Looking to build a very expensive new stadium, replace current Manager and invest in new players?

 

Wonder if the recent news about the owner having problems getting a new visa is just paper trail delay or something more significant which could affect the flow of funds into the club?

I suppose it will depend whether the owner gets an entry visa. If he is denied entry to the UK on a permanent basis, I can't imagine he will have much interest in remaining Chelsea owner.

After the ' Salisbury incident' one would imagine any friend of Putin laundering money in this country may have trouble.

It would explain comments from the parents of young youth players from this area trialling at the Cobham training ground, and when checking in seeing dozens of Russian speaking accountants in the office building.

Football finance expert on Radio 4 this morning was saying that Abramovic selling up would not be a problem for Chelsea. They are one of the top 5 most desirable clubs in the world and wealthy foreign concerns would be queueing up to buy them.
