OttawaSaint Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Sweet! A Batman other games thread! Looking forward to some football tomorrow (today). In other news the Ottawa Senators (ice hockey) GM just made Les Reed look like Einstein by trading away our version of MLT for nothing.

the boy from saints Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 I think I want a spurs win Definitely! But it's so hard to want a Tottenham win - especially when I hear them singing our song!
Useful Idiot Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 My two most disliked teams playing against each other. Against anyone else I'd want Spurs to lose, but this time I'm hoping that they nick it with. VVD own goal in the 93rd minute.
benjii Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Definitely! But it's so hard to want a Tottenham win - especially when I hear them singing our song! Does my head in less than that monotonous dirge the Liverpool fans seem to love so much.
benjii Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Danny Rose is a load of crap. Shouldn't be ahead of Bertrand.
Batman Posted 15 September, 2018 Author Posted 15 September, 2018 Ducks are lining up for Liverpool to win it. Obviously, when they do it will be the greatest title win in the history of the world
Pamplemousse Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Our only hope next weekend is that Klopp decides to rotate his team, given their tricky fixture list. Let's hope PSG give them the run around
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Spurs are pretty poor and should be stuffed 5 or 6 by now Dippers will have tough games against the lesser teams
Batman Posted 15 September, 2018 Author Posted 15 September, 2018 Spurs are pretty poor and should be stuffed 5 or 6 by now Dippers will have tough games against the lesser teams probably SPurs looked whacked. Too many of their players have played too much football Look at the state of Kane. He needs a month off
adrian lord Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Tottenham playing with no verve, passion or guile. Oddly out of sorts. Looks like they all had 20 mg of Valium with their breakfast Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Poor defending by the dippers and van dork just turned his back on the shot

qwertyell Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Tottenham again can't cope with the high press - Poch's own tactical quirk being used against him, and better. Spurs desperately needed to freshen up their midfield in the summer. They've got no mobility at all. Dembele's legs have gone, Dier's a carthorse. Even their full backs - once a vital attacking weapon in their armoury - have slowed and can't move the ball forwards under pressure. Very ordinary. I think they'll finish fifth this season. That being said, Liverpool looked scary and I'm not looking forward to our team of plodders trying to keep pace with them. Could be ugly. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
Pamplemousse Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Best thing for us to do is to copy the 16-17 tactics against them. Four games played, W2 D2 L0 F2 A0, and two of those games were with Stephens in defence!
OttawaSaint Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Whoops. Fulham started brightly but Seri just made a huge error, City 1-0.
whelk Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Ducks are lining up for Liverpool to win it. Obviously, when they do it will be the greatest title win in the history of the world What are the ducks doing to the small matter of Man City?
Batman Posted 15 September, 2018 Author Posted 15 September, 2018 Surprised with the score at Bournemouth, given how much of a world class manager Puel is
Lighthouse Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Every fantasy football decision I make is wrong. Took an 8 point hit, sold Firmino and lost 6 points thanks to Liverpool’s defence going for a shower 3 minutes early.
niceandfriendly Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 "We Want Puel Out" ringing out here at Dean Court from the Leicester fans. Bournemouth have been good but not amazing. Leicester have had chances but overall very poor. Foxes fans very angry.

Batman Posted 15 September, 2018 Author Posted 15 September, 2018 (edited) Leicester down to 10 men with 20+ mins left 4-0 on 80 mins Edited 15 September, 2018 by Batman
Badger Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 & they still beat us Time to remind ourselves, in a Branfootesque way, "Southampton can't afford to live in the same street as (insert ...in this case)Bournemouth and our supporters had better get used to it..."
Pamplemousse Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 4-2 now The world's greatest come back is on
teamsaint Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Hopefully Howe will get poached by some big but hopeless mid table club soon. This should help.

Pamplemousse Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Everton probably once Silva gets sacked
Lighthouse Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 More defeats for Udders, Newcastle and Fulham, with Leicester not looking too clever either. Good afternoon for Saints.
Badger Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Josh Sims update: ... substitute Josh Sims has crossed for Leandro Bacuna to tap home with ease.
benjii Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Huddersfield have 5 goals in their last 15 league games. Can't see them surviving this year. Cardiff will also go down. Then it's one from Fulham, Wolves and Newcastle, I think.

Then it's one from Fulham, Wolves and Newcastle, I think. I can't see Wolves being anywhere near the danger zone to be honest, and I suspect Fulham will pull away from it as well. I'll swap West Ham (Dildo Bros, & £110m !!) with you though for Newcastle. But lets not get carried away this time last season everyone had said Palace were nailed on certainties.
John Boy Saint Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Cardiff killing everyone’s Super 6 Mine was appalling this afternoon.
saint1977 Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 & they still beat us Pace - Bournemouth have lots of it, whereas the Puel and Pellegrino eras sucked any urgency out of Saints. Having said that, Leicester were poor at SMS but our players didn’t have the quality in the final third to finish them off with Ings struggling with his feet. Leicester fans frustrated at the slow build up and losing that pacy counter attacking thrust that was their hallmark. I’m sure it’s the first thing their new manager will fix if they get someone that understands English football better.
tajjuk Posted 15 September, 2018 Posted 15 September, 2018 Current bottom 5 are looking poor, but you'd think one of Burnley or Hammers would pull out of it and someone else will get sucked in. Spurs were crap today, anyone playing Liverpool can't bomb their fullback forward like that, as that front 3 will kill you. You need to be compact at the back with at least 1 DM, maybe 2, that then puts the pressure on their midfield to create something to break you down, then put them under pressure 2nd half as they tend to run out of steam. Leicester almost managed it.

whelk Posted 16 September, 2018 Posted 16 September, 2018 The bottom 9 teams have played total of 40 games so far this season. Number of games won between all nine teams is 4. Suggests the bar for avoiding relegation going to be v low this season.
John Boy Saint Posted 16 September, 2018 Posted 16 September, 2018 What colour was that away shirt Man U played in last night?!!!
shurlock Posted 16 September, 2018 Posted 16 September, 2018 Virgin Van Dork Surprised that one got past ALWAYS electric wit.
OttawaSaint Posted 16 September, 2018 Posted 16 September, 2018 What colour was that away shirt Man U played in last night?!!! Pink. I thought my TV needed adjusting at first.
LGTL Posted 16 September, 2018 Posted 16 September, 2018 Wolves look seriously good. Anyone tipping them to struggle needs their head testing.
