eelpie Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 I'm going to stick my neck out, because with Saga back we have a more balanced strike-force, and we are due a decent win, so I am predicting a hat-trick for Saga and a 4-1 victory! Let's be positive! COYR!
trousers Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 eelpie said: Let's be positive! no score draw
stanthemanfairoak Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 havnt got it right at home this season 3-1 sager double.
SaintRobbie Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 (edited) Donny have won the boardroom psychological battle with the erection of the train picture. They are comfortable with their manager and team and are fighting to survive in the league and are under less pressure of expectation. We a led by muppets, have our senior players queing up to leave, uncertainty in leadership, low turnout and nervous kids at home who cant produce a win. errrrr... heart = please win 3-0! head = Loss 2-1 to Donny. (MOTM Davies for a string of spectacular saves) Edited 16 January, 2009 by SaintRobbie
krissyboy31 Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 We need to win, I think we will win but it's not going to be straight forward. 2-1 from 0-1 down in the first 10 minutes.
fanimal Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 And Saga has been back for another week, Doncaster play on the deck, so 3-1 or perhaps 2 or 3-0 even as they dont score many.
70's Mike Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 Head and Heart job again but imo for once both saying the same 2-0 Saints Now Nurse where is that straight Jacket
broncoboy Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 2-1 win to the Saints coming back from one goal down for a nail biting finish You heard ithere first
Sheff Saint Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 We should win this one. Donny were a lot like us at the Keepmoat. Rubbish at the back, pretty in the middle and rubbish up front. Just a bit more rubbish than us. I don't want to be a doom merchant but lose this and i just can't see that we'll stay up. So we won't. Saints 3 - 0 Donny
londonsaint1604 Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 Match abandoned in the 2nd half due to floodlight failure, with saints 1-0 up.
1976_Child Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 Saints to win 8-3. You heard it here first. Tomorrow is going to be a goal-fest. Saga will be slotting them in left, right and center.
St Marco Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 Massive game. 2 poor teams strugling. We were very lucky in the 1st game what with the own goal and the penalty. Hopefully we get the same luck again! So i'm also going for a 2-0 win to Saints Just hope the lads don't bottle it, a loss really will put us in the ****
ottery st mary Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 3-1 to Saints...Put money on it.. Coyr Just in case I am wrong 3-1 to Doncaster.
wightman35 Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 3-0 to Saints by half time. Saints fans in heart thumping leg crossing state most of second half, but Kelvin to make miraculous saves to keep a clean sheet. Then Surman scores a penalty in stoppage time. 4-0 to us.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 I dont know why,but i think Saints will win 3-1.
John B Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 It is hard to believe that we are worrying about beating Doncaster at home in a vital league match when a few years ago we were in the Premiership and they were in the conference 2 0 Saints
Dalek2003 Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 I said before the last game that we would win three in a row, so I am going for a win 3-0 to the saints making it 2 out of 3
DT Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 We don't win must win games any more. 2-1 to Donny. And Jan survives.
Micky Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 Time for some consistency methinks... hence: Southampton 2 V 0 Doncaster Rovers DMG to get 3 in 3, with Saga getting off the mark.
Under Weststand Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 Oh how we need to win this one but I think it will end up a disappointing 1-1 draw.
saintstr1 Posted 16 January, 2009 Posted 16 January, 2009 Fancy we might hit a bit of form 3-0 to the Saints
saintdownunder Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 It may be that the heat`s got to me over here in Aussie but Saints 4-0 winners
Hamilton Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Well, this is it - a real must-win game. If we win, we're five points ahead of Doncaster; if we lose, they're a point above us. Furthermore, the three teams above us are all playing at home. If we lose, we're surely mired in a relegation battle for the rest of the season. If we win, and a couple of the other teams above us falter, we may have the momentum to pull free fairly soon. We MUST win. I think we will - but, as usual, it'll probably be a gut-wrenching struggle. 2-1

sperm_john Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 im not feeling a big score, not anything like 3 - 0, so im gonna guess its 2-1 saints
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Southampton nil. Unless we play 4-4-2.
itchen_dan Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Saints 2-0 Donny 2-0 @ half time saga to score along with surman COYR!!
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Saints should beat Donny at home. So for that reason alone i'm going for a 0-2 defeat to put us deeper in the mire. Of course Jan will still have a job.
Ian the Red Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Saints will win but as usual it wont be easy! 1-0 at HT then we'll get 2 more in teh last 5 mins after a string of Davis saves Saints 3 0 Doncaster COYR!!!!
musesaint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Let's be honest - nothing less than a win will do This is a 20 pointer ..sod the 6 nonsense
alpine_saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 I cannot imagine losing this one, somehow... If we do, things are even worse than even I rant on here. 0-0 :-(
SaintRobbie Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Right... sod it. This is a relegation 6 pointer. I'm going to support the team... but if JP has the kids roll over again and hasnt prepared them for the importance of this game then I will protest my head off. COYR!
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 Don't care how we play, how lucky or scrappy or controversial etc but will settle for a 1-0 win and being out of the bottom three please.
Saintsnodisbelieving Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 I think it could be a goalless draw, but hope it will be a win for Southampton. and so my prediction is two nil to Southampton. I have been unable to create a new post, but just wanted folks to know that I am running a prize draw in connection with my Saints blog. One of my sponsors has kindly donated an England shirt and so anyone posting a comment between now and the end of Feb on my blog will be entered into the prize draw. from one saints fan to you all good luck and thank you if you take the time to have a look. http://saintsnodisbelieving.blogspot.com/
glkdcdes Posted 17 January, 2009 Posted 17 January, 2009 0 1 last minute goal to doncaster. will have missed 2 or 3 open goals, but would have passed the ball well. Some one will say they wanted it more.
