BotleySaint Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Lucky we decided to go with a tight defensive formation, or else could have been facing a real hammering.Well yes at this stage it just reveals how pointless trying to stay defensive is against Liverpool. Might as well have put 2 up front.
niceandfriendly Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 We're actually playing alright. Hoj, Redmond and Cedric going forward well.
shurlock Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 These commentators are absolutely clueless. Liverpool so dominant my arse.
Lighthouse Posted 22 September, 2018 Author Posted 22 September, 2018 sounds about right - ruin my fantasy football score and Saints still lose Yep. If Salah had scored both there would at least have been some silver lining for me.
Batman Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 we have played pretty well. Trouble is, they are 2-0 up without having to turn the screw
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Look decent going forward - shame we're so poor defensively.
Suhari Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 We don’t look half bad going forward. Redmond’s been lively, again. Cedric is looking better with his crossing, and the midfield is getting forward more. There's better movement and we're moving the ball quicker. Even though I expect a heavy loss, I am feeling more encouraged from our forward play.

trousers Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Armstrong and Austin on for Targett and Romeu at half time please Mr Hughes. None of the usual arbitraily waiting until 60th minute before making a sub please.
shurlock Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 How ugly is Firmino At least he has a decent set of gnashers. Jealous pal?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 yet, have even had a shot let alone made their keeper work? You still here, thought it was over for you?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 At least he has a decent set of gnashers. Hows your hotel picture friend ?
Saint Albert Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Hoj had a fee shot near the penalty spot there. Scuffs it.
Plastic Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Can someone describe the OG please? Laughable shin ball
whelk Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 At least he has a decent set of gnashers. Jealous pal? You can be too white
benjii Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Sixth league match and the 4th time we've let in 2 goals. It's not as though teams are carving through us. It's basic stuff. Often just poor concentration.
Cabbage_Face Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Can someone describe the OG please? Hoedt
alpine_saint Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 The reason we look like we are playing OK is, of course, because Liverpool no longer need to break sweat and can take the foot off the gas. If we got a goal now, they can easily step on it again and run out 7-1 winners. I know it sounds disloyal, but for those of us that dont use match-day as a reason for catching up with mates, and are too far away to attend regularly, is there any point anymore ? Lets not delude ourselves that football at English or European level is any longer a sporting competition
obelisk Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Saints defence is really slow. Any decent pace skins them.
Saint Albert Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Can someone describe the OG please? Ball deflects off Long in the penalty area from the Saints’ right flank, goes straight to Hoedt who plays it into the net to the keeper’s left with a leaden-footed first touch. In his defence I suppose the deflection would have wrong-footed him.

No, no point at all. Cheerio Alps. Been nice knowing you #itsonlyagame
del boy Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 they will tire second half - we've got this in the bag
Pamplemousse Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Lemina has been absolutely shocking. No wonder none of the top clubs want him.
Batman Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 3-0 got salah in my dream team every cloud
doddisalegend Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Just call it quits and not bother with the second half saints
Saint Albert Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Dangerous free kick for Liverpool, with Hoedt fouling Salah by putting his arm across him. Seems a little soft to me. Hits the post, Salah knocks in the ball at close range for 3-0. HT.
Dalek2003 Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Not easy to accept but realistically the more important games are to beat the teams in the bottom third, our near rivals. These games are all about keeping a defeat respectable and just maybe nicking a point on an off day.
Saints foreva Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Look how many ****s in yellow just stand there and watch.
doddisalegend Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 I guess at least we aren't 2-0 down to Burnley...
Pamplemousse Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 They haven't played particularly well, 3-0 down. Awful. This defence has to be sorted out. Start by playing Yoshida and getting rid of Hoedt.
Batman Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 well, they have not had to try and are 3-0 up we have been tidy going forward without testing their keeper what so ever
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Just call it quits and not bother with the second half saints Yep just quit ....
Suhari Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Can we just forfeit the game and everyone head home early?
Cabbage_Face Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Looking forward to Championship next year.
benjii Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 That's exactly what we would have not wanted to have done. #expert
Badger Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Never mind, I'm sure Les Reed will enjoy the hospitality from the Liverpool board and being able to brown nose them.
Saint IQ Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Hoedt and Lemina for anyone else on the bench please. Both having shockers
Mr X Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 not that i want to witness it but anyone got a decent stream please?
obelisk Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 Liverpool have hardly had to try very hard and they're 3-0 up at half time. You'd have thought that they'd have learnt by now not to give the ref a chance to award a soft free kick. If Saints had a decent defence we might stand a chance but at this rate will be well adrift by Christmas.
Batman Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 All in all, Mark Hughes, fu ck off. we need to get the Big Sam klaxon ready..... before anyone dismisses it, the idea of Hughes being our manager even 12 months ago would have equally ridiculed
Saints foreva Posted 22 September, 2018 Posted 22 September, 2018 All three goals were easily avoidable but our defence is just shocking. The recruitment team can ****ing do one.
