Cabbage_Face Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Don't quote the ****. 90% of us have him on ignore. He's getting desperate for attention. Sorry. I’ll refrain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
whelk Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 When did ‘foot race’ become a thing? As opposed to what?
Batman Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 (edited) None of this happened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited 10 July, 2018 by Batman
iansums Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Another England v Belgium reserve team game on Saturday? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cabbage_Face Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Lukaku turning up for a big game again then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wrensup Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 When did ‘foot race’ become a thing? As opposed to what? Since the invention of vehicles, and riding a horse?
Cabbage_Face Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 So now that’s done, it’s our turn. Hope we win, we could give France a good game. Whatever the result tomorrow, this side has made me interested in English National Side and done a cracking job considering the age. It’s coming home? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
vectraman Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 As we are the away side tomorrow, and Croatia play in red and white shirts, what kit are England wearing?
Cabbage_Face Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Never got the fuss about Belgium, good player ****e manager. Only good result they had was vs a very weak defensively Brazil. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
waylander Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 As we are the away side tomorrow, and Croatia play in red and white shirts, what kit are England wearing? All white
Lets B Avenue Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 As we are the away side tomorrow, and Croatia play in red and white shirts, what kit are England wearing? All white. They have to change as their red and white clashes with both of ours.
Lets B Avenue Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 When did ‘foot race’ become a thing? As opposed to what? Egg and Spoon?
shurlock Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 We'll beat France France much better than England but anything can happen on the day. Croatia first up.
angelman Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 There was me thinking Belgium were going to go all the way. Shows that I know absolutely zilch about football.
S-Clarke Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Always fancied france to go far tbh. They're not the most explosive team, which is a surprise given the players they have, but they're very resolute and effective in the moments they need to be. Tactically astute team and very, very difficult to break through. Bobby just didn't have any real idea how to effect it.
Cabrone Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Frogs look a complete team, if England get past Croatia they have a puncher's chance. Hang on and land a knockout blow at the death is England's best hope. However got to get past Croatia first, a real 50:50 for me.
shurlock Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Brilliant mate. Got a massive promotion at work inbound. It’s just a football game. Chill out dude Congrats. What next - a Michelin star?
Lets B Avenue Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Congrats. What next - a Michelin star? Beat me to it. I was thinking Sous Chef.
Cabbage_Face Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Batman, ignore the haters. I personally love your Big Macs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Batman Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Haha. It’s weird how you go on as if it is a dig. Chefs are pretty well respected at work. Most could not and would not do their job Each to their own. But carry on as miles off what i really do and where I work. Which is good news. So cheers
whelk Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Since the invention of vehicles, and riding a horse? I love it when a player charges down the wing on a horse leaving the poor full back with just his feet way behind.
waylander Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 France much better than England but anything can happen on the day. Croatia first up. Exactly so. I've been following Saints long enough to recall some unlikely wins that we've pulled out when very few gave us a chance. 1976 for example?
sadoldgit Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 There was me thinking Belgium were going to go all the way. Shows that I know absolutely zilch about football. Me too. So much quality in the team. But Lukaku and De Bruyne were below par tonight. Had they been been on form I think they would have done it. Fair play to the French though, the did a job on Belgium and defended very well. Croatia will be tough. No point in thinking about France just yet!
alehouseboys Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 That night in 1990 still hurts, it's time to put it right. Don't let us down.
vince Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 Is there any button on the controller which turns Danny Murphy off? Absolute dullard and for a former player, not very insightful. Oh, and a dullard. Dullard dullard dullard. I believe that if you use the red button on BBC, you can have Radio 5 Live commentary with the game instead.
alehouseboys Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 I believe that if you use the red button on BBC, you can have Radio 5 Live commentary with the game instead. Isn't there an option for no commentary as well, just the noise of the crowd?
Sheaf Saint Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 France were incredibly well organised at the back tonight and gave Belgium very little in the way of chances despite their possession. When you consider the attacking talent Belgium have in Hazard and De Bruyne, and a finisher like Lukaku, snuffing out their threat is no mean feat. Add in the explosive pace of Mbappe on the break and they will be very hard to beat in the final, and would be worthy winners of the cup IMO.
shurlock Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 I believe that if you use the red button on BBC, you can have Radio 5 Live commentary with the game instead. As long as Guy Mowbray is nowhere near the commentary box.

Think despite all the snappy play Belgium were so desperate to score they lost any finesse that their individuals were capable of De Brunye looked at times like he just done the broom race with his shooting and passing towards the end.

That last ball for Lukaku was a peach, though.
jasonb Posted 10 July, 2018 Posted 10 July, 2018 That last ball for Lukaku was a peach, though. Nowhere near as close but reminded me of Gascoigne's lunge for that cross in Euro '96. I felt Lukaku should have thrown himself at that ball as Gazza did all those years ago.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 After watching France last night, i think football wont be coming home now, it will get stuck on the other side of the channel
scotty Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 I haven't felt this nervous about a semi since I watched Brokeback Mountain.
trousers Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 An ambulance was also damaged on Borough High Street. #bantz https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/woman-filmed-dancing-ambulance-after-12891840
edprice1984 Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 Ever since the final whistle on Saturday, I have felt confident and calm. Until this morning. Woke up and immediately felt nerves and butterfly's. Almost exactly the same feeling as the Swansea game in May. How can football do this to someone!?

Almost exactly the same feeling as the Swansea game in May. How can football do this to someone!? Same here. I keep trying to rationalise things by reminding myself that we've already got further than anyone hoped or predicted and, as such, winning tonight is just a bonus, but the rest of my molecules aren't interested in such pragmatisim and are pumping away as if this is the most important game in the world ever....
sadoldgit Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 That last ball for Lukaku was a peach, though. It was! It seemed to surprise Lukaku. I think someone like Kane would have made more of an effort to get his head on the end of it. It was screaming out for a diving header. When Mertens came on he put some great crosses into the box but Lukaku didn’t get a sniff.
hypochondriac Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 Kane almost nailed on for the Golden Boot now which is a great achievement.
Cabbage_Face Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 I hope we win! Will be a nervous wreck unless we go 3 up or 2 down. If, big IF, we get into the final, not sure ill cope. My head will go.

Cabbage_Face Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 I have fond memories of a Walcott hat-trick ... Lets hope for a Sterling one. If Sterling turns up, we go through.
Sheaf Saint Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 Lets hope for a Sterling one. If Sterling turns up, we go through. If he could just learn to pass to a team-mate who is in a better position to score, it would drastically improve our chances. I was quite literally screaming at the TV on saturday when he looked up, saw Kane in space inside the box, and then tried to turn back outside and lost the ball. Such an infuriating player.
scotty Posted 11 July, 2018 Posted 11 July, 2018 Just saw a bloke in a Croatia top. I asked where in Croatia he was from, he said "Glasgow."
