Stud mark of doom Posted 18 May, 2018 Share Posted 18 May, 2018 Well, sticking Gabi on for a centre back has to be right up there in my opinion. What are the others that spring to mind? Super Ken for Dia? Against us, the one I remember is Kevin Philips on his return for Brum. Dogs abuse for what seemed like 15 mins while he warms up. Jogs on. Scores. John Boy Saint Posted 18 May, 2018 Share Posted 18 May, 2018 Can only be one: 17 years ago tomorrow likeable chap comes on, showing a few added pounds, moments later the ball comes to him just on the edge of the box, where he does what he had been doing for years, spins, hitting the ball sweet as a nut on the volley past the flapping keeper, who has no chance. Bang Saints 3 Arsenal 2.........grown men reduced to tears.

Rickie is definitely in there if we're allowed to include matches not involving Saints, but is it allowed? What about Le Tiissier coming on vs Wimbledon in 1999? shurlock Posted 18 May, 2018 Share Posted 18 May, 2018 Like others, MLT's winner against Arsenal. Remember buzzing for the next 24hrs and absolutely destroying an exam I had the following day. jawillwill Posted 19 May, 2018 Share Posted 19 May, 2018 Saints v Leicester earlier this season. Saints 4-1 down after 80 minutes. Last throw of the dice for some creativity to spark a memorable come back. Step up James Ward-Prowse on for Dusan Tadic. The rest is history. I think it was the game Davis and Baird got into a little scuffle towards the end as well. 3-0 up....almost threw it away.

But he was always going to come on as a substitute to say farewell to the Dell. Changed the game undoubtedly but not surprising sub to come on.
