NBC News has a report that European and other nations are weighing up whether to cut back on intelligence sharing with the US.

We’d be mad to share anything now. They aren’t our ally.

Spot on.

The feckin democrat's are as much too blame for fielding such a weak attempt at holding onto power and allowing this lunatic back in. Idiot Biden played into Trumps hands.

Expand

They don’t seem to be doing much to fight back either at the moment. One commentator said that he thought that they were sitting back and just hoping that Trump and his gang would implode. They need to do more.

According to NBC News Trump has said privately that he will not restart supplying arms and ammunition to Ukraine even if the minerals "deal" is signed. He wants the conflict stopped 'as is', with no recovery of occupied territory, and for Zelensky to stand down.

Not sure the Russians will be too happy with Ukraine taking over bits of their land.

Washington has vetoed a proposal at the G7 to create a task force to tackle the "shadow fleet" of tankers Russia is using to bypass sanctions on oil sales.

More evidence that JD Vance's cousin is correct when he says that the President and VP are Putin's useful idiots.

Sounds like the wrong Vance is VP. This one is brave, can string a sentence together and walk in a straight line.

You need an IQ of over 83 to join the US Army, ( which apparently rules out 10% of the population ), but this doesn't seem to apply to the Commander-in-Chief.

Seeming though there is currently an oil tanker on fire in the north sea, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the latest shadow fleet disaster..

Sounds like a collision in poor visibility, albeit a nasty one https://news.sky.com/story/coastguard-helicopter-scrambled-over-report-tanker-and-cargo-ship-have-collided-in-north-sea-13325739

Hopefully a better outcome than the Pacific Gem one was in the Solent 1970.

They should invent something that tells you where other ships are: they could call it Radar. More importantly they could make sure that it's used!

There are several systems. AIS uses VHF to advertise your location and there are many trackers that you can access. Marine radar is fitted on all large vessels and maritime law mandates that a ship keeps a lookout for other vessels by all available means

Any vessel that doesn’t is trying to hide.

I used to think Trump was used as the inspiration for BTTF2:

Biff uses the profits from his 27-story casino... to help shake up the Republican Party, before eventually assuming political power himself, helping transform Hill Valley, California, into a lawless, dystopian wasteland, where hooliganism reigns, dissent is quashed, and wherein Biff encourages every citizen to call him "America's greatest living folk hero"

On the other hand, if you watch footage of him in the 80s/90s Trump seems to have a different public persona altogether. Feels strange writing this, but he was actually quite soft-spoken and measured back then. So I can only conclude that Trump watched the film and decided to get into character as Biff for the rest of his life.

Back to today, Musk accuses Ukraine of downing his stupid website. The Trump-friendly press do anything to keep the real news off the front pages.

True, but when you need 6 to 8% growth on your S&S ISAs to cover you until you draw your pension, now is quite important!

It depends how close you are to crystallising your funds. Alternatively you could look on this period as a good time to invest further. Or not. Do you feel lucky?

Absolutely. I've lost a big chunk recently, as have many people. I intend to do absolutely nothing, except invest when the new tax year begins if the market is still on its arse.

Trump doubles the tariff on Canadian steel and aluminium to 50%, the Governor of Ontario threatens to shut down the electrical supply to 1 1/2 million homes in north-western US.

With friends like Donnie, who needs enemies ?

Yeah, putting £40k in (for me and farm lady indoors) next month should hopefully get back some of those losses.

"Can you imagine Canada stooping so low as to use ELECTRICITY, that so affects the life of innocent people, as a bargaining chip and threat?" Says Trump.

The idiot says nowt when Israel do it to Gaza.

Fair play to Canada. Just cut them off, then stop rail access through Canada to Alaska.
