Pamplemousse Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 7pm tonight Blackpool, Burton, Macclesfield, Oxford and Wycombe are probably the best opponents possible
trousers Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 (edited) Assume we'll get the usual dull draw? i.e. Crystal Palace Can't remember the last time we drew a 'minnow' at this stage of the draw Edited 30 August, 2018 by trousers
Pamplemousse Posted 30 August, 2018 Author Posted 30 August, 2018 It's got to be Stoke away, hasn't it....? That would be very funny
hackedoff Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Home to " big "prem team or away to a lesser prem team. Either way we can then concentrate on the league thereafter.
Matthew Le God Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Same as I want in every single cup draw.. A game vs the worst team left in the competition at St Mary's, in order to give Saints the best possible chance of progression and limit travel impact on the league.
nta786 Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Millwall away please Just watch it be Wolves away though- cos we play them a couple days later over there anyway.
SNSUN Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Norwich at St Mary's please. The wife is already annoyed at me for going to work and leaving her with the baby () as if it's some kind of boys club and I don't do anything (I do, some of the time), so it would be nice to smash them and annoy her even more.
ericb Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Oxford or Wycombe away for a new ground, or Millwall or Fulham away for a **** up in London. Most likely Palace at home or Arsenal away.
Charlie Wayman Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Norwich at St Mary's please. You have a very good basis there for a long and happy marriage, I'll give it two years!
vectraman Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Man City away. Just to end our hopes early Ideally the worst team left at home though please mr cup draw gods...
trousers Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Assume we'll get the usual dull draw? i.e. Crystal Palace Can't remember the last time we drew a 'minnow' at this stage of the drawNot far off...
Batman Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 How ridiculously dull. Like clockwork, this comment gets an airing
Shandy_Top_89 Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Boring, difficult and a fixture we have only just played in the league. We seem to be on a pretty lengthy run of **** draws.
LGTL Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Like clockwork, this comment gets an airing There is literally nothing good about this draw. At all. Clockwork or not.
Batman Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Loving the “boring” and “dull” comments after 99% of our Cup draws That is us out BTW
Pamplemousse Posted 30 August, 2018 Author Posted 30 August, 2018 We play Liverpool away the Saturday before, I imagine we'll just stay up there
Batman Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 There is literally nothing good about this draw. At all. Clockwork or not. Nearly all of the draws would have been “boring”. It’s the league cup. We have played against nearly all of the clubs in England within the last decade
LGTL Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Loving the “boring” and “dull” comments after 99% of our Cup draws That is us out BTW Wouldn’t you fancy an Oxford, Wycombe, Burton away tie. Perhaps a home team sold out, decent atmosphere? New ground? Guess you wouldn’t get a ticket.
hackedoff Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 We play Liverpool away the Saturday before, I imagine we'll just stay up there Would make more sense to just stay at home.
Batman Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Wouldn’t you fancy an Oxford, Wycombe, Burton away tie. Perhaps a home team sold out, decent atmosphere? New ground? Guess you wouldn’t get a ticket. Given that saints have played nearly every single club in England in under the last decade. Good luck on that front in round 3 of the league cup

alehouseboys Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Assume we'll get the usual dull draw? i.e. Crystal Palace Can't remember the last time we drew a 'minnow' at this stage of the draw This was the last time we got a minnow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5--pXqwOSok Oh for another tiddler, we get Everton away, what a crock of sh*te
Micky Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Oh well, not at all what I wanted, but is up my neck of the woods so I might toddle along for this one if for nothing else other than to check out those legendary ground-breaking dugouts. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
Colinjb Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Ugh. Not Everton. Sometimes I wish that Liverpool would just declare itself a communist state and split away....
Shroppie Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 We're at Anfield on the 22nd. Might as well have a short break holiday up there. [emoji6] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

CB Fry Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 HAS EVERYONE FORGOTTEN THE LAST TIME WE PLAYED IN LIVERPOOL IN THE LEAGUE CUP FFS
ericb Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 HAS EVERYONE FORGOTTEN THE LAST TIME WE PLAYED IN LIVERPOOL IN THE LEAGUE CUP FFS Nope it was superb, and will long stay with me as one of my favourite away days ever with Saints. But it was also the league cup semi final. This is a third round tie against a side that's better than us, at a ground we have an abysmal record at, and we're likely to have less than 500 people there as a guess. It's quite possibly the worst draw we could've got to be honest.
Shroppie Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Maybe our reserves are better than their reserves. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
JRM Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Maybe our reserves are better than their reserves. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk Unfortunately I doubt it. Anyway they could play reserves and we could play our strongest team and they'd still beat us - just because it's Everton at Goodison and we never get anything there. We've sold 1700 for Liverpool a few days before and are on course to sell out 3000 at Wolves a few days after, this will be a really low turn out from us . I agree, I was really hoping for Burton or Macclesfield away , or at least somewhere convenient like Brentford or QPR away , this is just a rubbish draw.
beatlesaint Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Spurs have got a ****in cheek wanting to play their game in Milton Keynes ! WTF ? How many “home” grounds do they want this season ? If the EFL had any balls they should be saying no and reverse the fixture !!
the saint in winchester Posted 30 August, 2018 Posted 30 August, 2018 Maybe our reserves are better than their reserves. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk That's the spirit. Glass half full. Hopefully they send out the kids for this one, we send out the men and the job's a good'un. Bish bosh, round 4 home to a minnow. Lovely jubbly.
