Batman Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Right No time for the famous saints Web snobbery. We are in the shyt and need an immediate fix. Silva, hughes....anyone?
Wrensup Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Maybe the Silva Benfica link as spurred us into gear to get him in!
Pamplemousse Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Strachan would be brilliant, the players wouldn't know what hit them. Probably Marco Silva though, he's the best option I can think of.
DuncanRG Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Silva is surely waiting for Everton in the summer.
Heisenberg Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Silva will save us!! Just hope LES REED doesn't get the deciding vote.
Saint_clark Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Silva will save us!! Just hope LES REED doesn't get the deciding vote. What if he wants Silva?
Atlanta Saint Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Need someone who can motivate and reinstall some character in the players.
ooh it's a corner Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 This is brilliant. It's like summer come early... I want somebody inspiring. The biggest sodding name we can buy. (and not Redknapp)
Heisenberg Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Hughes has the potential to relegate 2 teams in one season....
Nordic Saint Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Paul Cook as a short-term fix to keep us up or Javier Calleja to make us a top 6 team again. It's a tough choice as the sort of motivator you need to keep us up with the limitations of our current squad and so few games remaining isn't necessarily the same as the type of manager you need to build and coach our squad in the long-term.
saint1977 Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Strachan would be brilliant, the players wouldn't know what hit them. Probably Marco Silva though, he's the best option I can think of. Would love it to be WGS, the training would be brutal but exactly what's needed. More likely is Hughes or Silva. Duncan RG - I don't think Everton will sack Sam this summer after stabilising them and a traumatic recruitment search. I think we are as good as it gets for Silva, he'll have to pull off a couple of giant killings again big teams but with a new manager you never know.
Heisenberg Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 What are the bookies saying? Whose the early leader?
beatlesaint Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 What are the bookies saying? Whose the early leader? Silva and Bilic on Sky Bet
Toomer Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 As long as it's not bagpuss, nothing would suprise me with that ***t Reed.
Atlanta Saint Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Chris Coleman, Silva, AVB Coleman......LMFAO. Isn't he botton of the Championship?
trousers Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Silva and Bilic on Sky BetWouldn't be unhappy with either of those
JWade Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 About time, if you ask me. At least this gives us a fighting chance of staying up this season. Who would you like to see replace him? For me, it would be someone like Marco Silva or Mark Hughes. We need someone with Premier League experience, someone who will be able to stabilise us and galvanise the players to get us some much needed results!
Heisenberg Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Don't get too excited lads.....remember what we are dealing with.
SaintZamboni Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Eduardo Berizza or Peter Bosz for me. Won't happen but I'd love it!
Pamplemousse Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Coleman......LMFAO. Isn't he botton of the Championship? I don't think Guardiola could do anything with Sunderland. They may as well stick with him and let him rebuild, sacking their manager every season hasn't got them anywhere.

Wiggles31 Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Silva and Bilic on Sky Bet Either of those. Surely with a winnable quarter final we’ll have someone in place in the next 72 hours.
Dalek2003 Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Glenn Hoddle, come and save us like you should have been allowed to in 2004
OldNick Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 Tim Sherwood FFSI had a sneaky feeling about him , it was the way he reacted when he spoke about Saints on GOS a week or so back and then mentioned how the Newcastle centre half should have been sent off against Liverpool and how that was unfair on Saints. He is good at blooding youngsters etc etc
Dusic Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 No incentive really for Silva with Benfica or Everton on the horizon.
aintforever Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 I would get Strachan in just for the hell of it. Give him another crack at the FA Cup.
EBS1980 Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 With or without PL experience, what do you think?
Greenridge Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 No incentive really for Silva with Benfica or Everton on the horizon. I think whoever it is will get offered a short-term contract with a huge financial incentive bonus to stay up. In which case any unemployed manager is a candidate on that basis.
Heisenberg Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 No incentive really for Silva with Benfica or Everton on the horizon. The benfica link could have been carefully timed agent drop. Smoke out that rat Leslie Simply has to be Silva..... Surely
beatlesaint Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 I think whoever it is will get offered a short-term contract with a huge financial incentive bonus to stay up. In which case any unemployed manager is a candidate on that basis. Thats what I would do.
Stu Man Do Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 From the BBC; Tord we have received from the street is that Southampton are hoping to have a replacement for Mauricio Pellegrino in place by the weekend. They face Wigan on Sunday in the quarter finals of the FA Cup. The club has confirmed Assistant Manager Carlos Compagnucci and Assistant First Team Coach Xavier Tamarit have also parted company with the club. Dave Watson and Kelvin Davis both remain on the coaching staff at St Mary's. Southampton have had just 1 win in their last 17 league games and their next league fixture is away to West Ham United. You just know it’s davis and Watson on Sunday! Eek!
Saint_clark Posted 12 March, 2018 Posted 12 March, 2018 (edited) John Hughes has suddenly come out of nowhere to be favourite on most betting sites? Who the f*ck!? EDIT; they must have put John instead of Mark. Bizarre. Edited 12 March, 2018 by Saint_clark
