First Saints manager called Mark Hughes to be appointed on the 14th March 2018.

I genuinely was going to say "First Saints manager called Mark" but then I remembered our old friend Mr Wotte.

First (permanent) Saints manager to have played at St Mary's before (Dennis Wise and Jason Dodd did but they were only caretakers). Mark Hughes played for Blackburn in 2001.

And to have played at both The Dell and St Mary's.

Didn't Pellegrino play for Liverpool against us at St Mary's?

Think you may be right (in our relegation season or when Sturrock was in charge so 2004, or 5).

Didn`t Dennis Wise score a score in a 2-2 away draw with Ipswich whilst caretaker manager?

I think Redknapp was still in charge at that point.

Was in The Championship and Redknapp was in charge.

Not Saints related, but seeing as he got dumped out of the cup with Stoke at the hands of League Two Cov in round 3, and then got the boot, would he be the first manager to then go on and win the cup as the manager of another club?

Hopefully after Sunday he’ll be the first Saints manager to have:

Scored against Saints

Beaten Saints as a manager

Scored for Saints

Beaten another team as manager
