Undersoil Heating

I seem to recall years ago in the grim days we didn't have the undersoil heating connected cost against us never getting bad weather and being above sea level?

Does anyone know if its now working just thinking of how frozen the ground is...I couldn't even get a tee peg in....

It was installed in 2014 to meet PL regulations meaning every stadium has to have it...

Doesn't mean a game won't be postponed as if the areas surrounding the stadium are deemed unsafe they'll call it off. The pitch will be fine however.

I would expect the game to be postponed on that bases

How bad is it in Southampton at the moment?

I've already booked train tickets for Saturday, which weren't cheap!

Currently bright and sunny, as it has been for the entire week at most, great weather....if it wasn't absolutley f**ing freezing though.

I have a feeling Saturday may be a bit slippy though.

I did the stadium tour recently and was told the undersoil heating is in place but has never been used. Only 2 games at SMS have been postponed. One because of a waterlogged pitch after a deluge just before ko, and one because outside the stadium was icy and dangerous.

I'm planning to come from Shropshire unless trains aren't running. Don't expect problems.

Relax. Forecast for Saturday is OK. Grey and drizzly, with a maximum of 6 degrees. It's what happens on the pitch that is likely to be the problem

I expect Pellegrino is jotting it all down about this snow business in his little booky wook marked 'excuses', alongside 'that nasty Virgil man' and 'us not being Barcelona/players are ignoring me again'. And directly underneath the underlined 'A draw is really very good, oh yes"
