Saint86 Posted 17 July, 2018 Share Posted 17 July, 2018 Lol the mistake you are making is that one person posting or even two or three posting is not a representation of our fan base. Muppet. I'm sorry, am I not allowed to say, "the muppets in our fanbase"? Do you not understand that phrase? I didn't call our fanbase muppets, i called those that discriminate against a particular race muppets. In spite of the obvious case that the south americans include some of the world's greatest players? Maybe you disagree with that as well? Or Fred, do you seriously think that we are different to all other clubs and include no moron fans, and that as a fanbase we are all perfect little saints? Either learn to read or don't misquote people. You make yourself look like a moron or a bell end otherwise. Sadly you do appear to be someone who takes umbridge at any imagined slight and uses it as a good enough reason to insult them on a web forum. Oh and by the way Fred, its fecking obvious to most football fans that you should approach all transfers on a player by player basis. The alternative approach would be something like west ham saying they won't sign any African players etc. Summer (and a rare decent one at that), has clearly gone on too long for you. May I suggest you stay away from the keyboard until August comes around okay?

Professor Posted 18 July, 2018 Share Posted 18 July, 2018 With The Telegraph saying that Arsenal are likely to let Welbeck leave, wonder if our people are looking at him. Only one year left on his contract so the fee for a player who can leave for nothing next year shouldn't be prohibitive. Would depend on which other clubs were to show an interest. Any whispers? SuperSAINT Posted 18 July, 2018 Author Share Posted 18 July, 2018 Player west ham have messed up. Too many changes, shifted him around, different managers and styles. He's a simple direct runner, great pace decent finisher and good in the air. Think we could really get the best out of him. We have good technical players, clever players but we might need someone more direct. Him and Mo either flank would be a great combination. Plus we'd have another goalscorer on the pitch. Suddenly with Mo, Armstrong and Antonio behind the striker you'd have scoring options all over. I'd far rather sign Antonio and stick with our strikers than take a punt on another expensive but average forward. Antonio isn't the worst shout I've heard, for all the reasons mentioned. tajjuk Posted 18 July, 2018 Share Posted 18 July, 2018 Going to Palace by all accounts, with him and Zaha they will trouble a lot of teams. Decent goal record for West Ham in the league, 20 in 76 for a guy who is mainly a winger and has had to have spells playing at full back. As a comparison Tadic scored 20 in 134 in comparison playing a similar position. I think a bit too old and injury prone for our usual level of transfer. But personally would take him because he offers goals, pace and power that we lack.

doddisalegend Posted 18 July, 2018 Share Posted 18 July, 2018 22 days to go until the window shuts wonder how much more business we will do? I still have the feeling the club would like to off load a few to trim the squad its just about finding someone who will actually take the likes of Forster, Boufal, Clasie, Davies and Long. Its looking hopeful on the players we all thought we might lose Bertrand, Cedric, Lemina and I guess the closer to the window the less chance we will sell (well you'd hope so anyway). I'm not convinced we will see anymore arrivals being optimistic perhaps one more before the window?
SuperSAINT Posted 18 July, 2018 Author Share Posted 18 July, 2018 Wouldn't surprise me if Lookman was an alternate option for Elyounoussi.
