5string Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Nice passing move, rubbish shot but at least he had a go.
Saint Pete Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Woah! Get in! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Micky Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 What a goal. Well done to Mario for chasing his own bad touch. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
striker Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Wow what a shot, bet he cant' do that again
5string Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Whoof-ti-do! What a goal from Hoj! Fantastic!
Sheaf Saint Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 What a hit that is! Channeling the spirit of Martina there. Go on son. Beauty!
DT Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Wow. Just wow. Knuckle ball. And totally deserved Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Plastic Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Take a bow son. You guys are about 1 minute ahead of me! Boom!
OttawaSaint Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Are we now starting to see the real Hoj. The guy that Bayern thought was so promising?
St Chalet Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Now, let’s go on and bury this lot. There for the taking tonight.
Suhari Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Boom. That's why I put him in my FF team this week.
5string Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Are we now starting to see the real Hoj. The guy that Bayern thought was so promising? Seriously hope so. I've been a big fan since he joined. Loads of potential, here's hoping he realises it for Saints.
Plastic Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Channeling the spirit of Martina there. Go on son. Beauty! Nah not a patch on coco’s banana goal.
Lighthouse Posted 17 September, 2018 Author Posted 17 September, 2018 He must have a foot like a traction engine!
stknowle Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Great tackle from Hoedt. Yeah, very nicely timed.
Colinjb Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Watching those replays..... Very reminiscent of Cuco Martina. Particularly the angle from the Chapel/Itchen corner.
SaintStinger Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 A first half goal. A what a lovely goal too.
Crab Lungs Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Brighton chasing shadows ... need to put this to bed. Excellent stuff so far. Redmond a completely different player and having two dynamic centre mods helps. Lots of zip about us. Too stuff
Lighthouse Posted 17 September, 2018 Author Posted 17 September, 2018 1 min? Hoedt was on the floor for 2 and we had a goal (not that I'm complaining).
Edmonton Saint Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Good first half, Hojbjerg and Lemina bossing the midfield. Redmond a threat and Elyounoussi not as bad as people making out.
striker Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Very, very good half. Deserve to be ahead, and controlled play. We made Brighton look like a League One team. Still need another score though
5string Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 1 min? Hoedt was on the floor for 2 and we had a goal (not that I'm complaining). Probably stick it on the end, when BHA are pressing for a winner/equalizer.
Micky Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Hoi, Lemina and Redmond all good. Should be more than one up, more of the same in the second half. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
DT Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 We always need a second. Should go all out for that at the start of the second half. Good start though and amazing goal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
UpweySaint Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Lots of positives first half; Bossing the midfield, lovely finish, Hoedt and Vestergaard looking reliable, Redmond very bright, The pressing is great to see - I know Long lacks in other areas but winning the ball back so high up creates chances. We just need to keep our foot on the peddle in the second half and resist the urge to drop back allowing Brighton to dictate the play.
SaintStinger Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Elyounoussi a massive upgrade on Boufal. He will do well this season.
Pass the Dutchie Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 What a magnificent goal from Højbjerg. Our play after the goal was also reason to be hopeful for more.
Dark Munster Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Redmond excellent. Lamina and Hoj forming a nice partnership in the centre. Missing JWP's set piece deliveries.
NewYorkSaint Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Yup, the determination and skill in our pressing game is killing 'em. they're completely unable to keep the ball. Lemina, Hoj, winning the ball time and again. Exciting to see. would love, love, love to see another couple goals our way. there's a chance here to not only go top 10 but regain the mentality of 3+ years ago, when we knew we were near as damn it up there w the top 6.
Saint Matty 76 Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 All for Long in games against tougher opposition where he has stuff to chase down but in matches like these it's got to be Ings and one of the other three.
Plastic Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 "Hojbjerg’s strike for Southampton came from 34.99 yards out, the longest-range strike in the Premier League this season." From bbc
shurlock Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 All a bit huff and puff but a well-deserved lead.
Saint Billy Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Well Sky isn't that impressed with the first half but I thought we dominated and played a decent game, we just need to feed those killer balls to Ings and we have this game in the bag.
Saint Pete Posted 17 September, 2018 Posted 17 September, 2018 Would love to see Redmond score tonight. The only thing missing from his performance in first half. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
