time that he is a ****ing awful manager. Incorrect. I just don't think he's the main problem and am able to take a more balanced and reasoned outlook on the situation, you should try it.
kyle04 Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Makes you wonder what our players do all week, certainly not practicing football thats for f***ing sure... Get off the golf course and your PS4's and do your vastly overpaid job. The travelling fans probably shelled out a nearly weeks wages , factoring on the ale and pies, to watch this. Hughes will get away with this because it's Citeh and Cedric might have been fouled for the 4th. MC will coast the 2nd half , Ederson will do a crossword or two, JWP will get sent off after 70 mins...
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Incorrect. I just don't think he's the main problem and am able to take a more balanced and reasoned outlook on the situation, you should try it. How's that going for you? Not very well by the look of things.
Saint Albert Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Ings’ header from a JWP near post corner forces a good save.
SuperSAINT Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Imo Sack Hughes. he is fk clueless and done..Daniel Farke worth a look. Wont ever be BFS so forget that. Would most likley be foreign again. I'm desperate. I'd appoint Big Sam.
Saint Albert Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I'm desperate. I'd appoint Big Sam. Allardyce is at least better than Hughes.
S-Clarke Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I'm desperate. I'd appoint Big Sam. First thing I'd do is ditch the majority of this team. Absolutley hate this group. Ugly team which offers nothing other than struggle and it won't ever change. A tactically inept, physically weak and mentally challenged bunch of individuals.
Saint86 Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Playing higher up and using JWP and redmond more. Better. but far far far too late. Irony being JWP is our best player this half
Badger Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Ings’ header from a JWP near post corner forces a good save. Comeback's getting closer. Bring on the nuns.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I'm desperate. I'd appoint Big Sam. I'd appoint Sam Fox TBH.
Heisenberg Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Reading these comments I think some enjoy it more when we lose. Man City rip most teams apart why are we any different? Management ie Les etc not helped but when your team is dismantled of your best players to sit on Top 6 bench’s it’s hardly surprising. gallows humour!! No saints fan enjoys this utter BS. I have mates that don't even support Saints. Even they are shocked and depressed (for us) about our decline past 2-3 years
Badger Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Playing higher up and using JWP and redmond more. Better. but far far far too late. Irony being JWP is our best player this half Our most consistent player over the last 12 minutes. Must be worth a massive pay rise and long term contract to keep him at the club, eh Les ?
LGTL Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 First thing I'd do is ditch the majority of this team. Absolutley hate this group. Ugly team which offers nothing other than struggle and it won't ever change. A tactically inept, physically weak and mentally challenged bunch of individuals. Not forgetting there's certain members you'd just absolutely love to punch in the face.
DT Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I'd appoint Sam Fox TBH. Play two up front? Or one in the hole? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heisenberg Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I'd appoint Sam Fox TBH. 2 up front guaranteed
Lighthouse Posted 4 November, 2018 Author Posted 4 November, 2018 Comeback's getting closer. Bring on the nuns. On for who? I’d start with JWP.
Viking Saint Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I'd appoint Sam Fox TBH. Manager and nuns both taken care of in one fell swoop
badgerx16 Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Better. but far far far too late. Perrhaps City are coasting.
hackedoff Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 I'd appoint Sam Fox TBH. They both have their knockers.
OttawaSaint Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 “If Southampton fans are still watching, we commend you”... Sigh. First half about to start. Stupid smug cow. Should have a word with her about who most of these City fans supported when they were league 1.
BotleySaint Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 City are clearly just taking it easy a bit more.
Heisenberg Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 City are clearly just taking it easy a bit more. Thank god
LGTL Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Pep seems like to like us for some weird reason, so wouldn't surprise me at all if he'd told them to not downright embarrass us.
Saint Albert Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Sane makes space for himself and hits the post from just outside the penalty area.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 gallows humour!! No saints fan enjoys this utter BS. I have mates that don't even support Saints. Even they are shocked and depressed (for us) about our decline past 2-3 years Obviously with Glasgow, we don't know if this is true...but I have had this experience. It's not even fun for them to take the **** anymore. It's depressing.
Badger Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Pep seems like to like us for some weird reason, so wouldn't surprise me at all if he'd told them to not downright embarrass us. He's hoping to sign Redmond at a cut price deal in January. Obvious.
Heisenberg Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Pep seems like to like us for some weird reason, so wouldn't surprise me at all if he'd told them to not downright embarrass us. What's not to like? Concede at will, don't do any rough stuff and even apologetic when we score He loves us. I imagine most prem managers do
Maggie May Posted 4 November, 2018 Posted 4 November, 2018 Lose all you want to City, but you only have to look at the decline in performance from Ings to see how horrendous our training is. His own dad is quoted as saying it's "like a holiday camp compared to Liverpool". What do you expect considering who Hughes brought with him as backroom staff?
