SimonRichards Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 . not one police officer insight. Near on riots inside the ground with our own fans fighting amongst themselves. Even during the protests outside the front, it took half and hour for 6 coppers to turn up.
negium Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 According to a friend of mine who is a steward the police decided, like Barnsley last year, that the match was a low risk and so needed no police presence. someone high up obviously is an idiot to have made that decision.

Not really - had we won 3 nil then perhaps the fighting and rioting would not have happened. Afterthought: us win 3 nil... ummm I'll get my coat.....
Um Bongo Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 It was the clubs Decison not to have Police there, to save money. The Stewards really didn't have a clue what they were doing, and took an age to respond to anything.
SimonRichards Posted 18 January, 2009 Author Posted 18 January, 2009 For those who were fighting, will they be arrested? If there were no police at the stadium how can these fans who were throwing punches be punished?

If there were no police at the stadium how can these fans who were throwing punches be punished? of course they can.. it is like being arrested for being caught by a sales assistant for shop lifting.. if the club have evidence (footage) then im sure the police CAN punish them
