They way that his administration are also ignoring court orders is chilling. We also have posters here who believe that we should turn our backs on the European Court of Human Rights. People are being taken off of the streets in the US and being placed in jails in foreign counties without any recourse to a fair, judicial procedure. We still have people here who think it ok to deport people to Rwanda. Just let that sink in for a moment.

Gary Lineker took all kinds of shit for stating the fact that a certain type of rhetoric had parallels in Nazi Germany in the 1930’s. We have moved even further along that path since then but where is the outage? Trump, and to a lesser extent Farage, are both very skilled operators at normalising things that would have been dismissed as unacceptable a few years ago.

We clearly learn nothing from history.
