Sheaf Saint Posted 31 October, 2018 Posted 31 October, 2018 Bet365 are offering 50/1 on us winning 1-0. The odds on City winning 7-0 are only 40/1.
austsaint Posted 31 October, 2018 Posted 31 October, 2018 I'd be happy if Saints showed the sort of intensity and courage Derby are against Chelsea at the moment.
Jonnyboy Posted 31 October, 2018 Posted 31 October, 2018 This is why I don't understand why the social media team has been bigging up us getting two clean sheets in a row.
scotty Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 So why has this game been moved to Sunday? Spurs are playing their league cup game tonight, why couldn't City? Pep' might be going out for dinner Saturday night, so naturally the PL changed the game to Sunday. He hasn't decided for sure yet, but they changed it just in case.
JRM Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 So why has this game been moved to Sunday? Spurs are playing their league cup game tonight, why couldn't City? It’s ridiculous, after City’s game away to Spurs was moved to the Monday they insisted on having two days gap between games , but they’ll change most of their team anyway. Spurs might have done the same but didn’t want to play Sunday with Champions league game next Tuesday. Hence them playing away to Wolves at 7.45pm Saturday night. It’s the most apathetic I’ve know our fans to be, plenty of regulars not bothering and those who are seriously questioning why. Obviously it will be a comfortable win for Manchester City with Hughes giving his standard interview after the game. Carbon copy of Liverpool away.
DT Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 I'd be happy if Saints showed the sort of intensity and courage Derby are against Chelsea at the moment. Derby would hammer us. Way better.
LaptopSaint Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 Derby would hammer us. Way better. Anyone who went to Pride Park in pre-season knew that already. But seriously - last season, when we were proper sh1t, we came within 20 seconds of getting a point at Man City. I’m going up expecting a draw, he lied.
Pamplemousse Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 We only lost on aggregate to them 3-1 last season, it was 4-1 the previous season (even though we did get a point up there, Redmond scored a goal!) I'm afraid though that it really is a case of how many they will score. I just hope that we make some sort of a game of it, because we simply rolled over against Liverpool and Chelsea.
Greenridge Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 McCarthy Stephens Vesterguard Hoedt Bertrand Cedric Romeu Højbjerg JWP Targett Long There, back 6, 3 holding midfielders, let Long run around and just see if JWP can pick out one of the centre backs. Drop PEH and replace with Gunn (as well as McCarthy).
Mr X Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 Over 900 days now since we last won a league game against the top 6. #shocking #WeDontMarchOnReally nearly three years??? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Micky Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 Derby did hammer us. Way better. Fixed it for you.
Micky Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 Unfortunately can't make this one as I am off to Valley Parade to watch Bradford who are bottom of the league against some lot who are top of the league. It's gonna be a crap, crap weekend.
SNSUN Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 McCarthy Cedric Stephens Hoedt Bertrand Hojbjerg Romeu Lemina Long Ings Redmond is my guess. We're in for a trouncing whatever team we put out, but I'd like to see some goals... Ah sod it, positivity. 3-1 Saints.

SFKA South Woodford Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 Southampton General would be flooded with heartache cases Sunday evening if that result came to pass!
SuperSAINT Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 KdB off injured after hurting his knee tonight.
Pamplemousse Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 On Football Manager, I just played Man City away. We drew 2-2 with them, Shane Long scoring twice, including a goal after 30 seconds.
Pilchards Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 On Football Manager, I just played Man City away. We drew 2-2 with them, Shane Long scoring twice, including a goal after 30 seconds. Long scoring twice?!? I would take it back as it’s faulty.
woodsaint Posted 1 November, 2018 Posted 1 November, 2018 Can see us reverting to the 5-3-2 and attempting to defend for 90 mins. Would rather we went for it and lost by a few than sit in and still lose 2 or 3 nil (with no shots on target)
Shroppie Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 KdB off injured after hurting his knee tonight.Don't wish injury on anyone, but that's a silver lining we definitely need. He makes them click. (Even more than the rest) Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

