johnnyboy Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Saints in new yellow away kit Don’t suppose you want to periscope it ?
doddisalegend Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Does anyone know how to get the video player to work, it's saying not started on my phone and laptop? yeah me to
angelman Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Video player is shoit and needs to be seriously overhauled. Very poor and surprised OS is happy to continue with it.
eurosaint Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Does anyone know how to get the video player to work, it's saying not started on my phone and laptop? Same with me, is it actually on stream on the SFC website ??
davefizzy14 Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Same with me, is it actually on stream on the SFC website ?? It says it is but not playing so far?
larryhagman Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Pretty much anytime I try to watch anything on the saints website, it doesn't work. Even videos of press conferences that have already finished ffs. Tad amateurish
eurosaint Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Pretty much anytime I try to watch anything on the saints website, it doesn't work. Even videos of press conferences that have already finished ffs. B Fecking incompetent more like !
larryhagman Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Its almost definitely just updates anyway. As mentioned above
trousers Posted 21 July, 2018 Author Posted 21 July, 2018 how are you watching t hat?Derby website. (I was sad enough to pay a fiver )
Dusic Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Saints poor so far. Sloppy passing between back 5 and midfield and Austin extremely isolated. Hoedt dreadful on the ball. Personally I don't think we suit the 5-3-2 from an attacking perspective, especially when the wing backs are JWP and Targett. Once all our CBs are back and available then surely Bertrand switches to LWB. Armstrong doesn't look suited to the deeper role.

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Hoedt giving the ball away in dangerous areas multiple times.
davefizzy14 Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 So are there any other streams that we can use to watch the game on?
Hobbit73 Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Down under stream from the website works perfectly (which I couldn't say for the way we play at the moment). .. Casting it on the telly from laptop... Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Hobbit73 Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Sydney, Australia... It's a stream from Rams website... Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
Saints foreva Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Struggling to string 3 passes together at the moment.
benjii Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 I do worry if Hughes is too wedded to this system. Needs must and, fair play, he got us over the line - just - last season. Stoke were a disorganised mess when we played them when they were under him, though.
doddisalegend Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 I guess the saints OS isn't even giving us text updates then?
striker Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Seem to need another player in midfield, its only Armstrong and Lemina and they look to be getting over run
Batman Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Seem to need another player in midfield, its only Armstrong and Lemina and they look to be getting over run 433 would suit our player more IMO
jamesfp1 Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 I guess the saints OS isn't even giving us text updates then?Nothing for them to say other than it's all Derby and Saints looking like a pub team.
doddisalegend Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 I do worry if Hughes is too wedded to this system. Needs must and, fair play, he got us over the line - just - last season. Stoke were a disorganised mess when we played them when they were under him, though. it would work better with the right personnel. Bertrand is wasted as a CB, Romeu should be sitting with Lemina , Cedric will offer more than JWP and ideally Stephens and Hoedt should be on the bench.

rooney Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 I guess the saints OS isn't even giving us text updates then? They have just put the Teams up. Things are moving?
SaintBobby Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 This is pretty dire. Mainly Derby pressure and only one half chance for us, which Redmond ballooned.
trousers Posted 21 July, 2018 Author Posted 21 July, 2018 Woeful Saints defending... Derby through on goal... One on one with the keeper... Great stop McCarthy
doddisalegend Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 They have just put the Teams up. Things are moving? should get our first update on the game at half time then...
Batman Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 who is going to be the first to say 'cant read anything into pre-season games'?
verlaine1979 Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Thinking about it, the two note-worthiest teams making a success of playing 5 at the back do both have Eden Hazard in them. Maybe there's something in that.
doddisalegend Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 So business as normal at the back then. We need Yoshida and Vestergaard to step up this season so we don't have to see Hoedt and Stephens embarrassing us in a saints shirt every week..
Hobbit73 Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 OK, I'll use my last message for something meaningful [emoji23]. Sparky out!!! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
Sinned Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 I reckon that as Derby are charging for the stream, they won't give free access to Saints Player, as it may cut their income
doddisalegend Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 who is going to be the first to say 'cant read anything into pre-season games'? Well I think we can say Hoedt and Stephens are still ****e on the other hand this won't be our first 11 in the PL...... well I hope not
rooney Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 I reckon that as Derby are charging for the stream, they won't give free access to Saints Player, as it may cut their income Saints were selling away tickets too so you may be correct. Perhaps we will be let in free at half time:)
Saints foreva Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Worrying performances from Stephens and Hoedt They are making the exact same positional mistakes as last season.
Saints foreva Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 (edited) 33 year old David Nugent comfortably outpaces Hoedt but chips over. 0-0 half time. Edited 21 July, 2018 by Saints foreva
trousers Posted 21 July, 2018 Author Posted 21 July, 2018 Half time. Derby look much more 'match fit' than us. Redmond probably our best player.
SaintBobby Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Bit better in the last ten or fifteen mins of the half.
doddisalegend Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Redmond our brightest player in sort of a free role across the front That's the role he has played in the two Chinese pre-season games and got himself a couple of goals it would be great if Hughes could breed a bit of confidence into him and he had a good season.
striker Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 Well.... The good news is the players in the back three today possibly won't be playing come Burnley. Stephens is just poor, Hoedt is weak, and Bertrand will be out wide. Yoshi, Jannik, Bednarek, with Bertrand and Cedric will make a huge difference. I thought JWP and Targett were poor too. I don't know completely what was going on in midfield, but it just seemed like Derby were running through them. I don't know if Hughes is trying out a new scheme (which isn't working), or if Armstrong just isn't that good. I thought Mo, Redmond, and Austin were ok, nothing too exciting but its hard when the the other 7 are defending most of the time. McCarthy was really good, the best player on the pitch. Thats the way I see it, I'm sure others will see it completely different
shurlock Posted 21 July, 2018 Posted 21 July, 2018 I do worry if Hughes is too wedded to this system. Needs must and, fair play, he got us over the line - just - last season. Stoke were a disorganised mess when we played them when they were under him, though. How’s the book pal?
