The line ups so far appear in the previous thread: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=167042#post167042 I must say I find this slightly confusing. Are you asking for the final postion to be filled by someone who was good for the club, but not so good as to make legend status? That's pretty tricky. Most players who were excellent became legends and some who deserved to be classed as legends never made it because they maybe lacked charisma or something. I'm not criticising, but I would be interested to know if all the other postions had this criteria placed on it.....no legends.....or if this is an attempt to manipulate the end result. FWIW - James Beattie
TopGun Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Is this now a single transferable vote or a list voting system? Ron Davies.
Norm Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 I'm voting for Ron Davies. George O'Brien, Derek Reeves. derry, a man of pure good taste:D
Fowllyd Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Big Ron - officially the greatest living Welshman. He'll walk this poll.
St Landrew Posted 17 January, 2009 Author Posted 17 January, 2009 Only one bloke left for this team - Ron Davies. But he's been nominated enough. He needs a stalking horse [that's what they call them, isn't it..?] Big Chiv is already there, so we'll make it Steve Moran. Remember. one nomination only, and if you mention more, then it'll be the first one, or the one you want really selected for the final vote.
Right sider Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Seeing as RD is a cert, i'll go for Alan Shearer, was still a good striker here even if the stats don't suggest it.

There is only one that fits that billing, George O'Brien. A top, top forward.
Under Weststand Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Steve Moran should be in the poll But I'll Vote for Big Ron when the time comes.
St Landrew Posted 17 January, 2009 Author Posted 17 January, 2009 You want a 'stalking horse'? There is only one that fits that billing, George O'Brien. A top, top forward. I agree Norm, and Derek Reeves too. But I can only nominate one player, so Stevie it was for me.
stivosaint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Isn't the photo of Ron on this thread him in a skate shirt taken at notarfkrap? sacriligious
St Landrew Posted 17 January, 2009 Author Posted 17 January, 2009 Isn't the photo of Ron on this thread him in a skate shirt taken at notarfkrap? sacriligious Agreed. Let's have this one back:
John Cool Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Never saw Ron play so I'll nominate Rod (Wallace) instead.
Victor Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Phil Bowyer. But he never played for us. Now, that Phil Boyer, he was brilliant - one of my all-time favourites.
St Landrew Posted 17 January, 2009 Author Posted 17 January, 2009 Andrei Kanchelskis That will be treated as a joke.
TopGun Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 I'll go with Ron too. But I hope Steve Moran gets the B spot alongside KK because they ripped defences apart with speed and subtle play. Ron was reliant on supply.
Papa Shango Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 That will be treated as a joke. Quite right, everyone knows Kanchelskis was a midfielder. David McGoldrick.
corsacar saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Ron Davies- the best header of a ball I have ever seen.
mynameisthehulk Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Never saw Ron play so I'll nominate Rod (Wallace) instead. Ace! Me too...Rod Wallace Rodney Rodney Rodney
Badger Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Ron Davies the greatest centre forward we have ever seen.
Minsk Posted 18 January, 2009 Posted 18 January, 2009 I don't think there is any doubt as to who will win this vote, but seeing as we need some other decent candidates: Shearer, Shearer, Shearer!
St Landrew Posted 19 January, 2009 Author Posted 19 January, 2009 Bloody hell, just off to bed and forgot to wind this up. The voting will begin shortly, and last until Friday night.
