The9 Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 (edited) There's been nothing to share of note... but finally an Under Armour shirt has been launched for next season, so there's something to speculate about... though it won't be for long, they usually launch something soon. AZ Alkmaar home for 2018/19.... Apart from that, the only other "new" UA shirts are our third, which may as well be a t-shirt... And Villa's "after the season started" third, which is the same style as their away, but has a different collar to anything we've worn. Feel free to merge with the hundreds of other kit threads that have no doubt popped up in my absence... UTFS. Edited 6 May, 2018 by The9
BILLY Posted 7 May, 2018 Posted 7 May, 2018 The thing is this season fans are more concerned with what league we’ll be playing in next season rather than what kit we’ll be wearing..... I loved this seasons retro kit but it hasn’t proved very lucky!
Batman Posted 7 May, 2018 Posted 7 May, 2018 I reckon we will go for the premier league traditional all red kit. More of a nod to when we were on the way up in that league
CB Fry Posted 7 May, 2018 Posted 7 May, 2018 I'd like us to stick with variations of the wide stripe kit for a few years and try and establish that as our look, but I'm guessing we won't so it'll be back to our standard stripes which are fine but obviously more generic. Maybe something like our thick striped own-label kit from 1999ish. Didn't really like it much at the time but now looks like a design with potential for revival.

SuperSAINT Posted 7 May, 2018 Posted 7 May, 2018 If it's like most things at the club, we probably forgot to organise anything & left it too late to have a new kit.
aintforever Posted 7 May, 2018 Posted 7 May, 2018 I expect Les is dithering other wether to have thin or thick stripes, we will miss the deadline and play in bin bags up until next March and look great for the last few games.
Chewy Posted 7 May, 2018 Posted 7 May, 2018 We'll probably find out that our contract with under armour (like Toby's loan deal) isn't as water tight as we thought. They'll bin us off and we'll have no money and no kit. I'm mostly saying that tongue in cheek but with our board you never know ...

Under Armour could not possibly want its two English teams, us and Villa, to not be in the top division. I would have thought that Virgin Media will be looking for an out as well.

I would have thought that Virgin Media will be looking for an out as well. From last month: ”Aston Villa can confirm that the club and its technical partner, Under Armour, have mutually decided to end their relationship. The global sports apparel and footwear brand has provided performance matchday kits and training wear for Aston Villa for the past two seasons. The club would like to thank Under Armour for their support over the past two years and would like to wish them all the best for the future. An announcement on a new technical partner will follow in due course.”
aintforever Posted 7 May, 2018 Posted 7 May, 2018 I’m trying to think of something I give less of a sh!t about than what kit were going to ponce around the championship in next season...
Batman Posted 7 May, 2018 Posted 7 May, 2018 I’m trying to think of something I give less of a sh!t about than what kit were going to ponce around the championship in next season... The size of stripe and how many are important.

saint lard Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 The black design is gorgeous imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Matthew Le God Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 (edited) Is that real? No, they say on each picture they are created by @conceptkits https://twitter.com/conceptkits Their bio says... Established in June 2016, this football page creates kit designs at your request, the first to do so. Please credit reused work. Featured in several newspapers. So just someone having fun designing kits on request on Twitter. Not the real kits, an amateur designer with photoshop is all it takes. Edited 10 May, 2018 by Matthew Le God
Saint Garrett Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 Don't think the home shirt can be, as I'm pretty sure we can't have a striped back anymore? Black one is lovely. Would like to see a yellow option in there rather than the blue one though personally.
mrfahaji Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 If it's like most things at the club, we probably forgot to organise anything & left it too late to have a new kit. Hopefully, love our kit this season. Was worried it would be associated with relegation but fingers crossed it won't be now.
Pamplemousse Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 Blocked that concept kits account ages ago. If I'm right, it's run by someone who is a complete and utter moron. He liked to bully little kids too, odd guy. Not sure if it's him though or someone else I'm thinking of.

Chez Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 as usual I'd like to request that we revert to navy shorts.
suewhistle Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 I'm going to wait for The9's input again. He's been a bit quiet!
Jimmy_D Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 I can see us sticking with something similar to the current design. Stripes don't work so well with the rules meaning striped backs are banned.
stevegrant Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 I can see us sticking with something similar to the current design. Stripes don't work so well with the rules meaning striped backs are banned. I guess you could take that striped design and just remove the middle red stripe on the back - think that would probably be OK for the kit regulations.
Pamplemousse Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 I just hope we go for a white plain back instead of red.
Saint Albert Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 The black design is gorgeous imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I really like the black design too. It will never happen. Saints and UnderArmour: please make it happen.
Stoozer Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 I'd like to see a blue away version of our current home kit (oh, and I'd like to revert to navy shorts).
cf saint Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 Easy and nice option would just be to swap the designs/colours of the home and away kits from this year - so the away is basically the 80s away kit.
sebastian firefly Posted 10 May, 2018 Posted 10 May, 2018 http://mail.footballshirtculture.com/17/18-Kits/colo-colo-2018-under-armour-home-kit.html similar collar to the AZ shirt
danjosaint Posted 11 May, 2018 Posted 11 May, 2018 Love all 3 esp the black but would rather blue was yellow/navy
Harold K Steptoe Posted 11 May, 2018 Posted 11 May, 2018 This Was supposed to be my response to Trousers question of my source
Supersubpuckett Posted 11 May, 2018 Posted 11 May, 2018 the black kit is a little too 'third reich' for me
Pilchards Posted 11 May, 2018 Posted 11 May, 2018 The ****ier the kit the better we play. I would be happy with brown patches on a pink background.
Saint86 Posted 11 May, 2018 Posted 11 May, 2018 The ****ier the kit the better we play. I would be happy with brown patches on a pink background. I take it you loathed the VEHO red and white kit under Koeman then?

Crystal Palace have a nice slash on their kit.
Wade Garrett Posted 11 May, 2018 Posted 11 May, 2018 Just stick with the home kit we have. Would like the away one to be a similar design in yellow and blue.
Wes Tender Posted 11 May, 2018 Posted 11 May, 2018 Since Sunderland went down and Stoke have followed them this season, at least there are two fewer red and white striped kits
bender Posted 15 May, 2018 Posted 15 May, 2018 http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11698/11367528/new-football-kits-premier-league-strips-for-the-201819-season kits for other PL teams... presuming they will update this consistently. although- can I point out that despite not being mathematically confirmed, Sky Sports have put us in this and all the other guaranteed clubs for next year You'd have to be a total mug to be a Man City fan buying the new shirt every year. Their new effort is practically the same as 2 seasons earlier.

Never liked or understood putting collars and buttons on football shirts, personally.
