spyinthesky Posted 16 March, 2018 Posted 16 March, 2018 Apparently closing for 'refurbishment' Wonder if lease is coming to an end? Every time I have walked past there are no customers in there even with 50% discounts available. Discounts now up to 70% Plenty of Kelvin Davis Testimonial scarves available if anyone interested
Matthew Le God Posted 16 March, 2018 Posted 16 March, 2018 Apparently closing for 'refurbishment' Wonder if lease is coming to an end? Every time I have walked past there are no customers in there even with 50% discounts available. Discounts now up to 70% It is closing for a month for a major refurbishment, I'm not sure why you think that means it is closing down. Announced last week... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-03-09/westquay-store-refurbishment-march-april-2018 They (like every other club) always do huge discounts towards the end of the season, because very soon the number of people wanting 2017/18 season merchandise will drop sharply.
Matthew Le God Posted 16 March, 2018 Posted 16 March, 2018 Preparing for life out of the Premier League. If that was true why would they be spending money on improving the shop?
spyinthesky Posted 16 March, 2018 Author Posted 16 March, 2018 If that was true why would they be spending money on improving the shop? Seems odd that they feel the need to alter what is a relatively small unit Only time will tell whether this is indeed a refurb
Matthew Le God Posted 16 March, 2018 Posted 16 March, 2018 Only time will tell whether this is indeed a refurb Why would they lie about it? No need for conspiracy theories.
Bad Wolf Posted 16 March, 2018 Posted 16 March, 2018 Preparing for life out of the Premier League. The shop was there all the way through our seven years outside the top flight.
spyinthesky Posted 16 March, 2018 Author Posted 16 March, 2018 Why would they lie about it? No need for conspiracy theories. MLG Correct I will leave it there

S-Clarke Posted 16 March, 2018 Posted 16 March, 2018 Closed for refurbishment is standard retail jargon for we are selling up !! It isn't, because they are actually closed for a refurb. They're upgrading the EPOS and repositioning it (allow for more till space).
Saint_clark Posted 16 March, 2018 Posted 16 March, 2018 The shop survived all through our drop down the leagues, I highly doubt it's struggling now.

Pedro Posted 16 March, 2018 Posted 16 March, 2018 Halfords in Eastleigh is going through the same process Didn't they have a fire?
Marsdinho Posted 17 March, 2018 Posted 17 March, 2018 Seems odd that they feel the need to alter what is a relatively small unit Only time will tell whether this is indeed a refurb Why does the size of the unit matter, you change clothes every day (I assume) and you are a lot smaller than the SFC shop in WQ (I assume)
Wurzel Posted 17 March, 2018 Posted 17 March, 2018 Closed for refurbishment is standard retail jargon for we are selling up !!
