Saint Albert Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Arguably there was a luiz foul in there. Did you see him hold Hoj? No I missed (as did the commentators) it but it wouldn’t surprise me...good spot by you if he did.
Saints foreva Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Just a shame the fans aren't using this as a chance to give the board some stick for the downgrades they've done since Koeman left.
Big Ron fan Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 AgreedLuiz foul on Hoj there, preventing him from tracking Giroud.
scotty Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 I can't take any more of this, but if anyone else wants to watch the rest of the slaughter this is the best stream I've seen in a long time. http://www.dubs.to/beinsports/
Batman Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Just a shame the fans aren't using this as a chance to give the board some stick for the downgrades they've done since Koeman left. The fans will politely clap the players and staff after the game
wessex saint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Yet again the tactical genius Hughes proves his worth. 3 different formations in the 1st hour. Zonal marking which has led to more goals conceded than anyone else. I wish someone would take his 1987 coaching manual that he got free with match magazine off him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saint Benali Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 And Hughes' league win % drops bellows MP2. Top top manager.
simo Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Chelsea and Leicester will have won more games at st Mary's than saints this last year after today !
DT Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Still, more easy money at the bookies. Would prefer to lose it though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
James Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 This is Les Reed’s legacy. Agreed. Heads should have rolled in the summer but instead they patted themselves on the back and continue to serve up the same old **** to a long suffering fan base paying an absurd amount to watch absolute dross.
SaltashSaint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Nearly a quarter of the way through the season and we have a manager who has no idea what his best team is and no idea what formation best suits his players. Asking Gabbi to play wide is ridiculous. Zonal marking clearly doesn’t work for this team. I seriously fear for us going forward if Hughes remains in charge.
Pamplemousse Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 We probably need to wait for someone to get fired before we make our move. All of the out of work alternatives are far, far worse than Hughes.
DT Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 What's Fat Sam's number? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
SonicBoom Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 The one big player that always scores against us. Totally unmarked. I don't like Hughes but the players have to look at themselves. Someone did not do their job. Shocking.
Saint86 Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 This is Les Reed’s legacy. Yup. Just remember that when you give money to the club you are extending the stay of Les and this Board. That may be okay for some, but at some point the fans need to turn.
Saint Albert Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Arguably there was a luiz foul in there. Did you see him hold Hoj? I had another look at the 0-2 goal...You’re right...Luiz put an arm around Hoj, and blocked him.
DT Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 I guess we're waiting for Mourinho.... ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mrfahaji Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Better from Saints..nice move with Ings shooting it straight at the keeper. 1 of only 2 comments during the spell that we were playing well. I was thinking "I'm actually enjoying watching us play". But then Chelsea score a soft goal. A bit like the first half, and something which seems typical of us.
Saints foreva Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Arguably there was a luiz foul in there. Did you see him hold Hoj? Gives Hughes something to moan about in the post match interview, won't mention the two stonewall penalties for Chelsea though.
Cabbage_Face Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Club rotten to the core. To think people complained with previous lot in charge. Going down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pamplemousse Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Too easy to blame the manager IMO. Let’s start with the cowardly players, Krueger and Reed and the scouts.
Mr X Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 We probably need to wait for someone to get fired before we make our move. All of the out of work alternatives are far, far worse than Hughes. Not all of them..... theres conte but good luck persuading him
DT Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 The most criminal thing is the lack of fight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mrfahaji Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Gives Hughes something to moan about in the post match interview, won't mention the two stonewall penalties for Chelsea though. The thing is, Chelsea scored after the Hoedt/Giroud penalty. So it didn't affect the outcome of the game. It should have been 0-1 and then shortly afterwards, it was.
Saint Benali Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Too easy to blame the manager IMO. Let’s start with the cowardly players, Krueger and Reed and the scouts. Not all his fault at all. But he keeps talking about not picking players who can't do it at the weekend, picking people he trusts etc. Yet continues to pick the same people, play the same way and get the same results. The players are gash no doubt about it but if they are not performing drop them. Pick some kids if need be. That's on the manager. He is **** and tactically doesn't have a clue. He is trying to implement 1990s style football in 2018.
Leslie Charteris Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 OK, which one of you posted this on the BBC text feed? "Just a few years ago Saints were an exciting attacking football team. Not scared to have a go at any team home or away. Now it is a team full of players that are cowards and not fit to wear the shirt. Mark Hughes is only taking us down, probably ending back up in League One." Anonymous

Saints foreva Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 To be honest, the mess made by Pellegrino needed a big clean up. Can’t blame Hughes for that. The mess began when we downgraded Mane, Koeman, Wanyama and Pelle in the same summer.
Cabbage_Face Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 JWP would’ve scored that Redmond effort Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mrfahaji Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 There's obviously things that can be better, but there is also part of me that feels like Chelsea simply have a lot better players than us, and to beat a side like that you have to be well organised and hard to break down, take your chances, and get the rub of the green. Hughes can be responsible for the first two, but have we really been that bad defensively? Not sure he is responsible for Ings & Bertrand missing, nor Kepa pulling off that save a minute ago.
Mr X Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 The mess began when we downgraded Mane, Koeman, Wanyama and Pelle in the same summer. never a truer statement not replacing those with quality was criminal!
Crab Lungs Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 This is not just Hughes mess, but he’s certainly not helping matters. We’re like a portaloo at a festival. Pretty much been dumped on by everyone and in badly need of a clean up as people are now preferring to hold it in or go in the bushes. Without toilet paper.
danjosaint Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Or Hoedt being a fuc***g liability, wanders around, s*it positional sense, hospital balls , slow he is 1 of the worse cbs ive seen at saints
Pamplemousse Posted 7 October, 2018 Posted 7 October, 2018 Next two games are vital really, we need a minimum of 4 points, I’d take three, don’t win either of them and I’d get someone else in charge.
