Big Harry Maguire has looked v good again. Expect the top 6 will be sniffing around after the WC

Two shocking passes in the first half would've cost us goals against a better team.

Brave new England. Not a lot different from the old pedestrian geriatric England to be honest.

Bertrand must be chewing the furniture watching Young here.

how has he stayed on the pitch? Not once has he gone down the line and turned his man, always cutting in/going back.

one decent cross all game

get in. Nice to get off with a win

didnt think we played that well but should have had at least 1 penalty and deserved the win

Deserved to win, but didn't really look very good to be honest. Doesn't really inspire me for the tougher tests to come.

BBC panel seem to have forgotten how dire England were for 44 minutes of the second half.

old jug ears saying it was an exceptional performance...

Young and Sterling. Complete garbage.

100% Correct. Playing a right footer at left wing back is dumb. Opposition know they won’t get skinned down the line. Toss decision not taking Bertrand. Sterling total cr*p. Rashford deserved to start rather then him on past performance.

Tunisia utter cheats, disgusting. Ref was a mess. Well deserved, we were excellent first half. If only Lingard, sterling and Dia has Kane’s composure.

We were good for the first 30 mins and should have been 3 up then it was poor not helped by the way Tunisia played just about edged it in the end.

Should have had 3 goals at least in the first 20 minutes. Plus that penalty given Tunisia was complete junk. Tunisia was virtually tackling players all match long, and then the ref gives that bump a penalty? Tunisia got the result they deserved to get, didn't even try to score.

Seems strange that Kane was assaulted in the box and it was just ignored. Didn't see the foul for their penalty but can't imagine it was any worse. Or am I wrong?

Sterling the enigma. Takes on players when he shouldn’t and doesn’t when he should. Frustrating player, has so much potential.

sounds like you are talking about Redmond.

Bloody hell how good was Maguire? He won't be at Leicester for long. Only Tunisia but totally in control at the back (except for one mistake early on) and was our most attacking threat most of the game! Also winning everything in the air. Thought him and Stones were both very good.

Ashley Young though. Shouldn't ever receive money for playing football. People like him should need to pay weekly subs and registration fee in order to play this game, yet he gets picked for his national side and receives millions from his club. Amazing.

Thought we played alright, had to deal with a really nasty, niggly Tunisia team. Clearly very limited, so they had to resort to other methods.

Harry Kane just scores goals. One of the best strikers in world football without question, Spurs did well to sign him up on a 6 year contract. (Although we know how much they mean...).

Big negatives for me were Sterling and Young, really, really rubbish. Young especially. Raises more questions as to why Ryan was left at home to be honest.

But get the next game out of the way against a pretty non-team, and we're onto the next stage.

Lucky lucky. Maguire completely out of his depth, walker out of position, and stones unreliable. Our attack is fast but flatters to deceive. If we make it to the quarters it will be because Kane drags us there.

A win but it was Tunisia so can't get carried away

Yeah, they were poor. But they weren't going to make it easy, we had to navigate a very nasty 2nd half against a horrible team, they were probably marginally better than Algeria who we couldn't beat in 2010. Wes tuck at it though, didn't get sucked into a lull and the manager actually made positive changes which altered the game.

Maguire certainly wasn't out of his depth.............
