I’m not “pissing my pants”.

Whether he means what he says or not, the fact that he publically makes these threats does not help NATO’s position in the eyes of Russia, China and North Korea.

He has been saying it for years, it was being reported during his first term, it's nothing new.

Trump says he will stop the automatic right of citizenship for those born in the US to immigrant families. Almost certainly will never happen as it is a right enshrined in the 14th Amendment, and there is no way he would get a super-majority in both Houses, nor two thirds of State legislatures to support it.

Trump and Trudeau have history. During his previous Presidency they were having a phone conversation when Trudeau complained about US trade tariffs impacting Canada. In reply, referring to the War of 1812, Trump said "Didn't you guys burn down the White House ?".

Wasn't trudeau overheard at some leaders thing taking the piss out of Trump?

I mean he’s got to expect that and hard not to but think his stance on NATO is reasonable.

Quite possibly but it's really not the best thing to do when you are America's little brother and Trump is throwing his weight around. If Starmer had any sense he'd be properly sicking up to him to his face at least. It's just politics at the end of the day. Agree about NATO loads of countries got used to underspending and then having their share subsidised by America. Trump is right it's grossly unfair and each nation should pay their fair amount.

The rocket company led by Elon Musk has seen its valuation surge to about $350bn after his backing of Donald Trump in the US election. SpaceX, which also makes satellites, has been boosted by a share buyback of as much as $1.25bn (£1bn) of the company’s common shares at $185 apiece, according to an email to employees seen by Bloomberg. Mr Musk was a prominent backer of Mr Trump during the US election and will lead a new Department of Government Efficiency expected to reduce red tape for businesses. The valuation cements SpaceX’s status as the most valuable private start-up in the world, according to Bloomberg. Mr Musk’s businesses have seen an enormous boost since the US election, with Tesla shares up 65pc and close to a record high since the vote on November 5. The billionaire’s own wealth has soared to about $384bn (£301bn).

Donald Trump & MAGA. The Christmas present that keeps on giving.
