Mike Waltz, the National Security Advisor, is the person who "accidentally" invited Jeffrey Goldberg into the SIGNAL chat. Waltz says he does not know Goldberg, yet to add him into the chat he must have had his phone number listed in his contacts on his phone. ( Goldberg says they have met several times ). And now Elon Musk has been tasked with finding out how Goldberg happened to be included. I think our 5 year old Granddaughter could manage that.

Maybe one of Musk's pubescent DOGE agents could explain it to the group, perhaps using emoticons.

I was going to say I'm looking forward to Canada becoming the 51st State - based on population they should have slightly more electoral college votes than California and ensure the republicans never get elected again.  Republicans don't seem overly keen on democracy though so maybe it's not such a great idea (as well as being a bit unfair on Canada).

Usually it’s done to evade automatic copyright detection that would automatically flag it for removal on video sharing sites.

Sometimes it’s because the video capture reverses or rotates the video at record time (usually if it’s been recorded on a phone) so it displays correctly while it’s being recorded, and uses metadata to allow it to be played back later the same way. If the metadata gets lost at some point through the video being processed or uploaded, the video isn’t oriented to the correct way when it’s played.

Yes, by the Equality Act 2010 https://www.gov.uk/guidance/equality-act-2010-guidance

Additionally, the UK doesn’t have the same level history and notoriety for systematic racism of basic facilities within living memory, as the old Jim Crow laws in the South. To the extent the Civil Rights Act 1965 were needed nor Brown vs Topeka Education Board ruling 1954.

Entirely unnecessary and very racist as an action by Trump. But then we know the Trumps have form for this sort of thing in housing 1973-5.

The Equality Act is a general law. The law revoked was explicitly concerned with federal contractors.If you say I'm nitpicking that's just what the NPR article was doing.

That just leaves that symbolically it wasn't a good idea.

Oh, in that case it was probably engagement farming, using an image to get people to just start watching, in this case reversing the image used for the thumbnail of the video to imply that Americans didn't even recognise the world map being reversed in the video.

Senior Ukrainian officials told the outlet the proposal could undermine the country's sovereignty and ramp up its dependence on the US.

The draft reportedly states that the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund will control Ukraine’s “critical minerals or other minerals, oil, natural gas (including liquified [sic] natural gas), fuels or other hydrocarbons and other extractable materials”.

It says the US will also control infrastructure linked to natural resources “including, but not limited to, roads, rail, pipelines and other transportation assets; ports, terminals and other logistics facilities and refineries, processing facilities, natural gas liquefaction and/or regasification facilities and similar assets”.

The new draft mark a huge increase on Trump's demands in an initial minerals deal accord drawn up earlier this month."

ICE have started revoking people's visas without informing them, so that the first they know of it is when they are snatched off the street by ICE agents and shipped to an out of State prison, which means that they are denied any access to lawyers or due process, and their friends and families have no idea where they are.

Trump said a couple of days ago, after appointing his personal lawyer as the US Attorney for New Jersey, that he expected the Courts to go after "very bad people of crime". He also said he had pardoned a convicted fraudster because "he was one of the first people to support a gentleman called Donald Trump for President".

Having removed the Associated Press from the White House press corps, because they refused to refer to the Gulf of Mexico by another name, he has appointed in their place a right wing blogger who has received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Kremlin to parrot Russian propaganda.
