If it goes some way to stopping the war on reasonable terms and doesn't mean Ukraine have to capitulate entirely the whilst it's unedifying to treat your supposed friends like that, I'd probably take it over the war continuing. Lots of unknowns though and it depends what Russia would agree to.

sadoldgit Posted Friday at 08:51 Posted Friday at 08:51 It looks like the European leaders have all been working together to find a way to deal with Trump. Treat him as the petulant child he is. Offer him treats. Flatter him. Gently correct his misspeaks (lies). It would be quite funny if it weren’t so serious and there wasn’t so much at stake. I don’t often feel sorry for the Monarchy but I do feel for Charles in having to deal with another visit from Trump. The things one has to do for one’s country!

An interesting question Whelk and while they are all scumbags and the world would be a better place without them, I would have to decline your offer of the gun. If they didn’t exist there would be others like them to take their places. The problem we have is not these individuals, it is the people who support, enable them and give them the platform. As long as people vote for them in great numbers or give them any kind of credence we are stuffed. There would be no need for bullets if these people were treated as they should be and completely ignored. Sadly they manage to appeal to enough people to find themselves in a position of power and influence. Until we develop societies where these people’s actions and views are not acceptable to the vast majority we will continue to have to contend with the likes of Trump, Putin, Musk and the underlings like Tate, Robinson and Hopkins who do the groundwork for them. 1
