Reviving the ITK snippets thread

A couple years back we had this. Being a lazy sod with no time to trawl through the HCDAJFU thread, wondered if anyone found ITK posts from any of the threads and could post them here?

 

(although gone are the days of reliable ITKs, it seems).

Most of the people seem to be scared off or abused when sharing the bits they have heard. Real shame as think a few people enjoy reading them. Let’s hope we get them back.

Can't blame people for not believing alleged ITKs. We have had more than our fair share of shysters and WUMS pretending to be ITK on here over the years.

 

A lot of alleged ITKs are bloody precious about it as well. If you want to share then share but don't expect everyone to believe you.

Maybe there is an internet forum out there free from WUMs where everyone is polite, respectful and discusses differences like adults but I haven't found it yet.

No idea if it’s all it’s cracked up to be as never used it, nor likely to. I guess most forums are not dissimilar to Saintsweb, imperfect. Some good stuff, some not so good.

TheVMan or something wasn't it. Was normally pretty good for early team news but didn't really know much about transfers.

 

Hard to know if someone is genuinely ITK or just on a wind up. Some things are just so easy to make up and can neither be proved nor disproved. For example I could post:

"The club are still in for an attacking player. Can't say who it is because I don't want to compromise the deal. Player and his agent are keen but the selling club are being awkward over a sell on clause."

Sounds very knowledgeable but all complete waffle and will never be proved wrong.

We've had a few itk people over the years. The proper ones in general post with little fanfare and are roundly thankws for sharing. The bullsh*tters and attention seekers like Jack schitt for example are largely ignore, abused or made fun of because they are very obvious liars.

Let's face it there is so much fake news around these days that it is nigh on impossible to give any credence to anything you read on here as 'snippets'.

 

Presumably anybody who works in around SFC at a senior or intermediate level of management risks immediate dismissal if they let slip any confidential information they have been given or have come across inadvertently as part of their jobs and very few people in junior or temp jobs will have any access to what is going on inside the club. Loose talk cost jobs.

 

Any so-called leaks will likely be deliberate feeds by the PR team at SFC.

VFFT is genuinely ITK and shares it on here when he gets it. It's worth saying that most people only hear snippets in certain situations so it'll come through in dribs and drabs, and sometimes be out of date before it's even posted.

FTF - he got the new manager wrong on one occasion - well, his “source” did (Pellegrino instead of Puel, but I am not 100% sure). There was a lot of info behind the scenes on the Fonte situation that was interesting (if true). It was a while back now but from what I remember it was mostly stuff going on behind the scenes rather than specific transfer stuff. His “source” wanted to get the clubs side of the story out there without being too official about it apparently. BS or not, he was always a good read. Seems to have fallen off the planet now though. Whatever was going on with Jack, he did come across as a bloke you would like to have a pint with and not just a run of the mill WUM.

A good friend worked at the club in a fairly senior role and was very close to a few directors, so I was told bits and on a few occasions socialised with some of the players.

 

Sadly they no longer work at the club and whilst I know a few who work there still, I rarely hear anything.

 

Personally don’t get the fascination/hate (not aimed at you, pamplemousse talking in general) with ‘ITK’s’ on here. If I get told anything of note, which I think I can share, I will. It’s up to you if you believe or not - I generally take with a pinch of salt unless I can verify through my contact.

 

But as eric has said, things are some times drip fed out (sometimes made up) and things change very quickly so can be out of date before they get out.

Agreed and it's incredibly obvious who the true itks are who are just sharing what they can. Very rarely do those types of posters get any abuse. It's also obvious who the bullsh*tters, liars and attention seekers are largely because they get so angry when they are even mildly questioned. I don't support any abuse or ridicule of genuine itks but over the years the likes of Jack schitt, Saint David, lifelong Saint and others deserve all the cr*p they received.
