Batman Posted 29 March, 2018 Share Posted 29 March, 2018 (edited) With the revelations surround Facebook and such like. Are any of you surprised? Any of you care? I guess the latest revelation brings the issue front and centre. Just read that the Guardian harvest your data in a very similar way. Who would have thought that!! Johnny Bognor Posted 29 March, 2018 Share Posted 29 March, 2018 This is what the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is designed to help us with. It will give us more control over who has our data and more say in what they can do with it.

Johnny Bognor Posted 29 March, 2018 Share Posted 29 March, 2018 Damn EUSSR trying to run our lives. Well we have cut and pasted it to create the UK Data Protection Bill. This is a good piece of legislation. The ePrivacy Regulation however will put the digital economy back two decades. Swings and roundabouts when it comes to the EUSSR
ecuk268 Posted 29 March, 2018 Share Posted 29 March, 2018 It depends how you use social media. If you use Facebook on a smartphone the data they collect includes tracking where you are, what applications you have installed, when you use them, what you use them for, access to your webcam and microphone at any time, your contacts, your emails, your calendar, your call history, the messages you send and receive, the files you download, the games you play, your photos and videos, your music, your search history, your browsing history, even what radio stations you listen to. Google are even worse.
