I think the bottom line is he didn't want to pay with his own money. If he did the court case doesn't happen. At the worst he would have been embarrassed, and as you say that happen anyway.

Anyway it's all just theories, but I'm just pleased he got undone by his own arrogance.

A lot of these things are time sensitive. They find out about an upcoming article, and have to react to quash it. The method they used was a regular one used due to it's speed and separation.

Yes, it absolutely could have had a lot more layering to conceal it from personal accounts, but that takes time, and a bit more thought put into it. And does leave a trail. The tactic used is not an uncommon typology in those circles.

From what I've read Trump is like a walking black hole of ego. Every time he walks in a room he's looking to see what he can take from it. No perceived transgression from anyone can be ignored or left without ego based retribution.

So totally agree on your earlier "he's paranoid about being a chump." While his team might have been worried about the impact on his campaign (like the Access Hollywood reaction) you can bet he was just as focused on slamming shut any details on him personally. So, that went well 🙂

FBI needs to be tracing every one of those comments threatening jury members and coordinating some dawn raids to get these thugs out of circulation, charged and on the equivalent of remand for a while. Appeasement won’t work with Trump’s movement any more than it did in 1930s. 🇩🇪 

If you threaten juries in this country it’s a custodial sentence, the length depending on seriousness of the threats. 

It’s playing out as I thought, Trump’s base making lots of noise but it’s all the people who were going to vote for him anyway. The 10-15% swing state voters are the key, time will tell but polls consistently showed before the trial that if there was a conviction, voting for him went off the table. Usual morons like Boris and Piers Morgan brownnosing.

I have an American passport so can vote here in the USA. I have to hand it to the Republicans, they have succeeded, after his guilty verdict for the heinous crime of ticking the wrong box on a gun permit application, I definitely won't be voting for Hunter Biden.

I'm not sure they would now. Snacks of panic and I don't think someone like gavin newsom would have the profile or recognition. Maybe Michelle Obama? They really fecked up not putting someone even vaguely competent on the ticket months ago.

It is mind-boggling how it has come to this, a convicted criminal vs a senile old man for the leader of the free world. It would be funny if there wasn't so much depending on it re: the war vs Russia. Having a pal of Putin in the White House is not going to be great for the current situation.

Surely Biden can pull out of health grounds, he is clearly not up to the job now, let alone in 4 years time. Just need someone to hide his meds for a day or two.

I don't know if this is unprecedented, but it's certainly unusual. But it's obviously they need to stand Biden down. There will have been loads of manoeuvring behind the scenes over the last year, there will be candidates ready to take it on.

Yes, so much better we have an enemy of his in power to oppose him. Jeez. So Trump deals with him well and keeps friendly relations and that is bad. Deranged Trump hatred syndrome.  You guessed it. I don't know how them Dems couldn't see it. Most of us have probably had a grandparent that age and had to have a difficult conversation with them about when it's time to stop driving or when they need to be in a care home, for their own safety. I can't help but feel that someone should have been there to say, "okay Grandpa Joe, it's time to stop being president now and go and have a nap."

How can I put this not wanting to hurt your feelings, if you think having that utter lunatic Trump will help the Ukraine situation because he is Putin`s friend then you are deranged and more of a lunatic the both Putin and Trump combined.

The world would be better for the president of the US to be a rocking horse rather than Trump

Exactly this. If people are thinking Biden wouldnt make it through a full term they might still vote for him if the VP is strong. Kamala Harris isnt that popular. Ive felt for months the party machinery will step in, but yep doing it now may be too late.

Amazing it has come till now for the panic about Biden to be an open thing. His performance at the debate was not much different any number of public appearances over the last few years.

If Trump wins the the primary reason is the Democrats failing to be even vaguely competent. They will only have themselves to blame.

They are different things. The 'panic' now is that the Dems, because of the perception of Biden, are conceded too much to Trump in the election. That was Biden's one chance to shut that down, he failed.

Biden's performance in public over his term doesn't correlate with the performance of the Democrat administration, the figures are good, despite what the little tiktoc videos say.

The only scenario where Biden isn't the candidate is if he pulls out. I can see that happening.

I suppose the only other scenario is if he dies.

Biden and his team were wrong not stepping away.

 Thats basically what most people are saying on twitter from what I've seen - horrendous choice between two candidates who are both essentially unfit to be President. 

The Americans seem to love a dynasty - the Roosevelts, the Kennedys, the Bushes, Clintons and even Obamas or failing that a familiar face like Trump and Biden. It's not healthy.