LGTL Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 To be fair in the current situation they could probably play an entire second string side and still have the better team than our best first 11. Their U23's would beat us. And I'm not even joking.
Saint Billy Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 I wish saints could get goals like they do driving bans.
Pip Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 Not a chance will we score 2. Thing is with Saints they probably will manage to score a goal when it has no chance of getting us any points!
Chickendippers Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 1-0 Saints. Payback for the 100pts robbery on the last day last season
Greenridge Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 KdB off injured after hurting his knee tonight. Thank God they've got no one else to come in and replace him.
nta786 Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 Not sure if i remember correctly, but didnt hughes stoke team lose 7-2 last season at city? So will predict 6-1 City. But our goal will come to make it 2-1, and then as we push for an equaliser, theyll score a counter attack, before scoring 3 more goals at the end of the game

But our goal will come to make it 2-1, and then as we push for an equaliser, theyll score a counter attack, before scoring 3 more goals at the end of the game You forgot to mention the sixth goal will be allowed despite a possible foul on Cedric at the far post and afterwards, Hughes will launch a scathing attack on the officials moaning that the referee cost Saints dear as we were still well in the game at 5-1.
Charlie Wayman Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 Derby would hammer us. Way better. Very doubtful based on their disjointed display against Middlesbro last weekend. You are forgetting just how big the gap is between the worse PL sides and the best the Championship can offer. Very soon promotion to the PL will become pointless.
Shroppie Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 De Bruyne definitely out. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

IOWSaintDaz Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 we'll lose this one "CLEARLY" if you listen to Hughes' press conference, it's his new ave word
The Cat Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 Their U23's would beat us. And I'm not even joking. Our U23's would beat us.

True, Fulham took many teams apart last season. But under Pellegrino we beat them fairly comfortably in the cup.
Bad Wolf Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 2-2. I'm optimistic. They'll score in stoppage time too.
Bad Wolf Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 True, Fulham took many teams apart last season. But under Pellegrino we beat them fairly comfortably in the cup. Comfortably? You sure?
Shroppie Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 Yes. Only 1-0 but easily the better team. Well in control.Comfortably? You sure? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Our current side would struggle to finish top 6 under the current clown.

woodsaint Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 Would take a 9-0 drubbing and Hughes hopefully getting sacked
doddisalegend Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 They missed a few sitters but we'll forget about that yeah? well if that's what passes for the better team we must be one of the best teams in the PL....
saint1977 Posted 3 November, 2018 Posted 3 November, 2018 On Football Manager, I just played Man City away. We drew 2-2 with them, Shane Long scoring twice, including a goal after 30 seconds. MLG - give him a refund ;-) Instant Classic must have been playing the game as well. Micky - some good pubs in Bradford and VP is an interesting stadium and one of the best at that level. Their fans are as peed off at their faceless overseas owners as ours are, and they don’t score many, so it should be a home from home. Hope I’m wrong and it’s a 4-4 thriller for you and have a good day out
Batman Posted 3 November, 2018 Posted 3 November, 2018 will obviously see a comfortable man city win. probably by about 4 goals. They will take it easy after going 2-0 up due to future fixtures
DT Posted 3 November, 2018 Posted 3 November, 2018 Obefemi in Squad Sunday. Is this fact or desire? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saint Albert Posted 3 November, 2018 Posted 3 November, 2018 Pep reckon that Saints have hugely talented players... “Always when I see Southampton, with the players they have, it's a surprise they are in the position they are in. 'It's the quality of the players they have. I'm impressed with the quality they have in front, it's strong, and especially in the middle, with (Oriol) Romeu, (Pierre-Emile) Hojbjerg. They have hugely talented players.' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-6349053/Pep-Guardiola-surprised-Southampton-struggles.html
