RedArmy Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 Was it a West Brom miracle that sent us down last time? Not really. But they did get an unexpected late season 1-0 win at old Trafford along the way. For those looking for 2005 parallels.
Pamplemousse Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 Doesn’t make a blind but of difference to how Chelsea set up Weds. If they win tomorrow they’ll kick off Weds 2 points behind spurs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk And Liverpool still won't be sure either of a top four spot if Chelsea beat them, although you'd be surprised if they didn't beat Brighton on the final day.
saintsmike25 Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 Swansea looked poor today. Lacked spark - i'd be surprised if we failed to get a point against them. We have two games where six points is possible, any point against Man City is a bonus.
OttawaSaint Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 Brom’s winner a ridiculous pinball scrambled effort. Might have been an own goal.
Jimmy_D Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 Assuming we win today... No, minimum we have to do to have any chance of staying up is two draws, which barring a hefty (albeit not impossible) goal difference swing takes West Brom out of the running.
Bad Wolf Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 Not really. But they did get an unexpected late season 1-0 win at old Trafford along the way. For those looking for 2005 parallels. Pretty sure that it was 1-1 that day. The day we got the late equaliser at Palace. I remember watching it and my heart sinking when I came back from the toilet and my dad's friend told me WBA had a penalty.
Doctoroncall Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 That is assuming Swansea don’t win in their next two games. They will fancy their chances with Bournemouth and Saints I would have thought They have been awful last six games, now seven. Basically since they got themselves out of trouble they have changed tact to defend the points gap but it hasn’t worked for them. Hopefully they will continue to be in disarray.
Batman Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 Watford were awarded an utterly daft penalty. Noble scored a beauty for West Ham
Batman Posted 5 May, 2018 Posted 5 May, 2018 In other news, Fergie is in intensive care. Emergency brain surgery apparently
Shroppie Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Huddersfield had a few good chances and could be leading although City look like wearing them down. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
SaintBobby Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 I've put £50 on a Man City-Huddersfield 0-0 draw at 22/1
Saint Albert Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Fulham will be playing Derby in the playoffs after losing to Birmingham today.
Batman Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Bolton score twice at the death to win and save themselves from the drop
nta786 Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 I've put £50 on a Man City-Huddersfield 0-0 draw at 22/1 Where have you seen those odds?!?
DT Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Huddersfield have parked a massive bus. And are getting the luck we don't have Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
striker Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Huddersfield have parked a massive bus. And are getting the luck we don't have Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk yep, I think I just counted 14 Hudders players parked behind the ball
Batman Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 If hudds get a point will make. It not winning yesterday not so much a big deal.
DT Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 If hudds get a point will make. It not winning yesterday not so much a big deal. Um. What? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Where have you seen those odds?!? At the Heisen-bet pretend betting shop of course. ***cheeky insurance bet placed
OttawaSaint Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Um. What? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Star Wars quote I think. The little dude with the hair and pointy ears.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 If hudds get a point will make. It not winning yesterday not so much a big deal. Are you all there? One of the most ridiculous statements ever made on here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
DT Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 City are playing terribly. It's our year, unfortunately. Everything conspiring against us, not least incompetence for 90% of the season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saints foreva Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Haha so much for Huddersfield not getting another point this season...
SaintBobby Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Where have you seen those odds?!? Betfair Exchange...staretd at 26/1, but i only placed the bet after 10 minutes of the game elapsing
Maggie May Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Sterling's last gasp winner Watford's handball goal Everton's goal yesterday Three results which will see us go down. We won't beat Swansea and City WILL tonk us, despite Huddersfield's efforts today.
Pamplemousse Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Annoying, but on the other hand, maybe we do have a chance of getting something against them on the final day after all...
OttawaSaint Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Sterling's last gasp winner Watford's handball goal Everton's goal yesterday Three results which will see us go down. We won't beat Swansea and City WILL tonk us, despite Huddersfield's efforts today. I would say that those that you listed were not why we go down. Dreary ****ty draws vs Huddy, Brighton, Swansea and all those crappy teams will be what sunk us.
SaintAndy14 Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 This is getting very worrying...What are City doing?? Mike Dean halfheartedly telling Pritchard to walk off quicker and then laughing about it again - what a disgraceful ref.
DT Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 They are defending exactly how we won't Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 So the Huddy not getting another point theory has fallen at the first hurdle.
DT Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Tireless running. 100% commitment. 10 men behind the ball. We can't do that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LGTL Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 What’s the matter with you lot? Just focus on the Swansea game, beat them we stay up, doesn’t matter a jot what Huddersfield do and a point at Swansea was never going to be enough, as this game has proved.
OttawaSaint Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 I bet City don’t play this ****ty on the last day. ****s!
DT Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Is there a drearier side in the premiership than Huddersfield? So dull. Really wanted them down Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Micky Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 So the Huddy not getting another point theory has fallen at the first hurdle. Not only that, but they will fancy getting more from their last two games as well. It's now a the horse rescue, us, west Brom and swans. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
OldNick Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 the 50-50 decisions going Hudds way. City don't look too bothered
bpsaint Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Goal difference means a point for Huddersfield makes no difference to us surely?
SaintAndy14 Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Thanks for nothing, City. Also means they have to win their last 2 to reach the 100 point mark, so they'll probably want to smash it when they come to us.
obelisk Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Nothing much has changed. Win on Tuesday and we'll all be happy.
Pamplemousse Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 As long as we beat Swansea we'll be safe, that doesn't change anything.
Batman Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Well, that shuts down the common thought that Huddersfield would not get another point. Reckon they will be good for a point at home to Arsenal Just have to match Swansea now.
OldNick Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 the last minute goal yesterday just gave Hudders a lift for this game. Pressure was reduced
Pamplemousse Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Well, that shuts down the common thought that Huddersfield would not get another point. Reckon they will be good for a point at home to Arsenal Just have to match Swansea now. On the other hand, opens up the possibility that we can get something against Man City, especially as we tend to play better against the big teams.
hackedoff Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 As long as we beat Swansea we'll be safe, that doesn't change anything. Yep all the have to do is beat a poor, goal shy,out of form team.
SaintBobby Posted 6 May, 2018 Posted 6 May, 2018 Basically, the Tuesday match is a play-off. Winner stays up, loser goes down. A draw probably means we go down.
