LGTL Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Loads in southampton, this could be interesting and tempted to sack it off in all honesty.
trousers Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Heading out now. Mental road conditions in North East Hampshire... Might see you there!
John Boy Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Heading out now. Mental road conditions in North East Hampshire... Might see you there! Just outside Basingstoke flippin snowing fit to bust, anyone hit a main road yet?
shirleysfc Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 On the A34 - lots of snow but driving conditions not horrendous. Just passed a snow plough...
John Boy Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 On the A34 - lots of snow but driving conditions not horrendous. Just passed a snow plough... Lucky you got; 4-5 inches of snow on the ground be nice to just get out of our road!!! Bloody the Russians!
niceandfriendly Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Have a great day everyone and drive safely. Shout for us like you've never shouted before. COYMFR
whelk Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Only a light dusting in Wigan. Cold wind though. Lots of slappers out. Any joy?
whelk Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Weather just says it will feel like -8 degrees when game is on.
East Kent Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Good luck to our traveling fans safe journey , hope you get rewarded with a win esp after the 6 nations disaster yesterday which I had to watch in odd 5 mins bursts to avoid a meltdown.
lordswoodsaints Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 I tried but at an average speed of 40mph it would’ve taken to long, got as far as the a34.... Good luck and stay safe to all those that make it.
Badger Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Good amount in Cheltenham this morning, but hoping will be okay if/once we reach the motorway.
jawillwill Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Wigan marathon postponed apparently. Pitch inspection at about 10:30 but doubt that'll be a problem from what I've heard. Good luck to everyone on the roads. Hopefully they can at least push KO an hour or two back to give everyone more time to arrive but no doubt they can't due to TV and people complaining about missing trains home. I suspect we may be missing a quite a few of the 4000 with tickets.

Sevvy Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 A safe trip to all that are travelling, take care all. 0-2 win for us. COYR.
Windy Miller Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Safe travels Saints fans. Reading half marathon cancelled so my services no longer required as bag carrier to the missus. About 4 inches of snow here in Berkshire.
musesaint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Safe travels for all you going today. Get us to the semifinals
It's There Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Snowed in in North Herefordshire. Travel safely everyone.
The Cat Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 People being advised to avoid the m62 pal, it'll probably be shut anyway. I've just driven back from Leeds to harrogate, no idea how i got back unscathed. Couldn't get up a hill, so turned round, nearly slid into two parked cars at different times, I'm really not sure how i didn't crash. Not sure whether to bother now. Roads in Huddersfield aren't great and my mate who has our tickets isn't leaving London.
MbaleSaint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 I tried but at an average speed of 40mph it would’ve taken to long, got as far as the a34.... Good luck and stay safe to all those that make it. A34 fine now & M40 completely clear. Not yoo late to get going again.
Shroppie Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Has snowed in Shropshire but roads clear. M6 was bad Knutsfotd to Macclesfield, but improving. Trains up here seem fine. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Sheaf Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 We've had 3 or 4 inches of snow overnight here in Sheffield and similar in other parts of the north by all accounts. All the cross pennine routes will be closed and I saw a news item warning people to avoid the M62 today. I reckon there's a good chance the game will get postponed.
CB Fry Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Wigan still flogging tickets on Twitter this morning.

davefizzy14 Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Safe travelling to all the fans going up there today. 2-0 to us COYR
trousers Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 At Stafford services. Well, that was fun. Took me half an hour to get up the hill near my house. The M3 and M25 were OK but the M40 was dodgy in places. Roads much clearer after the M6 Toll road.

The M3 and M25 were OK but the M40 was dodgy in places. Roads much clearer after the M6 Toll road. I think we should all track Trousers progress like one of those plane satellite things. If he can make it safely (and good luck) then there is hope yet for man kind. Keep us posted. I am thinking twice about driving to Winchester to watch it at a mate’s house. That’s how intrepid I am.
LGTL Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Drove to Basingstoke, missed our train to Reading. So jumped in a cab and made the train there. Now one change at Birmingham and hopefully plain sailing from there.
John D Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 No pitch inspection planned. Overnight snow in Manchester melting fast. Safe travels all. I'll set off in about an hour!
Noodles34 Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 left home at 7-30, up the road, slid into a tree, quite a bang without being serious, aside from smashed front bumper, smashed fog light etc. Soon realised though that the car did not feel right, steering wheel turning to 10 o clock to be straight and the traction control had gone faulty. Turned back at winchester, gutted, think would have been okay aside from that. Been to every round but not this one now.

Shroppie Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 On the train from Crewe. Few minutes late but otherwise no problem. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
sotonjoe Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 We know which will be the priority here don't we? Tv hopefully. There will be more people watching on tv than at the ground, and the tv money will be more than the gate receipts too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
beatlesaint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 They appear to be watering the pitch at Wigan - this from their twitter feed
mrfahaji Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 At Stafford services. Well, that was fun. Took me half an hour to get up the hill near my house. The M3 and M25 were OK but the M40 was dodgy in places. Roads much clearer after the M6 Toll road. I’m just going past Stafford services now, so about 1.5 behind Trousers. By the time we did M40 it was fine, apart from the outside lane at times.
Shroppie Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 I'm enjoying my first pint with breakfast inWigan now. Virtually no snow. Busy with half marathon runners. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

trousers Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Made it! Hardly any snow up here. Roads were fine after M6 Toll. COYR!

Manuel Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 When the team sheet released? 12:30 I expect. Wonder if there'll be any changes from the usual.
Pilchards Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 12:30 I expect. Wonder if there'll be any changes from the usual. Would be funny if he plays with no strikers
suewhistle Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Just outside Basingstoke flippin snowing fit to bust, anyone hit a main road yet? Ah, that would be why my game there this afternoon was called off.:-) I think most of the team were in their beds waiting for the news from the manager!
Yorkshire Saint Posted 18 March, 2018 Posted 18 March, 2018 Just arrived at the Pizza Hut outside Wigan stadium from Leeds .. M62 is fine it’s just bloody cold
