Pamplemousse Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Let’s pray Vestergaard is back next weekend
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 I dont think we are that bad??? Creating chances at least away from home This but too easy for Everton at our end
Mr X Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Early days but Hughes is not going to inspire this team Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Batman Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Another header lost in the box With this defence, it happens constantly
striker Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Awful defending there. Uncontested dribbling into the box, then beaten for a header. 15 year olds know better
obelisk Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 No pressure on the Everton players at all. They just stroll into our penalty area without any problem at all.
Wrensup Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Remember the good old days when we weren’t garbage?
doddisalegend Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Stephens and Hoedt are going to do for us again this season neither should be anywhere near the first 11.
shurlock Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 The chuckle brothers are dead. Long live the chuckle brothers. What was Stephens doing? Marking thin air? How can Cedric be inside him challenging for the ball?
Saint Pete Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Defensive problems, with Stephens and Hoedt at centre back. Who could have anticipated that?
John Boy Saint Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Do we just go up there to lose. Oh look someone taller than Cedric wins the header in the box to score
benjii Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 ****e at the back? That's a surprise. If only someone could have looked at that team selection and predicted that....
Bewildered Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Good of Stephens to let the midget RB pick up Richarlison while he stands there like a goon.
Useful Idiot Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Brilliant by Hughes to vacate the midfield 2 weeks in a row! I think 2 central midfielders is certainly the way forward. This 4 at the back looks so much better than the 3 did last week! Nothing to do with the midfield being outnumbered in both games at all.
bpsaint Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Shambles. Hoedt and Stephens are not PL footballers.
Charlie Wayman Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 FFS this is awful. We're clueless. Up Sh**e creek.
DG Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Hopefully Rafa walks out of Newcastle soon and we pinch him.
OttawaSaint Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 JWP want that early cross but keeps ****ing it up. Needs to take a touch.
Patrick Bateman Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 I think everyone agreed that one new centre back wasn't enough ... Stephens and Hoedt are not good.
benjii Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Stephens is a lower league standard defender. I really can't understand why he gets a game at centre back.
shurlock Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Another header lost in the box With this defence, it happens constantly You learn nothing from pre-season.
Wrensup Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 There aren't 3 worse teams than us this season. Joy. I’d say Cardiff for sure but after that I’m struggling... maybe Watford?
Edmonton Saint Posted 18 August, 2018 Author Posted 18 August, 2018 Another free header missed, this time by Ings.
washsaint Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Stephens and Hoedt are going to do for us again this season neither should be anywhere near the first 11. WTF are you whinging about Stephens for? He has done nothing wrong. Hoedt again - misses header and the shockingly awful Cedric not even jumping. But heh, Stephens is terrible.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 This is what the Burnley game was like, but Everton are taking some of the multitude of chances.
BotleySaint Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Everton have invested quiet heavily in some proven quality. Gonna be a thrashing but we can't expect anything today. We buy mostly unknowns.
Edmonton Saint Posted 18 August, 2018 Author Posted 18 August, 2018 Defensive problems, with Stephens and Hoedt at centre back. Who could have anticipated that? Seems like 95% of the fanbase know this, but Reed, Kruger and Hughes think they know best.
Pamplemousse Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 As I said, Everton aren’t great defensively. IF we can nick one and get our act together defensively this game isn’t over yet. I reckon we will score but not conceding any more is asking a lot of us
washsaint Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 What has happened to Romeu last season and this? He is shocking now.
Saint Pete Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Hopefully Rafa walks out of Newcastle soon and we pinch him. Look, I don’t agree with the selection today, especially at centre back. But calling for the managers head after 1.5 games of the season is ****ing ridiculous irrespective of the score today.
Mr X Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Hopefully Rafa walks out of Newcastle soon and we pinch him.Yes cos as we know the club is really good at taking decisive action fast! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Saints foreva Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 What has happened to Romeu last season and this? He is shocking now. One season wonder.
shurlock Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 WTF are you whinging about Stephens for? He has done nothing wrong. Hoedt again - misses header and the shockingly awful Cedric not even jumping. But heh, Stephens is terrible. Eh? Stephens should have been where Cedric was, not scratching his balls, marking thin air. Cedric was correcting for Stephens going awol. Try watching the game pal.
washsaint Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Everton have invested quiet heavily in some proven quality. Gonna be a thrashing but we can't expect anything today. We buy mostly unknowns. Who don't even get on the pitch............
Saint Albert Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 As I said, Everton aren’t great defensively. IF we can nick one and get our act together defensively this game isn’t over yet. I reckon we will score but not conceding any more is asking a lot of us We”ve had good chances. Austin and Ings have both missed free headers, and Ings failed to score from a sitter. Ugh. JWP weak in midfield.
doddisalegend Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 **** me If I hear whispering Dave say " Free Header" one more time the cat is getting a kick.
DG Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Look, I don’t agree with the selection today, especially at centre back. But calling for the managers head after 1.5 games of the season is ****ing ridiculous irrespective of the score today. Not calling for his head, but hope we don't sleep on it if the opportunity presents itself. We are stuck with a dud squad thanks to bloated wages for poor players so have to hope the manager can do the best he can with poor tools.
Saints foreva Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 Wow we won a header from one of their free kicks.
Batman Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 We are a horrible side. Remember when we were exciting more often than not
OttawaSaint Posted 18 August, 2018 Posted 18 August, 2018 We seem better in attack and looking to pass and move but we make so many passing errors and mental mistakes. It’s like we just switch off.
