Colinjb Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 So, who is our defence right now, as I understand it we have no CB's on. Poortvliet is either working a masterstroke, or he has lost the plot. I reckon its probably the former.
Bakovnetski Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Armstrong reckoned Donnie's defence was dubious....where does this change leave ours. Beyond belief IMO. This has a 2-0 home defeat look about it.
Ponty Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Well, for once I agree with the subs. We might as well lose 5-0 as 1-0 and this gives us a chance to get at them.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Great in theory, whether we have the funds is another matter. dont pay em
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 my source has confirmed we will win 2-1
Gingeletiss Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 I'd do it on the cheap.......better than what I'm doing now;)
VectisSaint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 TDD, this tactic will NOT work for us, since Lowe would bring in someone evern cheaper...ahem...worse. Its difficult to imagine even Lowe could find anyone worse than JP, unless he took over himself. OK, see what you mean.
Colinjb Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 my source has confirmed we will win 2-1 My source tells me he will bring on a fan that he heard shouting abuse saying how crap he was. He will then go on to score the winner.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 What the hell did Jan say to this lot at HT? They seem as if they have already given up on this game.
Colinjb Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Its difficult to imagine even Lowe could find anyone worse than JP, unless he took over himself. OK, see what you mean. Don't even joke about that.
Ponty Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Delap scores against Chelsea, lay off by Beatts.
bridge too far Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Old boys doing well - Delap to Beattie - Stoke 1 Chelsea 0
Thedelldays Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 just got a text from a mate at the game...the group he is with are actually laughing at the team...they are that **** poor and dont seem to know where they are supposed to be playing now if this is not evidence enough that jan is out of his depth..i dont know what is
Snowballs2 Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 The team selected should be good enough to win the game, the manager and tactics must be changed. Will Lowe make the decision that needs to be made?...NO WAY!
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Delap scores against Chelsea, lay off by Beatts. The footballing gods are actually taking the **** arn't they?!
saint lard Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 According to Solent the back 3 have not got a clue as to what they are supposed to be doing ,either as a unit or individually.
Ponty Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 we should have signed Lee Trundle! We tried. He'd sworn not to move anywhere at the time. I think he's transferred twice since then.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 just got a text from a mate at the game You have a mate??
Saint Martini Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 What the hell did Jan say to this lot at HT? They seem as if they have already given up on this game. Keep it going the goal will come?
SoccerMom Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Just got back after leaving at half time - nipper complaining of a headache and wants to be well to play tomorrow. Gobstruck from minute one. Can't understand why BWP was on the left and Holmes on the right. Both struggling to stay wide. You really couldn't make it up - conspiracy theory, anyone?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 We tried. He'd sworn not to move anywhere at the time. I think he's transferred twice since then. on loan at leeds, scored today - surely hes too good for league 1?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 You really couldn't make it up - conspiracy theory, anyone? why would some1 want us to lose?
bridge too far Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 on loan at leeds, scored today - surely hes too good for league 1? Like us
Lunatic Fridge Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Teams who have changed their manager all appear to be winning - now what a surprise. And Delap has scored for Stoke - seem to recall great judges of footballers on this site continually abusung the guy. Now one of the most feared players in the Prem! We're now a club of Donkeys run by Donkeys.
N/West Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 why would some1 want us to lose? Lowe so that he can buy us on the cheap
Thedelldays Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 well..at least spurs are now bottom of the league
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 we should get Fuller on loan from Stoke
Ponty Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Teams who have changed their manager all appear to be winning - now what a surprise. And Delap has scored for Stoke - seem to recall great judges of footballers on this site continually abusung the guy. Now one of the most feared players in the Prem! We're now a club of Donkeys run by Donkeys. Erm... To put it in perspective, Stoke are 2 points off bottom in their league should results stay as they are. I like a bit of nostalgia about a team full of our former players but let's not get carried away.
brightspark Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 We're now a club of Donkeys run by Donkeys. Losing to Doncaster didn't start that. We have been donkeys run by donkeys ever since Lowe came in and Pearson went out!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Lowe so that he can buy us on the cheap doubt it
alpine_saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 You really couldn't make it up - conspiracy theory, anyone? Its as plausible a theory as any. Putting Holmes on the right and BWP on the left - I thought Burley was back for a minute.....
Gingeletiss Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Chants of 'we want Rupert out'........lol, he's on holiday.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Its as plausible a theory as any. Putting Holmes on the right and BWP on the left - I thought Burley was back for a minute..... You wish....
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 We ain't going to get anything from this game now.
Thedelldays Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 norwich 2-0 up.... what a complete joke... i am actually getting angry now
brightspark Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 I think there would be a big knock on effect to the footballing world if Charlton, Saints and Derby were to get relegated. It would really open peoples eyes up to the struggles of relegated clubs...
Ponty Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Blimey. That team was competitive and few would have altered it by more than one player. All the pundits said we ****ed the first half on quality. The goal was offside.
TijuanaTim Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Shooting practice required - many efforts off target. Let's shoot between those white things boys.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 I was wrong.......Burley did a good job! Bournemouth Saint was right (as normal) finally.....
Bromley Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Super strike by Saga - super save though
buctootim Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Blimey. That team was competitive and few would have altered it by more than one player. All the pundits said we ****ed the first half on quality. The goal was offside. That wont stop the hysterics blaming someone.
Bromley Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Super strike by Smith - super save again though
adelaide saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 So, who is our defence right now, as I understand it we have no CB's on. Poortvliet is either working a masterstroke, or he has lost the plot. I reckon its probably the former. Speaking of losing the plot i think im well on the way I just do not understand how we are losing this game with the relative quality we have :confused: I want to break one or many things
Saint Martini Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Blimey. That team was competitive and few would have altered it by more than one player. All the pundits said we ****ed the first half on quality. The goal was offside. That's way to rational for this messageboard. Good chances to Saga and Smith, lets keep going and we'll get something from this match.
alpine_saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Blimey. That team was competitive and few would have altered it by more than one player. All the pundits said we ****ed the first half on quality. The goal was offside. So what if it was ? We ****ed the first half but didnt score. We fielded a strong team and didnt score. If we cannot score goals, we cannot win games, or protect ourselves from being victim of the regular sort of ****-ups that result from the sub-standard refereeing this League gets. We are LOSING to DONCASTER ROVERS. I repeat : We are LOSNG to DONCASTER ROVERS.
