Toadhall Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 12:30 I expect. Wonder if there'll be any changes from the usual. [emoji106]
nta786 Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 get off at Wigan stattion at 1254 due to delays can i just say mr hughes you've already won me over with that line up come on saints lets fuc*ing have them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colinjb Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 2 strikers! Hallelujah!!!!! Appears to be 4-4-f**king-2.
beatlesaint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Two up front !! Hughesey Hughesey Hughesey !!
Saints foreva Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Good to see Yoshida back on the bench. Thought his injury was more serious.
Pilchards Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 ****ing yeah, What a team with Lemina or Holjberg as a holding midfielder so we don’t get over run in central midfield.
Manuel Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Got to be our most attacking line up. Hughes going all out for a result, good man.
Greenridge Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Good to see Yoshida back on the bench. Thought his injury was more serious. Hughes is a Witch Doctor. Already healed Yoshi.
Daft Kerplunk Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 If he plays that sort of line up for the rest of the season and the players are up for it, things could get positive
LuckyNumber7 Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Loving the look of that lineup, so refreshing!
suewhistle Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Are those new photographs in that line up? Is it me or do they look happier?
Baird of the land Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Glad to see Gabbi in. Disappointed to see Carrillo is still in. Would have liked to see Hesketh on the bench too. I'll be interested to see how Boufal/Tadic handle the conditions & being roughed up a little.
5string Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Good line up. Hopefully he'll play Tadic left-ish, Boufal right-ish, Lemina just behind them, Hojbjerg holding DM (although I'd be ok if Lemina & Hoj swapped). Balanced bench, too. Runners ready to come on later & hurt tired opposition. Cedric needs to have a good game, learn to cross & shoot, and not fall over! Positives!
Manuel Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 I'll be interested to see how Boufal/Tadic handle the conditions & being roughed up a little. Expecting a dive-fest.
Jack Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 As long as Tadic is on the left, I’m more than happy with that. Weird feeling seeing a teamsheet and not being instantly angry.
Lighthouse Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Are those new photographs in that line up? Is it me or do they look happier? I was thinking that too.
Dusic Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Hopefully we can hit the channels and get their back four facing their own goal.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Hey, if he wants to win me over that's a good ****ing start.
shurlock Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Hopefully we can hit the channels and get their back four facing their own goal. Derry?
doddisalegend Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 2 strikers! Hallelujah!!!!! Appears to be 4-4-f**king-2. really I'd say 4-2-3-1 if it was good old 4-4-2 wouldn't you just play Redmond and Sims as traditional wingers? I'd imagine Gabbi behind Guido, Tadic and Boufal left and right.
davefizzy14 Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Bloody happy with that line up. Come on Hughesy, get us to Wembley! COYR
shurlock Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Are those new photographs in that line up? Is it me or do they look happier? Except Carrillo, of course.
Toon Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Great to see Hughes having the balls to change things straight away by dropping Romeu and starting two strikers. Also shows you can start with two strikers and still have another on the bench (Long). MP must be stupefied. Positive line-up let’s hope for an equally positive performance! COYS! Andy Durman Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 4-2-4 or 4-3-3. Love this line up. Very positive
Saint Pete Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Will be interested to see how we line up formation wise, but you can see that Hughes is going with the principal of putting our best players on the pitch, which is oddly refreshing given what we have become used to.
doddisalegend Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Not that Hughes can do anything about it, given the squad, but its still the same dodgy defence lets hope Hoj isn't going to have one of his "free ball to the opposition with every pass" special offers today he needs to right on it to protect the hapless duo at the back.
Andy Durman Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Hojbjerg and Lemina holding. Attack looks very flexible
Batman Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 That’s how I see it Or boufal centre and Gabbiadini right? Doubt it but getting more better players on the pitch is a ****ing start at least!
DT Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Instantly looks better, that line-up. Two up front ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pilchards Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Have Wigan got a weaken team as that Grigg guy is nowhere to be seen.
Toadhall Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Or boufal centre and Gabbiadini right? Doubt it but getting more better players on the pitch is a ****ing start at least! Could be and yes
Toadhall Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Have Wigan got a weaken team as that Grigg guy is nowhere to be seen. He’s on the team sheet as is Roberts skate ****

You seem a little obsessed with continually running him down when he’s been one of only a couple of players to come out of this season with any credit whatsoever. Plenty of other more deserving players for you to target.
Suhari Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 I like that. We do have a slight lack of pace in the side...however Gabbi is quick off the mark and clever with his movement, and Boufal has a bit of pace with the ball at his feet, so should be okay. And 2 strikers! Hell yeah (no wonder Gabbi is smiling in that picture!!!) If we can get the midfield closer to the front two, with Gabbis movement playing off Carrillo, and assuming the rest of the team have been reminded how to pass forwards, we might see an actual goal or two.
hasper57saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 (edited) Song for today. Sparky Sparkys got two up the front Two up the front Two up the front Sparky Sparkys got two up the front And b....cks to the whingers Edited 18 March, 2018 by hasper57saint Missing line
SFC Forever Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 I am feeling more positive by the minute. Now let us see Gabbi get his first hat-trick for us.
davefoggy Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 I've not been this excited before a Saints game since the League Cup Final last season!! COYR!!!!
