Cabbage_Face Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 How are players like Long, Romeu, Hoedt anywhere near our side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SaintZamboni Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Too many misses at key times combined with poor defending and not being sharp on the ball. 15-17th seems inevitable
Pamplemousse Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Do you trust the board to appoint a decent manager if they get rid of Hughes? No. If they appoint Allardyce I’d actively want us to go down.
DT Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Hoedt down injured Silver linings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BotleySaint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Too many misses at key times combined with poor defending and not being sharp on the ball. 15-17th seems inevitableI'd say survival is being optimistic. Our record is worse this year than last so far.
Saints foreva Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 3-0. They've just taken the **** out of us. HUGHES OUT.
DT Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Just watch Lemina in that move. Utterly couldn't give a tosss Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mrfahaji Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Brilliant goal. No doubt Hoedt will get the blame for it though.
Edmonton Saint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 We are a disaster all over. Unfit, unorganised and no leadership or accountability from anyone at the club. Such a shame to see the wreck we have become.
Crab Lungs Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Just watch Lemina in that move. Utterly couldn't give a tosss Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Just said the same thing. #toniclikeleminade #d1ckhead
Cabbage_Face Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Get rid of Lemina now, and any bellend that spends his time on instagram pretending to sing to ****e rap songs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saint86 Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 3-0. They've just taken the **** out of us. HUGHES OUT. Its not Hughes fault ffs. The board must love **** like this, they do a crap job and the fans blame the manager every single time. Nothing will change with this board. The fans need to wake up!

Nothing will change with this board. The fans need to wake up! He's an awful manager but don't worry, the board need to **** off too.
BotleySaint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 About what they deserve really. Apart from a few long range efforts we've been awful.
Pamplemousse Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Its not Hughes fault ffs. The board must love **** like this, they do a crap job and the fans blame the manager every single time. Nothing will change with this board. The fans need to wake up! Our fans are too soft. I’d argue some of them are actively part of the problem.
Cabbage_Face Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 “Good result. We were unlucky.” Mark Hughes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Greenridge Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Just watch Lemina in that move. Utterly couldn't give a tosss Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I’d like to think he’d never wear a Saints shirt again. We’ve got some proper poor players not least Hoedt but you can’t fault his effort whereas Lemina is a disgrace.
Verbal Kint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Brilliant goal. No doubt Hoedt will get the blame for it though. Of course he should. He's come out of position and dived in, not won the ball and created the space for Morata. He's dived in about 5 times today without winning the ball, and on two occasions they've scored because of it
Crab Lungs Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Of course he should. He's come out of position and dived in, not won the ball and created the space for Morata. Cabbage_Face Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 People that defend Hoedt are probably same people who like Danny Welbeck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
miserableoldgit Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Just pathetic. We offer nothing as a team. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
jamesfp1 Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Had to capitalise on that 15 minute spell in the first half. If Ings scores it's a different game... like 1-3 or something.
Baird of the land Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Of course he should. He's come out of position and dived in, not won the ball and created the space for Morata. He's dived in about 5 times today without winning the ball, and on two occasions they've scored because of it Agree it was bad defending. Can't understand how he seems to be the first name on the teamsheet.
OldNick Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Of course he should. He's come out of position and dived in, not won the ball and created the space for Morata. He's dived in about 5 times today without winning the ball, and on two occasions they've scored because of itthis was one of the reasons I logged in, it was stupid defending by Hoedt. To lose by 2 would have been an ok result giving them that simple chance added salt to the wound
austsaint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 How are players like Long, Romeu, Hoedt anywhere near our side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Agree with Hoedt and Long, but thought Romeu was the right half-time sub and resulted in a better midfield performance plus more Saint's play higher up the pitch. Chelsea were different class but at least the second half performance was encouraging.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Who else do you suggest then?........Mcqueen looked ok and he could play central midfield?...nowhere near the bench....Sims out on loan....boufal out on loan......Hesketh out on loan.....Carrilio out on loan........ What happend to Gallagher, injured i know but cant he get ahead of Long?.........do we have anything left in the club to suggest were going to improve?..............
Greenridge Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 I’m glad you know what you’re talking about. Some of the people on here are clueless. I have some sympathy for Hoedt. He tries but he’s just not good enough. He should never have been signed. It’s a club issue not the player. We have the worst pool of CB’s you could ever imagine.
shurlock Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Agree with Hoedt and Long, but thought Romeu was the right half-time sub and resulted in a better midfield performance plus more Saint's play higher up the pitch. Chelsea were different class but at least the second half performance was encouraging. Agree with most of this. Hoj, Lemina and Romeu should all be starting.
BotleySaint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 8 games gone and we've reverted to the failing team of last year (with ings the only exception) and still haven't worked out the best formation and strongest side.
obelisk Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Slightly better 2nd half I suppose but opposition teams and supporters seem to like coming to St Mary's. Are there three worse teams than Saints this season?
bjk Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Utterly Awful.I can't believe their are still teams below us.
austsaint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 I’d like to think he’d never wear a Saints shirt again. We’ve got some proper poor players not least Hoedt but you can’t fault his effort whereas Lemina is a disgrace. Thought Lemina was good today - worked hard, passed well and got forward.

