People say ‘he doesn’t do half the stuff he says’ but at some point he will and the uncertainty isn’t helping globally. It doesn’t exactly discourage Xi and his designs on Taiwan behaviourally either, nor Putin with half of the Baltic if he hadn’t reduced his armed forces and economy to rubble already,

Aye, we sure do. Entitlement/expectation/selfishness, etc, run deep.

They have always got so weirdly excitable about politics and elections p, both Democrats and Republicans . I mean good to show an interest but whooping and hollering naively thinking everything is going to be sorted by this joker. Be more cynical like us Brits

they're like that about everything. I have the misfortune to work at an American company and company all hands calls are beyond pathetic with them all falling over each other to say how awesome everything is. We all went to Vegas for a company kick off a couple of years ago and it was horrific, whooping and shouting it was beyond pathetic.

Sad to see a once great nation swear in a convicted sex offender into the highest office in the land. No doubt the irony will be lost on Musk.

It’s not until September but I’m already dreading the Ryder Cup over there. Europe fans can be vocal as well but not hollering ‘USA, USA’ everywhere and shouting ‘Get in the Hole’ at every par 3 when one of their players tees off. Their spectators started the trend of cheering opponents going in water and bunkers which a small minority of Europe’s more idiot spectators replicate in the home matches. Great when Colin Montgomerie used to always win and give it back.
It was superb when the late, great Payne Stewart faced down some of the idiots in the galleries and said ‘Colin’s my friend, when you insult my friends I have a problem with you and I will kick you off the course’. Takes a class act like that to take a stand. Stewart played it hard but fair, way it should be.

They will even go demented when De Chambreau launches 375 yards off the tee. Being America no rough to contend with.

It’s at Bethpage this year as well, so will attract the twats from New York, basically the worst of American fans. But they’re everywhere. I still remember Medinah 2012 when on day 3 some cretin shouted ‘Fuck you Seve’ very loud on tv after a European shot (Seve had died in 2011 and the Europeans wore his logo, and the US team were especially deferential to our teams remembrance). Classless prats in the fans though.

The Masters may be completely up their own arses but they run a tight ship when it comes to keeping your average loud American far away from being able to ruin things for everyone else simply by opening his massive gob.

Trump is to pull the US back out of the Paris climate accord. This places them alongsie Iran, Libya, and Yemen, as the only countries not signed up to it.

Be ye known by the company you keep.

Our company do was in Orlando and not Florida but otherwise it sounds similar to yours. Everyone was SO EXCITED to be there.

The company had a Scottish name. We were all therefore "Scattish" and were presented with kilts. The best moment was in the Disney resort nightclub when some of us drunken louts in our kilts sang along to Elton John's Rocket man using the word Scottish instead of Rocket. That was fun. 😁😁

A great speech by the leader of the western world. How entertaining it is, to watch the lefty socialists falling over each other to distance themselves for their past comments. A pity that I have chosen not to read the comments on here, from those on ignore. I bet the morons are frothing at the mouth.

I bet you are pissed as a fart.

Do you believe that people who violently assaulted Police officers and ransacked the Capitol, chanting for the Vice-President to be hanged, in an attempt to overturn the result of a democratic election, should all be pardoned and the slate wiped clean ?

Your "Leader of the Western World" is trying to turn the "Land of the Free" into a dictatorship - one of his stooges was even giving Nazi salutes from the podium at his rally.

Jesus Christ. Only Day 1 and it feels like 4 years already. Roll on 2029, but it will seem like an eternity as the Trump/Musk brown nosers/apologists metaphorically knock one out every time one of their heroes makes another statement echoing the very things their country fought against in the 20th century. We are in a tin pot dictator sandwich. Trump on one side, Putin in the other.

Serious question SOG why do you post?

all you do is either post links to about 3 different news sources, rant about the far right or call anyone who disagrees with you names or make digs often completely unprovoked

Most people on here offer something to this place whereas you offer literally nothing. Even in the past when you used to preach piously you at least offered an opinion even if most laughed at it or rolled their eyes, “here he goes again” These days you’ve become a joke. You can’t even have a discussion with you as it very quickly ending up with you ranting or playing the victim soon as things don’t go your way. Even the threads you start with have potential are thinly veiled digs at other posters.

you aren’t winning saintsweb, if you’re trying to be a wind up merchant you’re failing spectacularly, if you think your endless links are “gotcha” moments you’re completely wrong. I don’t really get why you devote so much of your life to something you offer so little too. It’s all a bit tragic

Faith in a Christian God is what made this country great. The collective loss of our deep rooted beliefs is what has led to our decline. At some point, everyone needs faith. With the state of our "multi-cultural" nation, it is all we have the cling to. Hopefully our church will offer leadership, although I doubt it. I'm certain we don't get it from those we elect.

I shall reserve judgement on what Trump does. A lot of what he said written as his intentions can only be considered good. But like so many leaders, let us wait and see how much he actually does.  (as has been said by the nay-sayers, 5 years until we can be sure)

Faith that led to multiple religious persecutions and a civil war. A divided Church created to grant a King the right to divorce a wife he no longer wanted, yet that he recanted on his death bed.

And these days the Church gives the sort of example whereby multiple sex offenders against children are effectively granted immunity.

I wonder what it is about Trump that appeals to a man like GM. Does he like the fact that Trump is a convicted sexual molester? Was it his comment about grabbing women by the pussy? Does GM idolise other sexual predators such as Rolf Harris and Jimmy Saville? Is it the blatant lies that Trump tells? Is it the sycophancy of the likes of Musk and Zuckerberg that appeals to GM?

All very strange... Unless like his hero GM is a complete narcissist. I suspect that is at the root of GM's idolatry.

CofE isn’t the same as Christian beliefs. If everyone lived by the principles of the gospel, society would be very decent.  Luckily MLG no longer posts highlighting Leviticus and Numbers about how evil God is.
Closest I will ever agree with GM on anything I’m sure
