A player of my era, great entertainer. I believe he got the nickname Crafty Cockney due to his ability to finish using unusual combinations. So he probably checked out seven, triple seven, double sixteen.

One of the pioneers of getting darts to a mainstream audience, without the likes of Eric Bristow darts could well have failed as a televised sport. Another gone far too soon, RIP.

I grew up watching Eric. I played a lot of darts in my youth and always watched Eric Bristow when he was on the box. Proper legend. I loved watching him play. Really sad that he's gone. RIP Eric.

I forget what his recentish Twitter controversy was. Definitely a character.

Looked it up - Called abuse victims wimps and everyone piled into him as is the norm.

He conquered the World when he was 6 years younger than Alexander the Great was when he did it.