I’d play Vestergard over Hoedt, even Stephens is marginally better. Long offers nothing, so just don’t play him, ever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OldNick Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Thought Lemina was good today - worked hard, passed well and got forward.he gave up in the last 5 minutes and didn't try and run back
SFC-TID! Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Utterly pathetic. Hughes is a dinosaur, playing football from the 90’s. Hoedt must have something on him. Sack him now and get Henry before he goes to Villa and give the city some buzz about the place and him 2 weeks to work with the players. 4 points minimum from the next two. Absolute minimum. Hughes Out.

Unbelievable Jeff Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 To be honest, the mess made by Pellegrino needed a big clean up. Can’t blame Hughes for that. Pellegrino was a better manager for Saints than Hughes has been so far.
redkeith Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Very passive performance for the most part, against the big teams you have to take the few chances that you create. Didn't think anyone was awful, just not at the same level as Chelsea. We had nothing on the bench to hurt Chelsea and change the game. Austin stands still and contributes nothing, Long runs around and contributes nothing. I wish we would look to the future a bit and maybe have Obafalemi or Gallagher on the bench instead . However to those saying we need to go down to have a proper clear out, we can't get rid of Long. Austin, Forster Davis etc as it is, why would clubs snap our hands off in we are in the Championship ? Despite what many posters think f them. Lemina , Cedric Bertrand Hojberg and the like would be snapped up and we would be stuck with all the has beens .
Pamplemousse Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Pellegrino was a better manager for Saints than Hughes has been so far. That's because Pellegrino had inherited Puel's team. The longer Pellegrino was here, the more we declined.
stknowle Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 8 games gone and we've reverted to the failing team of last year (with ings the only exception) and still haven't worked out the best formation and strongest side. TBH we are getting caned far worse than under the clown. Still think we'll be just about ok.
LGTL Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Like I said after Liverpool and Wolves, what’s the point?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Who's fault is it that Ings missed the biggest sitter of the season, Hughes, Reed, Hoedt? Awful miss, utterly awful and would have made a different game had he scored
Cabbage_Face Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Who's fault is it that Ings missed the biggest sitter of the season, Hughes, Reed, Hoedt? Awful miss, utterly awful and would have made a different game had he scored 3 v 1. Don’t be so stupid . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
stknowle Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 I would add that the lack of post match reaction threads in favour of reactions just being tacked on to the match thread is indicative of the overwhelming sense of apathy enveloping everything about our club and team atm. I'm ok with no man of the match poll today though.

Plastic Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Didn’t watch or follow again today. Happier for it. Shîthouse team.
