nta786 Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 I think we might need to win at Leicester now. No pressure. we need to win 3 of the next 5. that isn't happening.
Shroppie Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 If ever an afternoon went from excitement and optimism to pretty well total despair, that was it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 14 April, 2018 Author Posted 14 April, 2018 See that’s how it’s done. Take the lead with no time left to capitulate.
woodsaint Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 Cant really on other results. Havent won enough games and only ourselves to blame. Embarassing that we are 6/7/8 points adrift of teams like Huddersfield, Brighton, Swansea, West Ham. That in itself is laughable
obelisk Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 Even winning that leaves us 2 pts from safety! The game against Swansea will be key if we win the game in hand.
S-Clarke Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 The game against Swansea will be key if we win the game in hand. That is the game in hand.
BotleySaint Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 The game against Swansea will be key if we win the game in hand.I suspect it'll be over by the time we get to that game. We'd have to have a run of championship winning form to stay up now and even then hope Swansea pick up no more points.
hackedoff Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 The game against Swansea will be key if we win the game in hand. The key games have already been played.
Shroppie Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 The game against Swansea will be key if we win the game in hand.We haven't got a game in hand over Swansea. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
ashnats Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 Still plenty to play for, keep playing the way we are and we’ll pick up the points we need.
OttawaSaint Posted 14 April, 2018 Author Posted 14 April, 2018 Swansea have Bournemouth and Stoke to play. It’s over.
obelisk Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 That is the game in hand. I'm treating the Leicester as that game in hand. A must win if ever there was one. Realistically it ain't going to happen though. Bournemouth to deliver the final nail?
S-Clarke Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 Still plenty to play for, keep playing the way we are and we’ll pick up the points we need. It's the hope that kills you! It's all over mate, no point stressing over it now.
Batman Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 Still plenty to play for, keep playing the way we are and we’ll pick up the points we need. There isn’t, it’s done and has been for weeks. We will go out of the cup too with not much difficulty
LaptopSaint Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 We probably need ten points from the four games that aren't against City. Not too much to ask.
obelisk Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 We haven't got a game in hand over Swansea. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk You have heard of the phrase "six pointer"?
Pamplemousse Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 If we win at Leicester, it'll give us a chance and bit of momentum going into Bournemouth. Christ, they could relegate us. How embarrassing.
S-Clarke Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 We probably need ten points from the four games that aren't against City. Not too much to ask. Given that the only team we've beaten since November is West Brom, it probably is.
Batman Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 If we win at Leicester, it'll give us a chance and bit of momentum going into Bournemouth. Christ, they could relegate us. How embarrassing. It’s happening! They will love it
Shroppie Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 You have heard of the phrase "six pointer"?Indeed. And it is. But we've played the same number of games. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Baird of the land Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 What a surprise that our rivals are less pathetic than Saints xi. Coffin firmly nailed down.
obelisk Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 Indeed. And it is. But we've played the same number of games. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk I'm aware of that but am clutching at the final straw. That's all the hope there is. Any team above us now ought to feel fairly safe.
Shroppie Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 If we win at Leicester, it'll give us a chance and bit of momentum going into Bournemouth. Christ, they could relegate us. How embarrassing.Today was the win we needed for confidence Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Saints1976 Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 So Palace 6pts clear of us, Huddy 7pts, Swansea 5pts, Brighton 7pts. What a disaster. Ouch.
striker Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 We likely need 9 pts in our next 4 games to stay up (or have a chance too). Not impossible, all these teams are beatable, but draws will not do it

Not impossible, all these teams are beatable, but draws will not do it 9 points would be enough IMO. Irrelevant however, the last win of this season will turn out to be WBA away
LaptopSaint Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 At least we haven't got the distraction of an fa cup semi fi.... oh.
OttawaSaint Posted 14 April, 2018 Author Posted 14 April, 2018 Spurs 1 City 2. Great goal by Kane. Was Eriksson and a jammy deflection.
Shroppie Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 Was Eriksson and a jammy deflection. But Kane will claim it Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Lets B Avenue Posted 14 April, 2018 Posted 14 April, 2018 Was Eriksson and a jammy deflection. Have the events of the past week at Tottenham not reached your outpost then.
OttawaSaint Posted 14 April, 2018 Author Posted 14 April, 2018 Have the events of the past week at Tottenham not reached your outpost then. No, my igloo doesn’t get the daily mail delivered. What happened?

obelisk Posted 15 April, 2018 Posted 15 April, 2018 The long forgotten feeling of reaching 40 points with games to spare while seeing off one of the "top" sides. Wonder when we'll experience that again anytime soon.
Micky Posted 15 April, 2018 Posted 15 April, 2018 The long forgotten feeling of reaching 40 points with games to spare while seeing off one of the "top" sides. Wonder when we'll experience that again anytime soon.I think it's going to be quite a few years before we feel that again in the top flight. Funny thing is during Koemans time I was quite relaxed about games knowing that we could give anybody a game and get a result. Now I'm quite relaxed in the knowledge that we have little chance of winning a game. Talk about polar opposites of expectation, but it just doesn't surprise me when we lose anymore. Heisenberg Posted 15 April, 2018 Posted 15 April, 2018 I remember someone saying that Newcastle would be top 7 before us, when Newcastle we're still in the championship.... OttawaSaint Posted 15 April, 2018 Author Posted 15 April, 2018 Stoke will probably win tomorrow. We’re going to finish last again.

LGTL Posted 15 April, 2018 Posted 15 April, 2018 Another big team having an off day against a team that isn’t us. ****ing typical. Both Arsenal and Chelsea had off days against us but we blew both opportunities because we can't defend.
OttawaSaint Posted 15 April, 2018 Author Posted 15 April, 2018 That wins the title for City so they wil be on the beach for crucial games vs our rivals. Ffs. I hate Manchester.
OttawaSaint Posted 15 April, 2018 Author Posted 15 April, 2018 Everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong this weekend. We'll scarcely have a worse weekend than this.
Window Cleaner Posted 15 April, 2018 Posted 15 April, 2018 Another big team having an off day against a team that isn’t us. ****ing typical. Cup semis are obviously the most important thing for them now. Utd won't win the title, they will finish second so they might as well prepare for next week-end really. Same with Arsenal (for the Europa) Spurs and Chelsea, don't know what happened to Saints....:)

They had to against us so not to give us a psychological advantage for next Sunday. ****ing typical.
doc oli Posted 15 April, 2018 Posted 15 April, 2018 West Brom will, despite going down, at least have the pleasure of beating United. We’ll just have the pleasure of beating West Brom. Twice.
